Ixiblit Fer is very Easy to kill we took him out with 48cleric,51cleric 48 Bard 50 monk 47 Rogue 65 Warrior 65 Sk 51paladin,50wizard 62 shaman I slapped this raid together within minutes and was very easy so if ur a cleric just ask some people if they can help or pay them if thats what they want its very easy we had one death the monk died from noone had time to heal intime.
After reading this post I have but one question--how in the hell did a 50 monk get aggro over a 65 warrior and 65 sk?? Anyway, like you said hes easy once you get him slowed. Killed him tonight with a fellow guild and my malosini bounced but Turgur's Insects stuck first cast. I pushed my luck and crippled Ixiblat too, and then I got summoned. I had 1000AC so instead of getting doubled for 575 I got hit for 180 and 460. We had no deaths in the raid and Id guess the 25 or so people took him down in under a minute.
I have done 5 Ixiblat raids and I have never seen him drop a spell. I was wishing for torpor or malo to drop after a disappointing session in SF against a guardian wurm.
We did this guy for my friends cleric a couple days back with 4. 3 of which i was botting. Hes not very difficult at all. I pulled with my druid then snared rooted slowed debuff all that junk then zoned. came back in and started owning him with the warrior. Didn't even need to go defensive really. Oh yea, 65 warrior, 65 cleric, 65 druid, 58 shaman.
we did him 3 times tongiht.. for those of you with younger/smaller guilds.. here is what we did it with:
55 Warrior (me) 54 cleric 53 cleric 52 cleric
20 other people for DPS, average raid level was 53
55 warrior with 1100 ac and 4800 hp buffed (not abscene gear) and defensive disc. average hit was around 180 to 250 once I disced, with a top hit of 350, and those were rare. We never got him slowed and we killed him 3 times, only lost once, becasue a cleric fizzeled on a cheal and did not notice. basic attack plan.. monk pulls and FD's. I tag off monk with arrow, back up a bit, then spin mob to get Raid out of AOE. clerics start Cheals when I stop runing at them. Clerics MUST Divine Aura on first Cheal. after that it's just build agro for about 20 seconds, and call the attack.. Simple
Clerics MUST Divine Aura on first Cheal. after that it's just build agro for about 20 seconds, and call the attack..
or get an sk to be tank, and clerics wont need to da, and you dont need to waste time building agro.

Tried this guy once 6boxing my group. Got him to 30 pct, was a LOT easier than I thought. A couple things to note: His MR is really low, my ench (52 at the time) landed slow with maybe a resist or two, after tash and no malo. 2nd attempt I pulled with SK snare, and it stuck the first time without tash. I proceeded to pull him to the zone wall and the server crashed... came back and he wasn't up =(. I didn't use my quest pieces to spawn him though, he was just up, probably from someone's wipe.
alot of rumors have been goign around my server that ixiblat doesnt drop cof anymore. killed him last night and looted one so he does. (just incase anyone was doubting)
These are all taken from my parse of a recent fight with ixi. MT was a 60 warrior. also, /hug khaann! parsed with yalp. Ixi went down SO fast that it may not be entirely accurate DPS wise.
HPs: 15066 max hit : 575 min hit : 215 average hit : 325 max crush (sceptre offhanded I think) :226 min crush : 136 avg crush : 166 bash : 127 total DPS : 94.76
I guess you didnt parse dots, or DD's? We killed Ixiblat tonight and I parsed him to have ~18khp (I did NOT parse the Necs DoTs or lifetaps) That's what I got, how ever I began logging too late.... maybe at 90% hp. We were 6 peoples, 65SK, 64cleric, 60bard, 65nec, 62shm, 63war. I played SK and cleric. First we didnt have any shaman and decided to try without, got him to 50% hp, could had killed him imho cuz my cleric had 65% mana left and the SK kept aggro really good.
When killing ixiblat with bard slow make sure that u start healing early becourse Slow tends to get resisted and then MT's hp will drop fast. My SK had 7.6k hp, without slow I started CH'ing at 80%. Dont worry about running oom, this mob will die fast, just spam CH (if needed). With slow I healed 1 time fighting ixiblat, he did a total of 10k dmg.
Took him down today (19 May 03) with 65 war/enc/cleric/shamy/rog, 57 ranger and a 56 cleric. I was playing the shamy and ranger, Malos/slow, trueshoot dis, and he was dead before dis wore out. Had one CH on war, that was it. I can think back to when he took a full raid force to take out.
The way we did it was have 56 cleric bind at spawn point go and turn in and kill him at his spwan point. Good luck, hope this helps.
This was the easiest epic fight I've ever participated in. We had 30 people on the raid (average level 61). We had about 8 clerics there (we joked that someone had purchased a few too many clerics at the Supermarket). The MT was a 65 warrior, and the ST was another 65 warrior. It was major overkill.
We killed Ixiblat in 19 seconds.
The only annoying part was waiting 15 minutes for Naxot Deepwater to spawn. When she did, I turned in the Shell, gated back to the raid area, and left a ranger to kite Ixiblat back to the raid. From there we engaged, and killed Ixiblat before I even had time to take a screenshot.
He dropped the Sceper (as usual) and the Belt of fire. Nobody wanted it so I looted it and destroyed it (Im a cleric).
After that viscious slaughter, we all ported over to Iceclad and helped some Mage finish his 8th shawl quest. That was stupidly easy.
I logged on one night and as soon as I did guildies were like Get to BW we need your help with epic mob. I had never even heard of this guy so had no clue how easy / difficult he was supposed to be. We had myself which I was 61 at the time a 60 cleric 60 shaman 62 necro 55 SK 56 Pal 52 ranger / dru and maybe one or two more low 50's tops. They had attempted him once and got wiped and were getting ready to start again when I arrived. Buffed up and pulled. I OOS'd the whole fight while twisting haste chorus and the elemental chorus for obvious reasons. Fight was maybe 1 or 2 min long if i remember..its beena while..and we had no deaths. The OOC helped ALOT from what the guild said. And as I said I ha dno clue how hard this guy was supposed to be until a few other guilds commented on it and told us we did a damn good job. I still dont know if that is true but if we did with basically one grp what took some 3 grps then yeah...we did a damn good job lol
Dropped the epic piece and Mantle of fire. No one needed so I brought my monk over. and looted it. Nice twink.
Took him down twice yesterday, 3 groups, average lvl 54. Main tanks a 62 SK and a 57 War. Took him at his spawn point both times. A 60 bard kited and did OOS, while a 63 shaman first malosid and then slowed him. Then it was cake.
Second time, shaman got aggro and died after malosi, but I(58 chanter), using Beguiling Visage was able to tash and slow/cripple without getting killed.
we also took him down today with almost the same group, a 63 SK MA and a 61 war SA i was the sole shammy there. average lvl was 54.
we pulled him all the way to the skyfire zone and fought him there. I let MA get aggro a bit then jus as assist was called cast slow (59 shammy) it stuck first try, then crippled, it stuck, then epic dot, it stuck also, i then went and had a seat and watched the fray lol. My task was done.
I didnt get hit once, and am not sure if our chanter tashed him or not. We had no deaths.
He's been up for the last couple days. His spawn point is right by my favorite camping spot in BW... I wish he would despawn or some Cleric and his/her group(s) would come kill him. He makes me very nervous as he could rip me a new one VERY quickly.
Just for my own edification, how large is his aggro radius?
Just posting an experience for loot commonality reasons... Dropped him 6 times yesterday, along with the scepter he always had one other item, and one merchant fodder item. Loots were (if memory serves) 1 Gloves of Fire, 2 Circlets of Fire, 2 Belts of Fire and 1 Mantle of Fire. Trash loot was high lvl research components and one jewelry piece. Spells and cloak must be rare drops. Hope this helps some (I know the only important thing on him is the Scepter =)
I'm just curious but I read that naxot takes like 24 hours to respawn. So how the hell did you kill him 6 times? I know that maybe the respawn time is random. But in 6 trips back to him you would think another 24 hour spawner would happen. Just curious.
Took my warr on Fer kill when he was Lvl 42. We had about 4 full grps and not one person died. I even pulled aggro off MA couple times and the thing only took me down a bub of health. I do suggest you get as many of your casters to bind at SF zone line just in case something goes wrong though so you can get everyone rezzed and buffed up again quickly.
can a 65 warrior with 189 aa points with SOD(scepter of destruction) and BOC (blade of carnage) with 4 Vex Thal loots and some other bad as* equip with roughly 9300hps with a 65 chanter and 64 cleric with a 63 druid and a 65 wizzard all toons decked out take this guy out with just this one group.

i went with my guild on vallon zek a few nights ago and we took down ixi with little trouble...i believe we had about 20 people, highest being a 61 wizzy, rest being 54-60...only person who died was MT cause he ran out of range of CHers ;/ pretty easy fight over all. anyone who doesnt know, watch out for his AE, hit everything in front of him, so make sure MT is facing the group and ixi is facing away =)

Posted:Nov 06 2002 at 9:55 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok I just did one of these raids last night we have ooh 23 people needless to say most of us died on the first try. . .but we got our rezzes quick and we did it a second time. . .we just zerged the ***** and mass healed our MT its easy I was quick suprised we droped that quick the frist time. . .but a belt of fire, diamond, and the cleric thingy droped were happy. . .oh may I add we were a pure darky guild for all you blues(i.e. no bards no rangers no druids)
...as part of a raid with a guild we are allied with.
My first time seeing this guy, and a standard plan is formed - chain heals on MA (A Vah Shir warrior) for thirty seconds until MA calls; then I go in and hit mob with sword from behind.
Well, mob comes in, and being hopped up on KEI, I chain Gheal on the MA (every little bit helps, I thought), and 30 seconds later the call is made, so I head in. Being curious about this guy's stun resistance, I flung a Force at him, which got resisted.
It also peeled him right off the MA, and before I could say "Oopsie" I was getting beat on for 575s. (Darn us uppity 53 pallies in peach colored armor) MA got aggro back, I stayed alive, and I even got the kill shot. :)
Too much fun. :) But where was that aggro when I was picked to me MA for VSR?
I know this guy looks like a fire elemental but do the anti-summoned spells work against him?
We tried to take him out last night. Got him once but he won twice. Our strategy starts out with the biggest baddest tank we can find (level 57 Iksar Warrior). He starts beating on the thing once it's pulled to camp. Have about 3-4 druids and shamans doing fast casting baby heals on the warrior until Ixy's at about 75% health then have a 4 cleric CH rotation going. One CH every 3 seconds while the druids and shamans keep doing the baby heals. Have only the main tank standing in front of the guy and everybody else stand behind Ixy to avoid the AE.
I was told he's totally immune to fire spells so I didn't even try it. Not sure about the anti-summoning spells though - will give them a shot next time. I was trying to stick Malosi on him but it was resisted all 10 times I cast it. Chanters never landed tash on him - would probably help if they did that first.
Well my guild took this guy down today about 6 times today or maybe it was 5. Anyways he crushes for about 500 has a nasty ae Fire spell which i wasnt resisting with 140 fire resist. He also seems to be on a 60-70min timer so Gl if u got more than 1 cleric shooting for epic piece. Method to taking him down is pretty simple. First have cleric do turn in to spawn him then gate back to raid camp have druid track and pull back to raid party. Have 60 Warrior with def Dis turned way the hell up. Give MA as much fire resist as u can, (turning MA into a Fire element helped alot) sometimes though us dumb monkeys would be trying to attack ma instead of Ixy. Othwise it was a total success we had a great turnout and Gratz to Lynn, Jaylyn, Laz, and 3 others that i cant remember =P Also 1 last note i noticed if you beating on him from the back you dont get his AE spell.. I dunno though was a long day didnt relaly matter anyways was total overkill. So get for your clerics my friends a mana free 96% rez is the best rez u will ever get.. unless /petition I think there's a train bug can i get a 100rez.....j/k
We killed him tonight with a pick-up raid of about 25-30 people. Had a few level 60 but most were low to mid 50. I got Insideous Decay on him and then got several resists on Plague of Insects, so I went into melee range to cast. I was killed quickly. I bound right there and when I came back noticed a fair number of bodies near him. Amazingly enough I was able to cast and land Turgurs Insects and Cripple on him first casts from outside of melee range ( after he had been debuffed by Tashxxx and a 58+ mage ). Took him down with like 9 deaths. Its not necessary to get in melee range to land spells on this guy. Not sure if it helped but I had my CHA at 102. Nice to know you can make a big difference in a raid like that. Grats Bremarie on epic piece. Too bad that stingy ***** ( Ixiblat ) only dropped a no drop mage/wiz headpiece. Didnt see him AE at all and only saw one person summoned, but missed about 1/4 the fight from the death. Make sure you have enough shaman/enchanters to get him slowed and clerics must be organized for healing order. Very successful for a pick up raid.
