For the Shaman epic this mob is in West Karana and is pinky purple and huge

In East Karana: This mob looks very similar to a wisp. Sounds like one too. But conned med blue to my lvl 30 Ranger, and was able to defeat it with 2 bubs left. Of course, I just went head-to-head with it and didnt kite. Which is good, because it nailed me real good with Spirits of Frost spell. Also can sometimes hit around 52pts too. Found no loot and no money.

In Oceangreen Village: Part of the task "Music For a Weary Soul".

Pathing Picture
# Nov 10 2013 at 4:43 PM Rating: Decent
I tried to follow the spirit until my mapping started to path back over itself. About an hour and some change into it, I couldn't keep telling myself it would all be over in 1 more line.

You can see though the largest area that the spirit roams, and the main section that he zigs and zags through. It's a little SW of the posted -500, -5300. Both will work, just I think the pathing is more frequent in the other location.

I try to turn in both gems at the same time to him, and he eats them, saying 'This is a sad day. You have failed and strayed from the path set before you. Please try to live as close to the spirits as you are able, though this is the closest you will ever get.'
Before this, i messed it up and turned one in and not the other. Got same message.
This is aggrivating. What am i supposed to do?

True wisdom comes from knowing the true path is to kill both of them and loot woe, enve, and marrs promis. Turn these into the wandering spirit for the next part of your epic.

I just did this part of my epic, and a wandering spirit gave me the shield of falsehood, but did not give me a sparkling gem. Anyone else ever have this problem. The item is temporary according to alla, so how do I continue with my epic without it? Any ideas? I reported it as a bug, but not sure what the outcome will be.

absolutely correct on this
TIP: You can stand at neg 500 neg 5300 in West Karana and he will path by you. I've now done this twice and never waited more than 20 - 30 min tops. He will also path by Tower 2, actually colliding with it on his journey. Just keep looking around so he doesn't slip by you. . . . - Belgar"

stood in that spot and not even 5 minutes later there he was!!

Where i found him in 2006
# Jul 24 2006 at 3:52 PM Rating: Decent
Doing my epic on my second shammy.

Firstly, you should download all the maps from Toolbox for what I am about to say to make sense

He is usually on the botton 1/3 of the map, S.W. and does follow the road a little. The first time i found him at the ) in Fletcher) at the corner of the road.
For the second turn in, i found him just above that and to the right, right next too.. what is his name.. clemens or cletous or.. something like that.

On the map you cannot miss who I am talking about, his name is just above to the right of the (Fletcher).

Thanks

Where to find him
# Sep 23 2004 at 11:56 PM Rating: Decent
You can usually find him by the farmers field by the water. I do not have an exact location, but if you zone into the south end of WK and keep running, you will eventually run into the field where a couple animated pumpkins wonder around. I have found him there 7 times for ppl. Thanks and good hunting all. [:claps:]

West Karana doesn't have a south zone line 8(
RE: Where to find him
# Jan 12 2006 at 10:41 AM Rating: Decent
Pretty sure he meant the southern part of the Western karana zone. Finally found this guy after following his directions to the farm with the two animated scarecrows. It was north of the Miller farm north of Cleet's house. It wanders pretty fast too. I've found it 4 times doing this.

Don't kill it!
# Nov 24 2003 at 12:07 PM Rating: Decent
EEESH thx to dumb people killing the wandering spirit it took me 6 HOURS to wait for a respawn to do a 30 second hand in to get the shield part of my epic. If ya not a shammy why are ya bothering with it leave it so some poor shammy doesnt have to wait so long to do a hand in.

I also created a lvl 1 rng on my other account and sat it next to shm so rng could track it for shm, if ya dont have a spare account or 2 comps then i say pay a dru or rng to track it for ya worth every gold piece!

So please please please leave it be!!!!!

They bother with it because it is one of the highest XP mobs in the zone and worth killing.

You shouldnt kill it. Yes it does give exp, but no loot and no money makes it a un-likely foe. Not to mention the fact its no push over. Leave it for the shammy's.... I killed one thinking it was a willow.... Yes I know should have conned it first, but Willows have always been willows if you know what I mean. Good Hunting all.. Enjoy

have a 35+ ranger hit it with one arrow then runto QH zone, where the shaman is standing by. once the ranger zones (wait till the wisp hits you next to zone before you zone) then the Shamen has great luck. I kept hailing it after i zoned back fo 20 min. for all the other shaman to get done.

Slightly incorrect sense it conned dubious to my Iksar monk which coincidentally is the same as my faction as Karana residents after a little work. Are they connected or is this just random chance if anyone knows please post.

I dunno whether something was wrong with my tracking or what, but i followed this thing all over the zone and never even saw it. Very strange.

# Sep 22 2001 at 10:57 PM Rating: Default
This mob is sowed. As a level 24 ranger, I tracked it for quite a while, at least 5 minutes, with no sow, and it was very long before I saw it. A couple times, it would say A wandering spirit is straight ahead. A wandering spirit is straight ahead. A wandering spirit is behind you. Tracking may be messed up, because it took me all over the place, and I had to backtrack twice because it would change direction all of a sudden. I finally found the annoying thing near the hill with the cyclopes on it, to discover that it wouldn't talk to me, and was yellow =(

It does take a long time to track, but it is possible to track it. It just takes a long time, because it travels just slightly slower than running without sow.
Shammy Epic
# Jun 27 2001 at 7:00 AM Rating: Decent
This lil thing is for the shaman epic quest.
You talk to it to get a container, fill it with a few items from Rathe Mountains and give it back to get a pretty good shield and the ability to continue,
There are such things as quiet faction hits for those who don know, this one knocks down your faction with True Spirit, This is the faction for the key figures in the Shammy Epic, and from what ive heard, all others,
These buggers wander all over the zone and are needed, so dont kill it without askin if any shammy need it,
Hope this info helps

Wandering Spirit was NO MATCH for the Hollow Brothers!!
# May 18 2001 at 3:46 AM Rating: Decent
Ok, so it was another beautiful day in the Karana's when I tracked yet another Wandering Spirit, conning formidable to me at 25 of course. Accompanied by my sidekick and all around sturdy dwarf, Lechran.
Let's get HIM !BWAHHHH!

Rooted it to start, layed a couple Ignites on it to get the fight off to start, BAM in 2 seconds I was poisoned with Envenomed Breath, and blasted with ice for 81. By the time we had him half to death, I was down to a few measly bubbles of health, and had to root him and back off letting the dwarf do his business.
Needless to say, we had been beaten senseless when it suddenly looked as though we were gonna win! WOO! So we berserkered all over it until it finally fled!
Slain! That'll teach ya to wander in my woods.
So with 28 HPs left, I sat down to med, and me and Lechran had a nice picnic.

I saw one of these was blue to my 29 ranger. Firgured it would fight like a regular wisp but with more HPS and damgaeing attacks. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! I went in and started to root and shoot it. When it broke GR I went toe to toe with it. Proceded to get my sorry little *** kicked cause it started to heal it self. So I snared it and ran to T2. They gave me no help. So I tryed to kite it with my bow. Bad move I just wasted my arrows as it would stop and heal it self. I did this all the way to Qeynos Hills zone hoping I could string a few crits together. I was using an Icy Blade and a Short Sword of Morin and was taking it down fast. Only problem was he kept stoping to heal himself I belive he has Lesser Healing mabye Healing didn't really bother to try and figure it out sense I don't know who many HPS he had. It half resisted my Shock of Ice proc on the Icy so im guessing its got some type of cold resist.
