Giz X`Tin  

I have seen Giz re-spawn before I could kill the Reaver which in a previous life he had summoned, which
leads me to believe his spawn times are random. The next time I had to kill him because of other mistakes
it took hours for him to spawn.

Confirmed he does spawn in the area of +1000, +1500 in Kithicor. He popped bright and early at about 8:00 am game time. He walked back and forth on almost the same track heading SEish, then back NWish over and over again.

Level 52 druid rooted, snared, dotted, and starfired the Tier'Dal Reaver which spawned just after giving him the ring. I guesstimate the reaver has about 2500 HP. It took 4 rounds of dots (4 going at once) and 3 starfire casts to bring him down. He broke root 2 or 3 times.

Could have easily outrun him with SoW but I find it hard to back down from a good fight ;)

ok not sure bout anyone else but i took my lv 46 ranger there an tracked him an it was 9am game time, funny thing he was roaming the zone so like faelin i chased him down handed him the ring an poof i got smacked once an ran like hell to wc btw thanks for the info on that he hit me for 96 damage once an i out ran him an didnt kill anything or anybody guess after campin faelin for 8 hrs this was my lucky break hope this helps somehow good luck to all

ok i just did the the turn in jan 23 2005 .. it was about 11am.. game time when he popped i caught him at this loc +760 + 1260... good luck

Didn't see him the first time along the path, I zoned out to WC to med and when I zoned back in at 11pm game time he was there. Picked up about 5 undead on my trail and had to zone back out. Next time I went back in using sneak, handed him the ring and got the coin then beat it for the zone line again. Didnt wait around long enough to even see what the reaver looked like lol.

I sat for hours waiting for this guy to spawn. I was getting very frustrated. Finally I started killing the green mobs just to see if that would help....

He spawned within seconds.

ok people he is on a spawn timer around 2 - 3 hours did this 2 times quiet sure if you wait 3 hour you are almost guaranteed to find him. also more then one person can turn in ring if you are fast enough he despawns like 1 min after the first person give him the ring so even if some one person beats you to him to have like 1 min to give it to him so theres the scoop.

Since I came here for info and caught yet another "no the mob is really THIS level" umm... debate, yeah, that's the word for it...

Since Temp now causes people of lower levels to con red to those without a comparable buff, haven't we learned that con color has really not a whole lot to do with level?

I'm willing to bet that, within a certain near-level range, a Ranger who has been focusing on STR and AC gear and a Druid who has been focusing on WIS and resist gear would get different -color- cons, but that doesn't really give a solid indication of level. HP, ATK, other elements besides level being equated into con colors/messages would explain undercons and the odd greenie that still takes ten minutes to kill.

If I'm wrong, please do feel free to correct me, since I'm a little puzzled how temp can make a buffed level 46 con red to my unbuffed level 51. If I'm right, can we stop with this nonsense? I'm getting tired of seeing shouting matches under 17 different topics except the one the thread is supposed to be about whenever I come looking for Druid or Ranger info.

Just to confirm the other posts, he seems to spawn around 7am game time, somewhere near Morin's Cabin. Good Luck PPL.

Druid Level 46 - Getaphix - Enchanted Dreams

Some A$$hat killed him right when I zoned in to do the ring turn in. Been waiting for almost a day (checking on and off) to see if he is up. Is there a re-spawn time after he get's wasted?

Entered the zone, ran around to see if he was up. Didn't see him on track so I waited by the WC zoneline. Around 2-3am at night he showed up on track, ran out there in wolf form. Found him in the middle-north section. Various undead around. Handed ring and turned back to WC and ran, Reever following but unfortunately an undead trooper hit me with a snare, and an undead cleric landed a 311 DD spell. Reever caught up and I figured I was dead, hit my Misty Thicket port I had left up and got lucky and ported out before becoming worm food.

Went in at between 7 and 8 am game time and he was spawned. Druid and I are both doing our Epics and both have to do turn ins to him. Reaver on 2 hits in on me before we ran. I expect him to respawn some time after 7am again.

I can confirm that killing the greenies will get him to pop. I just did it, killed greenies during the day for maybe 10 minutes and there he was.

I found him walking in a looped path in the north-western part of the zone (a bit south of the burned-out house where the book for the Cleric Icon of the Reliant spawns) -- this was during daytime. He did not despawn when I handed Faelin's ring in but walked on, and the Tier'Dal Reaver came after me.

You do not kill him, you turn in the ring and flee like a ranger. He will accept the ring as long as you are dubious. He could be level 100 and it won't make any difference.

I run through Kith all the time and is always on track.

I was able to make Giz X'Tin spawn around 7am game time. I had been sitting in the north of the zone for 2 hours waiting. I got bored and started to kill wolves. Within minutes, he spawned. I was in Wolf Form and he conned indifferent to me. He also conned even to me at 50. He is a LVL 50 MOB! The second I gave him Faelin's Ring, the Dark Elf Reaver spawned and began to beat on me. I ran off and made my way back to Burning Woods for the next steps of the Ranger Epic. I hope this helps.

At 54th I've FINALLY got around to starting my Druid Epic (yeah-yeah I know, a bit old to be starting it) but because of that I tried something a bit different with the Reaver. I ran just far enough to snare, then killed him heh. The first thing I noticed is Giz did NOT despawn. He was up during the entire fight and was still up after. I've not seen any messages actually saying he despawns, but quite a few hint at it. Perhaps both he and the Reaver do despawn if whomever turned in the ring zones, or perhaps Giz simply did despawn before, but a patch has since changed that.

When I entered Kith, Giz was not up and I had to wait about 2 and a half hours before he did spawn, so sorry no new info on his spawn rate. Going by suggestions on other posts I went into wolf form and spent the time ducking undead at night, killing an occasional one, and generally going on a bixie slaughterfest during the day (they just don't have the sense to leave a medding druid be-oh well, the half-pint guards should love me now). He did spawn near 1050 800 as mentioned earlier by... ummm... Anon(man that guy/gal posts here a lot :P) and started wandering. Ring out, in the trade window, one finger over 'Trade', another finger over RUN, both hit at the same time, WHACK, WHACK!!! As mentioned before if you don't get hit it's not because you're cleaver or quick, it's because you've just received all the good luck since this quest started and his only two misses to date just whizzed past your ears. Being at full mana, I thought I'd try him. Heh I could always zone if need be. He did resist my first ensnare, but the second landed and a later 'refresh' landed fine. I started with Winged Death (and only cast 2 total), Breath of Ro (only cast 1 total), and then switched to Drifting Death to conserve mana (total of 7 during the fight). Add in 13 hits of 16 casts of Engulfing roots, do the math and this guy has about 10k hp. Yeah, yeah I know, 'what about my clickable dot armor?', well, I don't have any yet :P so if you do he'd be much easier for you. A few notes on the reaver; all my resists on my roots came back to back to back (all my bad luck in on clump). All others landed so I don't think he resists often. Nine of those roots didn't last long, one lasted close to a minute and the other three actually allowed me to get at least two back to back dots on him. He did not resist a single dot. The reaver went down and gave decent experience (although not great considering how long it took), but gave no faction hits and dropped absolutely nothing including coin. What suprised me was during the entire fight Giz was still wandering around and was still there afterward. After finishing the reaver I even tracked him and he still conned indiff to me in wolf form. What this tells me is multiple Druids and Rangers could do this part at the same time with a hunting party for the reaver. I don't know if it's possible to turn in a second ring while the reaver is chasing someone else, but I'd be hesitant to try that. Best of luck and good hunting my fellow tree huggers!

Once you give Gix the ring the reaver spawns and imediately wacks you. It goes like this:

Da-duh da-dada da-daaa! WACK! (quest music then the hit)

The reaver cannot keep up with sow not like those stupid ry'gorr orcs in WL.

You should read all the other posts before posting people! At least 14 posts were about how Giz was a higher level than 40, so you don't have to ask any more, especially since the answers were already said that he's Level 50!!!

i was doing part of my epic last weekend and this guy conned yellow at 49, so hes most likely 50. tal `dreaver or whats the name of the second def who spawned was yellow too, but hit for 100 most times and had pretty nasty attack speed so watch out [i was lucky he missed backstab] i was able to zone with what i came for, but reaver stayed at zone with commons, then i heard few /shout ppl [almost] died when they zoned in kith, so im sorry;]

Red to 47 but yellow to 48, he must be 50-51.
