I needed to clear this for my Shaman epic, and did it solo at 63. Here's the method I used...
First I repeated the black dire and gem turn in steps to max faction, instead of doing the CoM pages camping. Much quicker.
After I was maxed out with the final dire turn in, I came to CoM. Killed the captain for the first key. Then I cleared through the throne area, and headed up to the platforms. Platform 2 is locked. I cast lev on myself, and leved up onto the post on the guardrail right against the building on platform 2. I ran off the side and over onto the walkway. It was easy, and I was past the first locked door.
This brought me around to the 3rd platform, and another locked door. Neh`Ashiir didn't seem to be up(No ghost noises when pressed against the door). I did "/target a_black_reaver". It worked, and now I had the mob in the room on the far side of the door targeted. I sent my pet to attack. Pet pushed against the door for a few seconds, then popped through and engaged. As soon as he had aggro, I back up and spam the button to back off the pet. After a few seconds he pops through the door, pulling the reaver back to me. I dispatch the reaver, and Neh`Ashiir spawns. /target Neh`Ashiir, and send in the pet. Pull back the pet after aggro, and now we're fighting outside on the walkway.
Mission accomplished, no rogues required, and no ridiculous shrinking or illusion nonsense involved.

i lot of info there-- some good and some misleading. I have killed her a lot fo times for different epics and just to get the key so i can get jade reavers for my toons. also wanted the shield off the lord which tributes for 3k and looks cool in my houses.
First of all some lore: she is the daughter of Lord Rak 'Ashiir and was taken from her home when a minion of caziac thule came to visit. he spent the rest of his life in morning for her rather than tending to his kingdom which led to his loss of his wife and his counsellor and the downfall of the city.
keys: first you can get a key to the golem room off the captain of the guard. once it is on your keyring you will always have access. this is the only key that is really important until you loot the key to the elevator off her. the key to the elevator is temporary but you can put it in a house and it keeps very well.
locked doors: there are 3 locked doors -- you can get through them by casting an illusion. put your nose in the door, click the illusion to remove it, and you will enter the room.
after killing the golems, take the door to the right and go down the hall. it makes a turn and follow it. when you get close to the room at the end of the hall, there is an invisible door to the right of the hallway. step through it. it is best to have lev on. you will then go up a misty glass walkway to the first guard tower. follow the walkways and you will pass through two more towers, one has a locked door. you will come to a walkway that has a piece broken in the side and then it turns and you will find a broken area that leaves a gap. simply levitate over the gap and you will be at a door that is locked. this is her room.
be careful going in because if you go straight you will fall through an invisible floor. turn either way and go up the ramps to the platform. there may be one golem or there may spawn one after another. i find that if there is only one golem, she will usually aggro. if there are multiples -- one spawning as soon as the other is killed, she will not take part in the fight. get someone to lure the golems away because until she is killed they will sometimes continue to spawn. I lured them outside one day and continued to fight them for several hours until i got tired, my bags were full of jade reavers, and i gated out.
she seldom drops anything but the woodman's staff and the key. however, she seems to do better if someone is doing their epic. took only 3 kills for my mage to get her torch. now i am working on the shaman epic. she seems to have a spawn time of around 2 hours.

an earlier poster was under the impression that this is a reaver. that is a wrong assumption. the reavers are in the room and spawn. if you can get them away from her it is better since they seem to be her guardians. you have to kill them to talk to her but sometimes she will aggro when you do like she did on me today.

She is a she, not a he. When i came into the room i was attacked by the reavers. but then i couldn't give her the ring because she attacked and wouldn't take the ring, wouldn't respond to hails, and kept attacking even though mercs were on passive. began to wish my chanter was on another account hehe. anyhow, i now have to wait for the respawn and hope i can talk to her.

This fight was a real mess. After finally ducking and dodgeing through all the doors I get him to spawn. Well shortly after he is spawned he falls through the floor and my pet and merc go nuts. I end up with several adds. Well of course after he fell he got a complete heal off. So I end up fighting him in the water and after about a 10 minute fight with him chain C-healing he dropped the torch and I was very happy. Only had to kill him once.

For Mage 1.0 Torch, killed him 3 times with my rogue. Got it on 3rd time. 2 hour spawn time to the minute on reaver, guy spawned immediately after death of reaver.

Did this as a 65 shammie solo with a tank merc, not hard in the current climate.
One problem I did have getting to (the black reaver) Neh was getting through locked doors... I managed to levitate across the first one I encountered onto the following path.
The final room with the black reaver in is also locked. As you need the reaver, just make a shaman pet type "/target a_black"...send in the pet, get the reaver pulled to the outside (REMEMBER! set your merc to passive until he gets outside). Stomp him, Neh spawns.
I rememember reading that it'll despawn and you need to kill the enraged version or something. This isn't the case, as soon as you hand over the ring and it says "brace yourself" you can either let it buff for the sake of sportsmanship or get straight in at it!
The kill is easy, its just the hassle getting to that final area! Good luck with it :)

Of all the stupid things. There is an illusionary floor in the middle of the floating tower. I fell out of the tower and will have to get a rez, and fight my way all the way back in. When you are in the floating tower stay close to the walls.

You can use a illusion and jump through the locked tower door instead of levi across the bridges. MUCH EASIER.
Which Illusion?
Any Illusion that changes your size will get you through a locked door. You should change from smaller to larger so if you have a small body illusion then clicking it off will get you through the door.
I got the goblin illusion mask from the Christmas quests this year so I clicked it on, walked up to the door and then clicked it off and was able to walk forward through the door.

Looking for mage epic, the Torch of Elements, and I had to kill him 18 times before it finally dropped. That seems a harsh drop rate.

Solo'd him today after lev'ing around the doors... the trick here is pingtimes\framerate, if you drop too fast you need to be on a faster machine.
Trying on my old clunker PC I drop like a ton of bricks... but logged on using the wifes nice new PC(on same router) and was able to lev across just fine.
Getting him out of the room is the tricky part, I was able to do the mount dismount into the door after 2nd mount I was able to target the reaver and get him out with the pet and then back the pet off to the bridge area where its clear... it took some trying but definately doable solo as a mage.
One other thing, they Eye trick DOES NOT open doors anymore....was nerfed many moons ago by some sick dev that thought this crap wasn't hard enough already.

I conned the normal version while waiting on the shammy friend to come along, and he conned apprehensive. After she did the turn in, neither of us noticed a new version appear - typically when mobs respawn as something else there's a break in animation, a slight gap between them, or they appear in a slightly different spot. None of this was the case. It was only due to my noticing the new version conning indifferent that we were able to guess that it was the right guy. I don't know what either version conned to my shammy friend, but neither version were KoS to her.
So those who hand in the ring and wonder how long to wait for a kos version to appear: just kill the Neh` Ashiir you see before you after you hand in the ring.

Shammy spawned Neh CAN drop the mage piece, however it does not ALWAYS do so. I killed the shammy version twice for two different shammies about 2 and a half hours apart, and the first did not drop it. The second one did. It's possible the shammy version just adds the diary to the loot and otherwise is just like the regular one.

Location is 151 by 207 by 290. When you go through the door to whre the elevator is, turn right, go to the end of the corridor, turn right, go up a couple of ramps and go through the illusionary wall at the end of the corridor, continue on to the real end and turn right. Go up the glass ramp all the way and work your way along the corridor till you get to basically a floating floor. Keep going till you get to the gap before the floating tower. Easy to get across if you have a horse. Cast levitation, back off a ways and get a run at it. You will simply zoom across the gap. Get to the door on the other side of the gap (you won't be able not to) and when you actually stop, click off the horse and fall through the door. Re-spawn your horse as you will need the mana regen. There's a black Reaver at the top of the tower. Kill it and Neh'Ashiir spawns. Unfortunately my first one was actually a clicknar scout. He has a lot of mana and hitpoints. Will heal himself till you run him out of mana. The reaver will blind you but I kept casting char on it and between that and my pet it wasn't to hard. Persevere. You will win out in the end.

If ya stop looking to the left and start reading... lol... from the point of the word "Around" and stop where it says believe, u will find her. It is so simple start the journey at the trap door that is a lift up to the top...dont go up it but start from there and read and apply what he said.
Dropped Torch of Elements the 1st kill... Must have levitation at the end and a pocket rogue also 3 locked doors along the way and no one has the key... Good Luck and dont hang in the loft very long ...cough ...cause it is the wrong place.....

I'll throw my 2cp in here
I camped this for my mage.
1.) Captain of the Guard drops Stone key to get you in the castle area.
2.) Once inside castle, 2 doors on back wall, take the door on the right and turn right - follow to first door. Before that door - there is a false wall to your right - just step through and turn around to get bearings. Go up glass ramp.
3.) Clear to second area. Door is locked and here is where the fun begins without a rogue.
You have to try to levitate over to other ledge. I sink like a rock(yes i have tried everything and only weighed 80 stones) and kept hitting the ledge or sinking underneath it. So after 2 hours of trying different things(running and using mount) I got creative.
I was able to get on top of door frame by chain casting lev shield and running toward wall.
I then casted my mount and pointed it toward wall.
I then started running toward wall(not going anywhere) just getting to full gallop.
I then turned to the right and shot off like a cannon. Of course, I overshot the ledge this time - but was happy to do so, least i made it second time around.
The rest is covered well - kill chain spawning reavers until Neh spawns.
One other note without a rogue. If you can get one person over that can pull the reaver out of his room via /tar a_ and using a pet. You can run him over to locked door and the *levitation challenged* people can use range items against him across the ledge.
...oh, as for aggro when you miss the ledge 20 times. Just run back to castle and back up the glass ramp. You lose all aggro once you pass the ramp. On multiple occasions, I had like 20 mobs and a black reaver on me and not one showed up after i passed glass ramp.

The non fabled Neh dropped the fabled version of the
shield. Not sure if was rare ocassion but it happened and made my cleric happy : )

I think the real bug is that the fabled version spawns without the name displaying fabled. Just killed this mob 3 times in the past few days, max hit on a druid was 699, also proc'd or cast black symbol of agony, which the tank resisted quite a bit. Was level 60 and dropped fabled shield all 3 times. Got one torch off the 3 kills.

Got my torch on the 6th try i can confirm she will not heal if she is going to drop torch. Spawn time is once every two hours. If your lucky two reavers will be in room. If so you can spawn to neh and have a greater chance of torch.

Killed this mob 3 times today and finally got torch. All 3 times he tried to complete heal himself when low health. Healing has nothing to do with whether the torch will drop or not.
I killed her 4 times and finally got the torch to drop. I didn't get to try doing the Shaman turn in, so I just killed the Reaver, and then killed her. I noticed when she dropped the torch she didn't complete heal. She wasn't holding it or glowing, either.
I just MQ'd this torch on the Nameless for a Mag in the end of May, 2005. Did the turn in with an SK who no longer has faction with anyone :-) and it worked just fine. Actually the Mag only had the Burning Embers from BW the Blazing Wand was turned in by a Druid.
LOl funny thing is I gave up on my Mag epic because the darn Crown is a hard drop and I will not pay 100k for an MQ, But after 7 PoSky raids I got my crown haha and now need the torch again for myself. That darn Neh Ashiir is a stingy mob when you need it. 15 kills and nothing for me, 4 of the kills were shammy turn-in versions. Best of luck.

I have killed Neh Ashiir about 55 times now, no torches to be seen... If you are willing to bring a Shammy along for the ride/handin on Emarr, lemme know and we will make it worth your while...

I've killed this tramp 10 times with no torch but went with a Shammy guildy to do his turn in and Neh Ashiir dropped the torch. So maybe there's some truth to this rumour that she always drops it after a shammy turn in.

I am now a level 63 mage on MS. Last night I 2 boxed a 67 enchanter and had 1 63 cleric come with me in CoM. We killed everything up to the bridge. We opened the door to the main shaman epic guy room there with all the black reavers, and ran invis past them to the right into the hallway. The roamers are all green and light blue. We cleared up to the invisible bridge and walked through the first tower, that door was open. The second tower doors were locked [neh ash is located in the 3rd]. What I did was from the 2nd tower landing, nuked everything on the final landing and made them come to us through the locked doors. Once we had a clear path on the other side, I got on my selos drogmar, lev'ied myself, and ran full speed towards the 2nd tower door. When I got up enough height I took a right turn and hoped I'd make it to the 3rd landing. I DID! I cothed my other 2 companions and killed the remaining trash on the final landing.
*Keep in mind-my 65 necro friend and I tried this in December and had NO luck what so ever. We shrank ourselves, used our fast drogs but kept dropping short of the final landing, EVERYTHING and nothing was going to work. We couldn't get over or through the door.
Once there we killed the trash outside. When I was ready I went to the door and typed /tar a and got the reaver on my track. How did I know it was a reaver? I didn't. First you try /tar a then you try /tar neh just to see what's up. I left my pet at his door, walked back to a neutral section of the landing and sent him in. The minute I saw him take a tiny bit of damage I called him back. That brings the reaver out. Reavers can not be slowed FYI and they will blind you if you stand too close.
The reaver dies, and Neh pops on the first try. Not only did the reaver drop a jade reaver for the druid epic, Neh dropped my torch on the first try.
Maybe they fixed the zone after the recent patch? In any event, read the horror story just below this post, and expect anything when you go.

A 65 necro friend of mine camped her for 3 weekends in a row. She spawned in the 2nd tower versus the 1st in which she was in last year. I don't know if that was a bug or not. Upon further review, we had to kill the black reaver in the 2nd tower [yes another locked door big surprise there]. Finally after 20-30 kills she drops the torch.
By the way, she is supposed to be an enchanter mob but can CH herself. Again-not sure if it's a bug or not. THEN we do our turn in, he mq's it for me [at the time I was just a baby only 46] and she eats the torch. No message, no notice, no giving back of the items. [This was December of 2004 btw] So I petition. I get my 2 items back, and the torch is not replaced. The GM marks the petition as such "items returned to your inventory slot. Torch was not part of your original turn in. I will return these 2 items to you only once, and in the future I highly suggest you find out what pieces of your epic are no longer MQ'able as these items will not be returned to you if tried again".
At that point I just waited to level. Now that I'm 63 I would like to try it again myself. However I'd like to hear if anyone else has mq'd this lately. And I've epic'd 2 mages already the torch was NEVER this rare to get so I do think they nurfed the drop rate regardless of what random guide xxx tells us.

Neh'Ashiir (regular one) dropped fabled dread shield of the slayer... May be a bug, but it has happened two times... Yes, I'm sure it wasn't the fabled Neh'Ashiir...

Is this reachable by an invisible 66 mage? (Stupid question, but I did try earlier and ended up pulling quite a few mobs once I reach the entrance to second floor)
Not truly, as there are several undead mobs on the way that will see through invis. The level 61 air pet makes short work of them though...
I have been trying to finish my Mage's epic quest for 2 years realtime now... After killing Neh Ashiir 23 times now, I am thinking the woodman's staff would look like a torch if I burned it with sunstorm... Is there some thing I have to do to trigger her to spawn with the torch?

I noticed that the torch seems to drop each time when a shaman does his hand in for epic, could be simply luck. Anyways if your on AB send me a tell, I got a torch rotting in the bank and its MQ so.

I've been to CoM today and I didnt find Neh Ashiir in her usual building (9 on eqatlas map : http://www.eqatlas.com/kunark/cityofmistmap.html), but on the broken bridge between 8 and 9 on that same map.
She didn't seem to roam, so I guess it's a bug, a former wipe, or a spawn change.
*EDIT* : ok nevermind what I said, it was obviously someone who pulled the black reaver out of the building and didn't manage to kill Neh Ashiir, who stayed there where she popped.

took her down solo (65 mage) on 11/07/04. when i got to her building i put my face in the door then summoned a horse, walked foward then got rid of my horse. walked forward again and then i was able to see into the room. I zoomed out with my mouse wheel and rotated around till the view was just behind and above the black reaver then i was able to target it, then getting my view back to normal i cast malosinia on him and when he got just outside the door i sent my 65 earth pet on him. took the BR down np but as soon as it died another one spawned on top of the others corpse, so i killed that one too and again another spawned on top of the previous's corpse, then again another spawn upon killing the 3rd so by now i was a little low on mana and didn't want aggro if another popped after the 4th so i went around the back of the building. The BR died and finally my pet came back so i went around the building to the door but cautiously and low and behold Neh'Shirr was standing on top of the BR's corpse. I backed around the building and medded abit and rebuffed my pet then at 50% mana i went for it took her down np. didn't have the torch though :(

Took her out tonight. 8-31-04. Party consisted of 65 Monk, 63 Shaman, and 61 Rogue. She's a cleric enchanter hybrid. Tanashes, dispells, heals herself. She was a pain in the butt, but got the kill and my diary. Also dropped the torch, which I took to MQ for somebody. If you're on Torv, look me up if you need this MQ'ed. Fyful is the name.
I could you the MQ if you still have it, Ill have to get the other parts first tho, let me know, thanks. Name is Tunrai on Torv.

I have done this twice in last week!
I go up back way, jump across curtain, though hidden passage to ramp. I send pet up solo for all fights so I don't aggro adds. When I get to 1st locked door I levitate, stand on post rail next to building and look up as I run across to next ramp on other side of building. Before I do this I pull all mobs by blasting with a long range bolt, and earth pet roots/kills. Once I get to next locked door I put my face into door, cast eye and move it up to Reaver, target it, cast pet, Pet Guard here, send in pet. Once pet has aggro, Pet hold and wait for mob, once reaver warps send in pet. 65 earth pet doesn't even need a heal.

Added info: Dropped torch once. I waited an hour and Reaver did not respond, Neh'Ashiir was faster to kill then Reaver.

I have been farming this mob for a while now. I read all the strategies over at Mage Compendium but I decided to try something a little more adventurous.
I asked a Rogue to help get me, a Shaman, and my monk up to her room - once up there I bound both toons in her room at the bottom of the ramp.
Every two hours my monk drinks a gate potion and zones in to clear the roamers (2), the Reaver does not aggro, and when clear the Shaman gates in and it's party time.
Average reaver spawn has been 2 in a row.
My Shaman is L57 and has no problems landing slow or cripple on her. I also always nullify her buffs just as the monks steams in because she hastes and runes herself. I don't bother to Malo. Have my pet out hasted to help interrupt her cheals which sometimes works.
Most cheals I have seen are 4.
The torch seems rare, killed her 10 times in a row now and only got 1 torch - which was after my 2nd kill.

mages can open the lock door- use eye of tallon and than open the door using the eye. it works! dont need a rogue to pick locks- Am 61 mage and can solo the whole way takes an hr to fight all the way to him and than clear everything but duable. killed him 5 times and still no torch :(

im a 65 Mage on Stromm server , i solo'd way there and the Eye spells (i tried both versions) did not open the door. Ive tried various links and have spoken to others who have done epic on Stromm. General consensus is we need a rogue to get his door open. If anyone knows a method that does work or if there is a key please post.
I got tired of trying to get torch to drop so i went to the bazaar to look at prices on it. Average price was around 2k but got one for 500pp.Figured it was worth my time.

Does anyone know for certain where the neccesary keys are for this place so I can complete my MAGE epic without a rogue? I could understand this type of complication is ROGUE epic, but being that I am a mage (as most people are who do the mage epic) I'd much rather face elementals or something more fitting to my class =P

Dropped neh'ashiir tonight like he was nothing..56 bard and 62 mage duo tryin for mage epic piece..neh and black reavers are ridiculously easy and can make some very nice pp off them. Me (56 bard) and my bro (62 mage) been killin these things for a while now and have funded most of our nicer gear. I'd say neh is even easier than ghiosk who is also very easy for an epic mob. Neh hits like max 200 but even with just bard 30% slow it hardly touches the pet and does ch but between bard mez and pet procs he didn't even land one. Not really any strategy like with ghiosk just heal pet till neh at like 55% then burn em down. Cake..... any questions on my strategy email me at JNHarada@msn.com

I have a key to the throne room, I am told the key to the elevator drops of Neh'AShiir (at the top of the elevated platform.
Question: How do you get to Neh'Ashiir without a rogue as the room before hers is locked, and I haven't heard any mention of a Key to this room.
I really want to get to Neh'Ashiir for the mage epic :)

Ok this is what worked for me (65 bst). I had the key to the thrown room as well so I took a little walk up the platforms. Once I got to the top there was a door I could not open. I levitated and got on the railing post next to building so I could get the highest elevation. Then I simply walked around the building. My bro's wood elf druid couldnt make the walk without droping off for some reason so he logged his chanter. His chanter had to change to Val Shir illusion before he could. Once across we cleared the platform we then changed to wolf form(druid wolf works as well). In wolf form the chanter poked his head through the door and rotated his view so he could see(dx9 is great lol) F8 will not target but if you type " /target a_black " you can target but not cast on him. I assisted the chanter then sent my pet in then backed pet off and Reaver came right out to greet us. Neh'Ashiir spawned just after the second reaver. BTW the chanter had a lb dc pet so to avoid the blind spell we just let the pets tank it. I have done this twice now once with some other races and they had no problem leving around the building. I have no idea why the wood elf couldnt levi around and the chanter had to go to Val Shir illusion. 10 minutes later a few more had joined us and we were up the elevator shaft chain spawning reavers. We chain spawned about 100 and got 7 Jade reavers before calling it a night. What a night!!!

Be absolutely sure you're looking upward as you move. If you don't, you will sink. Assuming you're doing that, I believe there's still one thing that makes you sink as you move...

Even when you're well under your weight capacity, the amount you carry still makes you sink faster.
Two examples:
My wizard's strength is under 70, and he has to be careful what he carries to avoid getting encumbered. He's usually carrying around less than 40 weight including his tissue.. er.. armor. He floats a long way, significantly higher than other folks.
My ranger is a stout hobbit, with strength over 200, so I never worry about what he carries. Since he forages, bakes and wears chain armor, he almost always over 100 weight. This guy sinks FAST.
Obviously, being encumbered will be problem, but from what I've seen, someone with 69 out of 70 capacity will float better than 120 out of 220. If a mage is having trouble bypassing the doors, it might help to shed down to the essentials.
My wizard narrowly failed to make the run between the ramps last night, but then realized I was carrying much more than usual. I'll probably be back again tonight and I'll try banking heavy stuff first.

The biggest factors in dropping quickly while trying to use lev effects to cross a gap is lag. In addition to looking up, turn off all graphic intensive game options.
When trying to move 2 characters to the west wing in Charasis, I actually move one across on the faster of my 2 PCs, then log him out so I can use the same PC for the other character. I just can't make it across on the slower PC.

Neh DOES drop the Shammy epic, but only if a Shaman has turned in the Ring from Kirn. Otherwise the loot table will not have the Diary in it. Guess VI set it up that way so that people couldn't just camp her for MQs on it.

Ihave read here that a Rogue with 200+ Lock Pick skill can open the door.
Is this correct; or is it 201+ Lock Pick skill?

Pick Locks skill required is 200. How do I know? Because I have a 200 skill at level 46 (capped for below level 50), and I'm not using a geerlok or other pick lock enhancing item.
Lockpick skill required is 201.

I kill NEH for kicks every day. i used to solo her easy with 65 mage, but since the revamp...i have to box my cleric for heals. In a sense she is easier, then she used to be, because nukes now stick. However she now gets off about 3-4 complete heals, so in a solo situation, no matter haw fast you nuke, you gono run out of mana. With a cleric healing pet, and possibly stunning her, she is a fast kill .Besides complete heals, she likes to try to root, charm, dispell, and tash. i allways have my mr at 220 plus, so nothing sticks. Since the revamp the torch seems to drop one in three to four kills.
She doesnt seem to drop the ornate shield that much if at all, instead now she drops the wisdom caster shield, thats no drop. Of course, the ranger 2 hander and the no rent key to torsis still drops <elevator key>. If on the tribunal, and you need the torch, send me a tell, i have about 4-5 of them in the bank.... they are not lore.....and are MQ able .

Im not disputing what you say, but i wanna know how a chanter can get 3 or 4 Complete heals off. Neh Ashir is a chanter isn't she, correct me if im wrong. I definatly could be.

she's a chanter but was also given cheal. guess SoE didn't like her farmed so easily any more.

Brother Quinn in S. Karana summons and he's a Monk. So of course Enchanter NPC's would get CH. Heck, I saw where they are giving Warriors pets and Mages are getting the 2-hand slash ability. Not to mention what I read about Rogues being able to group teleport. It's part of the new class balance thing they are doing. Equality for All !!!!!!!

Killed Neh Ashiir Saturday Aug. 9 looking for torch. I wanted to post (from personal experience) that torch was NOT visible, but was definitely on the corpse. There seems to be a lot of different stories about this, so take this as one more person who says torch is not always visible, but she might have it anyway. By the way, killed her five times (not in a row, on different days over two weeks) and she only dropped the torch the once.
Yeah, got my Torch yesterday on the fourth kill. No sign of it on the mob when we fought them, but it was on the corpse.
Interestingly other people say the shield dropped every time, but it never dropped for us in those four kills.

man, i shouldn't even look at these posts...just makes me more irritated that people get the torch on their first kill!! i have been in CoM for 7-8 kills and STILL no torch off Neh'Ashiir !! very frustrating for this mage. i usually grab a guild cleric, low 50s or whatnot, and a rogue for picking, at 65 i can single pull anything and pet can tank no prob. Neh'Ashiir no longer drops the ornate rune shield, another named spawn does now, but she drops some leggings instead i think. anyhow i better get it next kill or i might pull my hair out
You won't like this: My guild raided CoM on 10/08/03. We got up to Neh'Ashiir and killed her - 4 people fell through fake floor. We go the Torch on the 1st try! Sweet!
We had a raid of 2 full groups, lvls 45-56 and 1 lvl 65 cleric to heal them all. The worst part was the blindness spells cast by the black reavers, otherwise the fights went very well.

Instead of clearing the way up to the floating house I (59 rogue) simply sneak/hided my way up to him and pulled him down to the building door where my group was waiting. We got about 3 or 4 adds but with a chanter it was no problem. Having some form of lev or another may be required or it may get a little....messy from the fall.
