She spawned at or very near (n1778, n267) at 22:43:02, game time was 12 AM. I could not have missed the spawn by more than 30 seconds, and I bet it was less than 10 seconds. I was clicking track very often and when I saw her on track, she was the closest thing to me (tracksort distance). This location is near the bend in that little crooked road far to the east of the outpost.
She proceeded directly west as a rather leisurely pace until she reached (n1752, p1907) at 22:47:00 with minimal stops. Here she paused for about 45 seconds while she polished her nails and touched up her eye-shadow, and then took off Northeast.
When she reached location (n205, p889) at approximately 22:50:36 the Queen met with a drachnid weblurker. She died at 22:51:42 while running west *very* slowly. She could not have run more than 50 units at most. The weblurker was down about 1/3, no more than 1/2.
These three loc's [(n1778, n267) (n1752, p1907) (n205, p889)] form a nearly equilateral triangle. I propose that if she had not encountered any hostiles, she would have returned to her original spawn point and despawned. This is, however, conjecture.
I need to observe a drachnid weblurker battling a single drixie or a single pilgrim in order to judge her offensive capabilities. She con's red to a level 19 Ranger, so she is not level 20 as reported in the bestiary. She cannot be very much higher though from my impressions with the drachnid.
I have spotted her on track a total of 5 times in 10 hours split over 4 sessions. She is not a common spawn.
During one continuous 4 hour tracking session, she was seen 4 times at locations (n1670, n457), (n1487, n443) and (n1816, p1568). The other time was approximately (n1500, p500) but I didn't get a good /loc. These 4 times I proceeded to switch to my 26 (at the time) Iksar SK who has wanted to kill her real hard for a real long time. The first time I got booted making the switch. The next two times it started to rain AS SOON AS I got near the co-ords and I could not find her. The last time I got jumped by a drixie. I survived the battle, but with 1 bub of health, no ht, and almost no mana. The only reason I had that much health was that the drixies run, and when it did I stopped melee and lifespiked the stew out of it.
Next night, 2 hours tracking with no sightings. Night after that, 2 hours tracking with no sightings. Last night, she popped on top of me (see above) after 1 hour. I stayed one additional hour with no sightings.
These 4 points are consistent with the path taken during the one good track.
My suggestion: Pick her off near the spawn point (n1778, n267) before she gets too far west. Once she reaches the western-most point the drixie concentration is way too high for a reasonable chance of single combat. Once she starts her trip northeast she will almost certainly encounter a drachnid and be lost to you, although waiting at the northern most point (n205, p889) might be viable if you are willing to clear out the spiders. This might be easier than staying clear of the pilgrims. There is one phrase you learn, because you will be saying it a lot while hunting for the queen. It is "You know, those pilgrims have a HUGE aggro radius."
You will probably need help if you are under level 40. (My estimate only, as a 39 SK friend nearly died umteen dozen times while waiting two hours there. He was feigning death every 5 minutes.) Anyone else will be greened and low-blued to death waiting for her to spawn. Everything in this zone aggros Iksars and some of everything I've encountered can see through invisibility. Some person of any good race needs to stand at the spawn site who has keen eyes, or preferably a Ranger (Yay! Go Rangers! Go ahead and crack about "Ranger down" standing in the middle of Drixie Central for 2 hours. I dare you.) using track. When the queen pops you've got less than 4 minutes to marshal your forces and pull her to the cliff, which is *not* safe, but is merely safer than the interior.
Okay this mob is a rare spawn in FV. The Firino Drixies are it's place holders. She drops the drixie wings. Return Drixie Wings, a Banded Mask and a fire emerald to Sarth Scarscale to get the Dreadscale Mask.
