Went to Hate today, 11/18/11, and killed her for my BP. She also dropped an Intricate Defiant Charm.

74 rogue single pulled (sneak pull) from NE of Corrupter of Life area all the way to zone in. Dropped BP on first try.
It took two attempts to pull because it seemed to lose aggro after a certain distance.
Any rogue with SoS should be able to pull it single.

loaded my 71 rogue alt, trained it to the zone and beat it down to 60% life or so before my rogue died, pal was nearby in the zone but nothing too close to agro. all mobs went back to spawn point besides the thought destroyer. engaged with my 46 pal with merc and got him down to 75% from about 90% by the time i zoned back in with my rogue. ran at 10% and dropped my bp. mob was at the loc listed, dont thoink there is a ph. took 10 mins
Found out that this mob has a very large agro range and would attack at great ranges as long as it can see you. I did not have any INV or INV to UD up, but just opened a door and "she" runs at me.
Also at low HP she flees so be ready for snare.

Went to Hate twice last night to kill this mob, me as 60 Shammy,
and friend as 60 Pally going for epic. First time, found
her at -150, -600. When she got to 80%, about *6* adds appeared
out of nowhere and wiped the pally. I ran, but they did
not follow me.
Rez, rinse, repeat. Second time around same thing...no
mobs anywhere nearby...we attack her, and sure as hell
she summons about 6 adds that then do a TPW.
Has this always been the case? I saw no posts indicating
this "trap" she sets, but it's clear that this is
now a VERY hard mob to just find and kill on the fly,
without crowd control, a raid, or being well above
level 60.

Popped today as one of the yard trash mobs loc -189 -587 after a couple days (about an hour a day) of killing mobs in the area. Eastern side of Cathedral, north of the Corruptor of Life.

Thanks to Evila and Lauzer for making this kill pretty quick. It was at 11.15 pm on Antonius Bayle. SHe was right where previous info stated.

She was an easy kill, probably helped that since I'm 70 and never started my epic. In any case she will run when at 20% so keep a root up iof you don't want her to get you trained. She was up when i arrived and the location in the other post of -150 -600 was right on.

I took her down this morning with my 70 Necro at 11:35 eastern. On The Bertoxx server.
She indeed does spawn at -150 -600 I killed the roamers as they passed by and she popped within 12 hours.
Dropped the Tained BP.
My Pally one happy dwarf now.

cant seem to get this guy to pop. I have been killing around -150 -600 like earlier posts said and just having no luck with a thought destroyer popping. Any changes someone knows about?

I just saw the thought destroyer up approximately 24 hours after I saw it killed last. I wasn't on inside that 24 hours, so I don't know exactly when it respawned. I do know it was within 24 hours. Perhaps they changed the spawn time on this.

If I remember correctly he's on a 7 day timer. Makes camping him almost impossible.

seems to be a timed spawn, as in no ph. spent a few hours in hate killing various mobs in the area before she spawned around -150, -600. didn't seem to roam. mark of the righteous took three casts, ran at low hp, resistant to stuns and root. boxed 66 cleric. would've been an easy solo. good luck, paladins.

IS there any way for a dark elf cleric of Innoruuk to get faction in erudin to MQ this BP?
It dropped while we were up there messing (along with chanter vamppire powder and mage earth stick not a bad sesh)we read about the BP being for pal epic and as cleric had a pal alt he looted.
Now we have the minor problem of his cleric being "slightly" KOS to the hand in guy and all those around him

to gain faction in erudin i did it with a eruid Shadow Knight, all you need to do is kill kobolds in the warrens and collect the teeth. once you get the faction on the guards you can go in and do the faction quest inside the paladin guild. this can take a while but its worth it. when you do the faction quest you will notice that your heratic faction will go down but is easy to get just by killing kobolds. another way to get the faction is to kill the guards in paineel now or either of the 2 quest givers in the paineel newbie area. I hope this helps all you looking for the faction.

Use to pop from a scorn banshee but now this mob pops at neg 150 neg 600 having random PHers as roaming mobs. Killed her 3 times now due to the large argo range she has. Get close and she come running around corners. Dropped 1 item and the epic Pally BP every time.
Hope that helps. This is an easy camp to add to a stair group.

Now that you can port to hate via the wizard npc in tranquility i would do this:
1. Go xp or do something productive till next time the server resets (assuming your not in some type of rush for some reason). Once it resets:
2. Get a fuligan hate stone (52p from 3rd gate cleric guild 1st floor) (would just make a lvl 1 DE and trade through the shared bank windows).
3. Trade the stone to the npc in PoTranq to get to hate.
4. Pacify past the bridge by the entrance.
5. Run the rest of the way to the loc (neg 150 neg 600 ) without any need for invis/pacify.
6. Hit holyforge when you get to her, and in 1 minute you just soloed yourself the BP without having to camp it. -- If you are worried about soloing, bring a friend or two and you should have it np.

Directly to the right of #12 on this map. She has a much larger agro range than the rest of the mobs in Hate. She also has a high MR and runs at low health. Easy kill for a 65 druid/mage duo. Just let the pet trail off with her and finish her off as after 10 resists of snare I just let it go and started nuking...

After being on watch for this mob and having friends that camp up there at least 20 hours a week I finally went to the GMs on this one. They said the mob is up and it might just be a rare spawn. Don't get it since the Thought corrupter is always up and the fleshless skull drops at least once or twice a week for them but never the Thought Destroyer. But nope.... its there just have to figure what will spawn it
The GMs were lazy and told you something that was not true just to get rid of your question. What they told you was wrong. Even Sony eventually admitted that the Thought Destroyer had been inadvertantly left out of the Plane of Hate revamp.
The patch on November 5 re-added the Thought Destroyer to the Plane of Hate. Nonetheless, thanks to this careless mistake by Sony, and the misinformation covering it up, I spent over 100 hours real time trying to hunt a mob that at that time did not exist, and which was the last drop I needed for my epic.

I have been unable to fine anyone anywhere that has seen the bp drop in the new Hate.
I sent reqeusts for help to The Nameless GM's on verant's website and was told that they "no of no issues" with the BP. When I told them that I was reporting an issue, they responded that I should do /bug in game. I did that a week ago with all my contact info and detailed issue description and have had zero response.
I am now convinced that it is bugged and that VI will do nothing about it without some very loud complaints. I suggest that EVERYONE send complaints to VI to try and get some attention.

Everything here is outta date ... no paladin's posting here and doing Epic ? is it corruptor or destroyer ... Where does it spawn in NEW hate .. cause there is no OLD hate anymore .. is it just a super long camp of banshees and hoping this thing will pop ? or it found in a specific area ?? Help needed

The tainted Breastplate is part of the Paladin Epic. Used to see one drop almost every raid(saw 2 in one raid) but I haven't seen it in the last couple. Check out the Fiery Defender and Fiery Avenger quests if your curious about their wierd epic quests.

lets just say you are best off worrying about killing it. Taking its picture should be a last thought. That and you can't see to far here, even with ultravision. Doesn't matter anywys, everything here looks the same after a while. Even the named, they are just taller or bigger than the normal. Rather boreing visually...

We were in Hate last night (11-3-01) and got this MOB once. The only loot on it was the Tainted Darksteel Breastplate (for the Paladin epic). This took place in the first floor of the Maestro building.

These do drop imbrued armor, just like the Scorn Banshees. Got a pair of boots from one.

These can also spawn with the name Thought Corruptor. Same level, same drops, same everything. They randomly pop from Scorn Banshees after they die. Chance is about 1 in 15 that you'll get one.

So, second floor. They sometimes spawn from the corpses of dead Scorn Banshees and are 100 percent magic resistant. Total tank battle. Lots of fun.

Yes this guy does the Bp needed for the paladin FD quest, I know i got the bp off of one i got the kill for last night. i was solo when i got the kill i just came back from a linkdeath and saw a huge fight going on i hit assist and we eventually claered them all but only about 8 or so people survived that one.

these drop bard armor also. i was suprised to see when i checked it, it had 2 bp's on it. one the pally epic part and the other was an imbrued. i wear the imbrued now :)

Careful, killed this creature twice while in Hate. Both times it spawned immediatly after killing a scorn banshee (bard armor monsters). Be prepared if you pull the banshees, the thought destroyer hits for about 180 and can be a pain.

This is the guy that drops the Dark Steel Brestplate, Used in the paladin FD quest. Good luch all, Remember if you are Paladin make SURE you loot this item.
