Ixiblat
# Sep 02 2004 at 8:54 PM Rating: Decent
Did Ixiblat with 65 Mage, 65 Chanter, 65 Cleric.

Set up at Ixi spawn point. Mage had pet up and chanter had DC pet. I sat at turn in spot and about 9pm game time naxot spawned. Did turn in and mage coth'd me. Mage sent in pet. I kept pet healed till chanter got him slowed. After that was easy. Hes got some hps, but he goes down pretty easy, only issue was push from Mage pet. Had to stay in range. I honestly think me and mage could have done it, but do I want to do a bunch of stuff over again? hehe

Killed him today With Myself 65 Necro and My Wife 65 Cleric And A 65 Druid Friend. No slows but had the Druid get Hard Agro with 13 Minute Ensnare then Debuff his fire resistance. Made CoS pet and had it Back Stabbing while Druid Agro Kitted since the ONLY spell that would hit for full Damage was Touch of Mujaki 15 of those and one dead Fir Dude Wife very Happy.

Did him 2x today (someone must have spawned him before my cleric friend turned in his stuff...we got there and there were 2 on top of each other). Paci'd the one, tashed the other. Slowed. 63 SK tanked np. 65 cleric healed. and all 3 of us beat on it melee...seems very resistant to everything until it gets low health...then for some reason all my nukes landed for full instead of partial resists.

Took him out the other night with me (65 war), my level 55 cleric, a 53 rogue and his 62 druid bot.

Slowed with my truncheon of doom (50%), no resists. Didn't bother with stonewall or defensive, just went all out offensive and had the druid chain nuke. Cleric chain complete healed. Ixiblat was dead in less than 2 minutes.

Had no idea how easy this guy was!

One group of: 65sk, 65 necro, 65 shaman, 65 beastlord, 54 wiz, 52 cleric downed him in under a minute, and could have made it with just one CH.

No fancy tactics other than the SK bringing him from his spawn point to where Naxot stood, partly due to the rest of the group being lazy mofos, and partly since it seemed a fairly safe spot :)

Take the Ornate Sea Shell to Naxot Deepwater in Burning Woods. His location is (3400, -2150). He spawns there at 6 P.M. gametime and despawns at 6 A.M. He will give you a Message to Natasha. Ixiblat Fer will spawn. This is a level 62 immense Fire Elemental. Hit hits for up to 575 damage and has over 32000 hit points. He spawns in the Burning Wood at (-2000, 1500). He casts a 300 damage Area Effect fire based spell. AE is a cone. Keep raid behind him and you're fine. His magic resistance is average to below average for his level. His is not completely immune to fire based spells but it is recommended that you use cold based magic. Once he is gotten down to low health, he will try to run. Try and keep him still because he has a fast regeneration rate. Loot off of him Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir. This drops every time.

Did it tonight with
65 ranger
63 ranger
65 druid
65 chanter (50 cleric camped at ent)
65 shaman

Naxot Deepwater spawned at 11am though, not 6pm.

AOE is Lame
# Jan 17 2004 at 2:18 AM Rating: Decent
Okay I just feel this needs to be said. DO NOT worry at all about his aoe. seriously unless you have no casters and all meelee, there is no point. It took me 7Ch's to keep our MT alive, with a very small group. Soon as one CH landed I started a new CH and watched. If i got to half and he wasnt under 80% i ducked and started to recast. The aoe seriously did not make any difference whatsoever. I would concentrate more on HP / AC of MT

AOE is a cone, so keep your people behind Ixiblat and your good to go. This also means that you dont want him turning around on your group so watch your aggro etc. AOE isnt that lame because with a buffed FR of 240 I still caught 200 damage when the chanter over aggroed and he turned around. So it could get nasty if your not paying attention.

We had a small raid force, 13 of us with average level of 55. The MT was a level 62 Warrior. Two clerics and a pally (LoH) in heal support of the MT. Most of us had Fire Resist gear well over 100. MT had FR over 160. (this helps)

Had a tracker pull Ixiblat to the Skyfire zone line once the cleric did the spawn. Ixi came solo without any adds. MT engaged Ixi who had the sceptre visible on him. Rest of melee's assisted at 95% and casters chimed in at 75%.

MT easily held aggro the whole time with rest of raid party behind. Ixi's AE damage only hit some of the rest of us a couple times near the end of the quick 2 minute fight.

The 2 clerics rotated CH on MT and a pally had to use LoH at one point when one cleric got low mana. No deaths in whole raid group and Ixi fell without incident.

Ixi dropped only the cleric epic sceptre and a Circlet of Fire. One of the easiest epic kills we've done so far.

Well first we had about 25 people to be safe, with an average of level 56 or so... We were waiting on his spawn time (6 AM Game Time) and kept getting LDs and such. Our MT went LD so we had the MA take over.

MA wiped somehow and then the rest of us went down. I was the 56 DRU and I could not target to help heal (that day there seemed to be a TON of bugs in the game and evrything that could go wrong was going wrong). So, after rezzes and such we took him on again and almost laughed at how easy it was!

Better than that is this story: I was the onl porter so I was coming back and forth to give people rides outta there and we ended up with a group of a 56 DRU (me), 56 Ranger, 57 CLE & one other 59 Ranger... We decided to take on the re-spawn that popped up for some unknown reason and took him out with no problems whatsoever. It was a blast and was regular group xp and not Raid :o)

I want his Cloak of Flames very badly!!!

Not hard at all!
# Dec 17 2003 at 8:04 AM Rating: Decent
Dropped this guy in about 2 min on Torv last night. Hardest parts was the laughing. We used a 65 Druid as tank (has decent PoT gear). Rest of group was:
59 Shaman (Malosini and slow)
57 Wiz (nuke away)
57 Pal (never stole aggro from the Druid)
56 Ranger (did what they do)
55 Cleric (just Chealed the druid)
This was not the brightest idea or way to do this guy, but it was doable. Not sure why but as the shaman I had to do all the pulling. I guess the druid and ranger having track and all would have made it to easy. I got a resist on initial Tugur's (expected to, used it to pull without a summon) then 1 resist on Malosini (the one beofre malo if I am spelling it wrong or naming wrong one). Once Malasini landed at zone tugur was next and epic-dot stuck. Good luck to all you clerics out there.
Question
# Oct 24 2003 at 1:38 PM Rating: Decent
one question, will the spell Banishment work on him?

RE: Question
# Oct 27 2003 at 4:46 PM Rating: Excellent
I am not sure that anyone has tried banishment on him. IF it did work, then he would poof and destroy the reason for spawning him to get the cleric epic piece. There is no reason to do a banishment on him in the first place since he is a spawned mob, and you know he is coming, and you want his drop, and you (probably) have a group/raid rdy to take him on, and you want his loot.

His AE is flagged as resistable, and is resistable. We just did him twice last night, and level 65 Paladin in our group resisted a few times.

with 165 FR, the only thing that hit my Necromancer was him, after he summoned me. As I recall, about 35k HPs, quads for up to 585 per smack. We took him down with 14 people, average level 60; 4 bards, 3 necros, 2 druids, 1 beastlord, 2 clerics, 1 ranger, and 1 Paladin (told to only heal, after being eaten thrice). The 65 Necro pet was our tank, and it worked well. at 62, and having died once, I used Wake the Dead on my own corpse, sent in my 61 necro pet, and lifetapped--seems that other than splurt and self-only lifetaps, he didn't seem to take to any of my spells. Beast (62) went through 2 pets (all healers were on the necro tank pet), and other than that, no casualties. Quick kill, once we got all our firepower assembled.
Ixblat Must Die
# Oct 08 2003 at 6:30 PM Rating: Decent
Last night on quellious
Ixiblat died 3 times.
#1
The first time was a 20 plus person raid, avg lvl 61.65 SK MA, 65 chanter slower. IX died in like 30 secs.
Note: A chanter charmed Naxlot but he still poofed after turn in.
#2
We left zone for an hour hunting in ChardB
Next Group was:
65 SK
62 Pal
63 Clr
58 Shm
57 Clr
65 Mge
55 War
57 Clr
55 Dru
This would seem like plenty, but the MA lost Virtue during pull. Also the 65 Mage died straight out, PLZ casterswatch your aggro, so we lost our dps.It was a tough fight with 2 cleric going OOM. But Ix DIED.
By the time Ix died it was 9 am game time...
Naxlot spawned again at about 7 pm, just enough time to recover mana and rebuff.
#3
Same as above; replaced =
62 Pal with 62 SK
55 war and 57 Clr with a 55 Mge
Ixblat died in no time flat, Only needed heal spam for first few seconds.
58 Shaman slow landed Np.
Ixiblat died in 1 min.

I think for this fight Good DPS makes all the difference. If he dies fast you only need 1 main healer and a spot healer to keep MA alive till slow lands.

I hope this helps.
