Took my 82 monk and 49 bard to camp this guy for bard epic.
When I arrived, I got a room full of bodyguards.
20 mins later, another room full of bodyguards.
Next cycle was 3 bodyguards and 1 warlord(no skull).
Next cycle was 3 bodyguards and 1 warlord(dropped skull).

Saw 3 of these spawn in the same round yesterday (while camping the accursed drolvarg pawbuster for the monk epic). All 3 of them dropped the supple scale armband, none of them dropped the head, that time.

If you're camping this mob then be warned that he is fabled right now. That was a bit of a surprise for my 66 mage lol.
Fortunately he's not very hard. I was camping him with my mage for my bard's epic, and he popped as a fabled version. I was on another screen with my bard so I just hit pet attack before I noticed that he was red. As soon as I realized, I took my mage's cleric merc out of passive and put her in reactive, then I started trying to burn him down with the mage.
I almost took him, but the cleric was about to go oom when the warlord was at 20%, so I gated.
I ran back with the 66 bard and his tank merc and took him no problem. Max hit on the tank merc was 1162. Max hit on the bard on the pull was 1050ish.
I didn't parse his hp, but the mage's 3-4k nukes were only moving his health 2% or so. I would guess he's not more than 150k-200k (if that).
Edit: The fabled version DID drop the skull for the bard epic. He also dropped the fabled supple scale armband (or whatever its name is...something like that). The stats on it were not as good as elaborate defiant gear, but it did have burning affliction 5.

I came to camp pawbuster for roommates monk. Two warlords were up when I got there, one dropped boots and skull other dropped supple scale armband.

yep he summons.
LB to a lvl 65, easily taken down as a monk.
The trick to clearing this room solo is to leave a few minutes between each kill when you first get there so they spawn one at a time.
Easy peasy.
Now if I could just get the pawduster to spawn and drop my pipe i'd be happy =P

Every time Iäve killed him so far today, he's dropped the Supple Scale armband....if he was light blue to lvl 70. One of the light blue ones dropped Donal's boots. (out of 4 LB so far)

Negative on the DB warlord pattern. Two LB Warlords after I posted and skull dropped.. so no luck on a pattern, but I got 8 Warlords in about 3.5 hours 3 at once.

Just to let you know, this moron summons...
Was last night in Karnor, by myslef, clear the jails, went downstairs, ok, Warlord up... Pacified him, the bodyguard next to him, and pull the only other one i saw. to get to this room you have to pass the halway with three jail cells on either side, then go down the staircase.

my petrified skull finally dropped, my 3rd warlord in about 3.5-4 hrs and it dropped. all i need is an Amygdalan Tendril and im done with epic. If you want to MQ it for me /tell my toons and well try to work something out, Luclin server.

Ok errbody this is how this camp goes. I used the thread actually listed below to get here.** Straight back past second moat, into LC (left courtyard) then up the curved stairs take a right all the way down the t junction.....trust me find a hall way after that with (looks like barracks) keep going and down the stairs to the left and BAM theres the warlord room. Im camping this guy as i type this so.. killed him THIRTEEEN SPAWNS ALREADY. 1 warlord MAX a pop so far. got two skulls.. besides the SSA every time its the second most common drop..... BLECK....
Kk so Spawn timer is EXACTLY 26 minutes and 30 seconds......trust me been here about 8 hours already so i got this down pat son =P.
Havent seen ANY other loot other than the fact of the skull for bard epic and the ssa.

Got this tonight with the help of 4 guildies all over lvl 60. Skull dropped on 2nd kill of the warlord. Now only 7 more items to go.

camped him for my bard today I am a lvl 70 wiz.I am only dubious to the mobs so just soloing in the room is no prob.killed warlord 3 times so far and no skull.

When i came there, he was up twice. easy to single pull him by lulling the others in the room.
i didnt bother pulling to zone, just killed him on the steps just outside the room. no adds.
at 20% health he turned to run. didnt have snare up, so i mezzed, then memmed snare.
first kill dropped my skull, so i left the other copy of him for the next bard to kill.

Not to doubt all previous postings, but experience as of Sept 18/2k4 (post OoW) is as follows:
6 rounds of spawns, 2 warlords seen out of the 24 mobs total, 2 ssa's drop'd period. He's more of a rare spawn than I'd have liked. When he did spawn, it was only ever in the spot in the alcove furthest from the door to his room. Justa few words of discouragement to any bards, like myself, who are trying to finish epic 1.0 for updating to 2.0...

None of the other directions listed led me to the infamous Drolvarg Warrior room. Maybe I just can't read :P. Fortunately I had access to track at the time.
The /loc of the center of the Drolvarg Warlord room is [+70, -610, +20]... the third coordinate being significant because this room is not on top or bottom of the castle, but about 2/3 the way up it -- and you can only access it from up top.
The path to it is riddled with see invis mobs, so expect to fight to it.
Verbally describing how to get there, and my apologies for confusion I cause...
* enter the castle visible from the zone in and go all the way back across the 2nd moat to the wall behind it
* enter the left (north) room and go up the curving stiarcase in this room
* once up top go north a bit until you hit the edge of the castle ramparts
* then turn right (east) and go all the way down
* the path will become a hallway with a roof and then force you to turn right (south)
* you'll quickly hit a T intersection, turn left (east)
* then following the hall you'll very quickly be forced right (south) again
* stop there...
... Now, on your right is a hallway of doors. They are a sort of guard barracks -- one drolvarg per room. Past them are stairs that descend to the door of the Drolvarg Warrior room.
Here is other helpful info bundled up for you in one place...
There are four PH's in the room... and each on will be "A drolvarg bodyguard", "A Drolvarg warlord", or very rarely I saw "a drolvarg pawbuster" there. Even at level 65 pulling one means all four PHs will come, and if your toon is stout this is not a problem.
The warlords have many more hp than the bodyguards, and summon. Each time I killed a Drolvarg Warlord there was a Supple Scale Armband drop, and judging by other posts it's either a common drop or guaranteed to be there each kill. Sadly, it was usually his only drop.
The repop for the room is around 20 minutes. Good luck in your farming efforts.

I cleared that room listed here for hours but no pop.. then logged on today and he poped in totally different place... near VSR place its downstairs near some jail cells... you past the jail cells downstairs he spawned there along with I think 4 guards... killed him with SK and a Shammy.. was real easy with 4 adds noone went down below 98% HP =D

Camped this guy hoping for the sword to drop for my SK alt with no luck. Thought I would share my knowledge on this spawn. I am a 65 Beastlord.
Four Drovargs spawn in this room, 2 on the north wall and 2 along the west wall in a recessed alcove, to your left among entering through door. Either Guardians or Warlords can spawn in any spot. Each cycle takes about 30 minutes and spawned anywhere from 1-3 Warlords at a time during the time I was here. (No Warlords can be up during any given spawn also) I stayed for 5 cycles and killed 8 Warlords. They dropped the armband 7 times, the Bard epic 4 times and the Boots once.
The Guardians, which could be LB or DB had anywhere from about 7000-8500 hps. The Warlords had about 9000 hps, give or take 500. The Warlords do summon but once slowed these mobs are cake. I had no trouble breaking spawn and holding room. No roamers enter area. I did not have any resists either on anything I cast. I fought inside the room the entire time. I have a good amount of defensive AA's and I don't think I got hit for more than 135 or so on the rare occasion they connected. Sorry I don't have more info on their damage output.

got this guy to spawn 3 times in 2 clearings of the room... zoned in and killed 1, on re-pops we got 2. All 3 times a skull dropped, which was luck, as when i camped it for my epic it took many kills.
It see's invis, and summons, is charmable by a 65 bard, etc.

After Five kills, the Warlord Dropped the Supple Scale Armband every time....and none of the other items on his drop table.
Looks like we'll be headed back tonight.

For all the people that are tired of hearing how people gave it in the romp to the drolvarg warlord with their mid lvl 50s groups or solo capabilities, here is some beneficial info.
Drolvarg warlord has approx 5k 6k Hp, and hits max for 149.
Drolvarg Guardians have max 4 or 5k hp and hit a max for 139. Drolvarg warlord can spawn in a single cycle more than once. For the record, i killed him from start to finish at the camp, 3 times in 35 minutes, so whoever says he cant spawn more than once, has an object in their bootox. and for any of the bards, such as my alt, who wants to know how rare the skull is....Flip a coin when the warlord is up, and thats pretty much your chances. Out of the 3 times he spawned, only dropped the skull once. Dropped the harmonic dagger with the skull as well.
The only thing difficult with this camp, like most other camps, is breaking it.

My Mid 50's Druid harmonied the room and pulled him single several times. Armband did not drop commonly..sigh.

This "used" to be a mid 40's camp for pickup groups. Once you were done in dreadlands, you moved inside KC. KC has LC, RC, LCY, RCY, DT, ST, Basement, and Warlord camps (VS room used to be a camp as well).
Don't know why people still camp this for xp. LDoN is better XP and loot, LoY, Velious, and Luclin have better XP and loot as well. Only real purpose for karnors anymore is to camp VP key and to camp bard epic piece, and only need to kill warlord a couple of times for epic piece.

Before you go off doubting why people do what they do, perhaps you should get your own facts all in order.
First off, this "used" to be an experience camp for mid 50's characters. Karnor's Castle is Kunark, the 1st expansion onto the original game. It did not become a 40's camp until LONG after it's release (far into Velious when people started getting better gear).
You also forgot to mention that monk epic runs through KC as well, this exact room specifically with Pawbuster.
Not everyone in the game has all the expansions. I have run across several people that only have 1 or 2 expansions. I have even come across some that only have the original game that got it when it came out and never purchased any of the expansions. So if they do not have the options of LDoN etc, they go where they can. Also, although I will agree, KC exp isn't very good and the loot isn't very good, it is generally abandoned nowadays and makes for a very relaxing place to PL, duo etc without having to hassle with several other people pulling around you, training etc. Hence why BoT is labeled KC version 2.... all the idiots who used to train in KC have leveled and still do the same thing just in a higher zone.
To summarize.. Don't knock why people do things, for they are the ones with the reasons to do those things, and wether you agree with them, that is their choice to do by paying the monthly fee.

First off, this "used" to be an experience camp for mid 50's characters. Karnor's Castle is Kunark, the 1st expansion onto the original game. It did not become a 40's camp until LONG after it's release (far into Velious when people started getting better gear).
You also forgot to mention that monk epic runs through KC as well, this exact room specifically with Pawbuster.
Not everyone in the game has all the expansions. I have run across several people that only have 1 or 2 expansions. I have even come across some that only have the original game that got it when it came out and never purchased any of the expansions. So if they do not have the options of LDoN etc, they go where they can. Druid epic also has a drop in KC, off VS or his shade. So thats 3 epics and a few very decent focus drops, especially on progression servers.

Rhykar you shoulda added, that only morons think LDoN exp is great. Any level appropriate camp for any exp group will net you twice the xp as an LDoN adventure. I don't complain all that much because it guarantees that there will be less stupid level 65's running around EQ, they will all be busy grinding forever in LDoNs.

Could a 56 shaman/ 56 mage Duo this guy? We duo yard trash in PoD/PoI/PoN with no trouble and was wondering how this mob was compared to them in HP/max hit ect.

You could definitely duo him with that combo. The tricky part won't be killing the warlord though, it will be breaking the spawn. All 4 mobs will come if you aggro any of them and even with 4 BGs, it's an interesting time. If your mage is ok burning through a couple pets during the break and the shaman has some talent with basic slow/root CC though, you could probably do it. Maybe have your running shoes on though ;)

Room is to the left at the T and up the stairs, around the corner to the right then another right and down the hall on your left I believe. Tons of undead there so invis won't work. I have tried lulling my way there solo at 59 tons without success due to wandering ghosts that suprisingly hit hard, hehe. I'm going there tonight at 60 with my 39 cleric bot and a 55 necro buddy. Hope to get my skull.

Seems like it yes... We killed him about 10 times last night and every time the armband was up. Every single time armband dropped, shaman and one druid got it, 6 went to people in zone we helped to the room and last 2 rotted =(. Warlord seemed to pop almost every single spawn cycle (4 spots) and twice he popped twice in the cycle. Spend an hour there and your bound to get one, if not everyone in your group that wants getting it. Spend enough time and know how to get to WL room without a train and you can probably get one without even getting in the camp.

Solo'd to his room and the bodyguards in his room today. Not much of a problem single pulling at 60, though one bodyguard did add on a pull. Warlord spawned in the far right corner on the second round of respawns. Didn't get summoned (I tank anyways), wasn't much harder than his bodyguards tho did agro when i was killing a bodyguard. Dropped the supple scale armband which i came for and also a petrified werewolf skull that rotted. Took me 45 minutes to get my extended range 3 item so not too bad.

Hello. Pulled this guy after pawbuster, and he was even to me, 52. 100% positive. Not saying he isn't higher, but he does go down to 52. Did the correction thing as well.

Btw everyone he dont always drop the skull me and a 60 bard friend got a grp and killed 2 that had popped 1 dropped skull other did not drop the skull =/

hmm he conned dark blue to me on lvl 53 so must be able to go lower than 53 fairly easy kill pulled him and Skelly warlord around 5 times in 3hrs as well as a Captain and Knight of Sathir

hi im a 44 warrior and was looking at this zone a bit and it really seems like a fun and interesting zone with a lot of good drops that i would be happy to have hehe. and i was wopndering how come i never hear anyone talk about this zone as if it wasnt a good place to go or somfin? so i would like to get a bit of info on the zone like could i fit in here? would i be getting any of the good drops and what r the risks or is there a better place to go mostly for loot is what im after? plz respond

44 lil low for this zone, esp. for a warrior. on my server it's very hard to get a grp in KC under 50 unless u have a freind, or ur a cleric/chanter. And as far as drops go, the good stuff is rare and you have to go deep in. Also one reason ppl don't talk much aboyut this zone is that is has massive trains. like BIG. i've seen some trains take out 20ppl before, it's so funny cuz they run out one side then come in the other thinking their like smart so a train could stay in the same place for 20 minutes LMAO.

You are right about trains wiping out tons of peps. The reason people go out one side and back in the other is not cause they think they are smart though. There has been a rule made, at least on my server- Train left. Thus, the right is always free for peps just entering or needing to go afk. Of course, there are incidents where some idiot is to far inside, or casts on someone to far inside, but it usually works well.

prolly not, epic mage pet doesn't have the hp to tank this guy I think... not sure though. just to be safe, when your pet is about to die, have another one ready

I am not Realy familiar with how mages summon their epic pet.....but if you can Chain summon them like the Normal pets, an epic Mage might be able to take him after 10 or so pets 8)

Well, you COULD. you have to have some prep first. a) room broken. this is a MUST. b) id advise you have epic pet out, orb out with charge still on it, and an orb on an old corpse nearby so you can loot it if you're desperate

first time, monks FD failed. got slaughtered immediatly.
second time he pulled 2 warlords and paw. we died.

I was inside KC one day and the DW had been trained to the zone. Everyone had zoned, and I had just logged on. I turned and looked at the warlord and noticed that he was low on health and beyond the zone point into DL. He summoned me to him placing me behind the zone line, but still in KC. I tried to run, but I was disoriented and ran toward where there should be a hole in the castle leading out into DL, but it walled off! He kept me stunned and I died. I respawned and could see me body behind the zone line but unable to loot my corpse, because to move toward my corpse would cause me to zone out. I got a cleric to resurrect me from a distance (luckily) and I was TL'd into the 'Twilight Zone' between KC and DL where the hole in the castle is walled off. As I ran back toward the KC area, it caused me to zone out to DL.

the other day i was fighting him in a level 50-55 grp and he summoned me to him, next thing i know, im at an odd place somewhere completely different and our 55 monk is telling everyone not to leave the room, warlord was right behind me. i died due to the fact that i was too far away for the cleric to heal me
when i zoned back in, i saw my body right at the zone, along with the monks, as he tried to get aggro off me
any ideas on why i was sent to the zone?

If you die and your corpse end up somewhat in the wall, then the server might consider your corpse as being "off limit" and move it to a safespot, which in KC is the DL zoneline.

Hey guy who posted drolvargs are gnolls, they are not gnolls.
Venril Sathir drops a Lycanthropic staff(or one of his drolvarg minions) A Lycanthrope is a werewolve, This would also explain their howling and how werewolves are associated with vampires(venril sathir)

Lycanthrope are Were types... Not nescisary wolves. A were dog (gnoll) is also considered a Lycanthrope.

Fought him during someone's train. He was half dead already when someone zoned and I stepped in with my 52 Mage. I put pet on him and nuked away. He summoned me 4 times during the fight, so be careful. Just run away from him as soon as you get summoned, let pet tie him up again. Was pretty much oom and pet beat to hell just to kill him, and he started at half life ).

The Drolvarg Warlord is also known to drop a "Petrified skull of a lycanthrope"...or at least that is what I have been told. This is used in the bard epic quest. If you see one be sure to give the bards in the zone a hollar to see if they could use it before you pick this nodrop item up and waste it. Thanks a lot. =)

The quest giver says that it is called the perrified skull of a lycanthrope but it is really called a petrified werewolf skull.

Quite rare to see this item drop, but if you're looking for this item, just do a camp check as you zone into Karnor's and do a camp check for hand/warlord. Whoever claims the cap, send them a tell asking nicely to loot a skull if it drops. That how I got mine, and you can find a group and do some leveling while you wait also.
