OK this camp does suck big time, and right on the heals of the 1st camp which was no fun either, and if you wait to start epic these are just pointless green mobs, no xp even, which really adds to the suck factor.
But what REALLY sucks is that this is minor in comparison to the shards in Skyfire, if you can't handle this, then don't go on because each shard is about 2-3 times longer to get than this one step.
I've been on this camp for 32 hours over the past 4 days on the Tribunal. Someone helped me out and camped it from 8am to 6pm today. GM's of course are useless and never help. Guess we will have to wait for the next patch to find out for sure.....meanwhile, ill be in sol eye :)
there is no reason for SoE to make a low level mob spawn this rarely ive been killing the PH for days now on saryrn server 8 to 14 hrs a day this is stupid.
He actually spawned in less time than it took to get Lord Begurgle. Even if you are a high enough level that the dungeon is all greens to you, make sure you load an AOE if you're heading in solo. You'll pull a nice social green train when getting to his room. But once your there, you're all set. Plan on camping out in that room though, he's no fun to continually have to make your way back too in the heart of the dungeon.
No tricks to getting him, just a hell of a lot of patience. He is easily soloable by a 55 cleric. Try to get them on a schedule - PH pops, then 30 seconds later the one across from them, etc etc so you aren't fighting multiple mobs each time.
currently going into the 5th hour of this camp today. Spent a bit over 12 hours straight yesterday. Have camped him a few times for an hour to three at a time before that.
I think he moved and forgot to give his people his forwarding address. I even told them, once he showed up, I'd go away and leave them to their little goblin games, but noooooo. /sigh
*Edit: the 46th spawn today (14 hours, after the 12 yesterday, or 83 placeholders total in two days) finally was him. Yeesh!
I camped him last night with no spawn for 3 hours. BUT, he had spawned for a lvl 70 druid right before I arrived. I had just killed the plasmatic priest and ran right over. When I arrived at Gimby spawn spot, the Druid was looting the ring. I think I caused Gimby to spawn by killing the priest and looting the robe. The druid just got lucky and killed my spawn. He had been there camping for 3 hours himself. Still don't know why a druid was camping him. Hmm.
The druid was likely camping him becuase you can MQ the Cleric epic. It goes for around 300k on Bristlebane atm. You complete up to the Bloodsoaked robe. Pass the robe off to the cleric who is paying for the MQ. He turns in robe. You run to natasha and turn in ring to continue the quest. The recipient recieves the Orb of Frozen water for turning in the robe. You complete the other two orbs. Near the end, you turn in the first two orbs, he turns in the third orb, and walla he recieves the Orb of the Triumvirate which he turns in for the epic at that point. So yah, anyone can really do this.
This is the first time I am mqing the epic. It has all gone according to plan so far. I will be also attempting to MQ the paladin 1.0 epic also soon. That one is a tad more time consuming to MQ, but still possible.
ok i have been camping this dude for three days...a total of 21hrs....i think soe took him out of their memory banks on last patch on the 17th....if he don't spqwn soon..ya'll gonna read in the newspapers or see on the local news computer thrown threw sony window and on it a picture of lord gimblox that says put him back in... signed the unlucky dwarf
Not sure what server you are on, but on our server - one of our Guild clerics took him down on 12/25 and then my wife and I were duoing in Sol A and got him trained on us and took him down on 12/26. So, he is still around on our server anyways (Bristlebane.)
this is got to be one of the boringest camps there is and going on my second day and if he doesnt spawn real soon i'l go even more insane than i already am ...come on Gimblox i have something for you =)
Well found out today that you only have to clear the room where Lord Gimblox is to pop. There is the only one PH and its in that room. It is a spawn time for sure of 19 min every kill. You just have to keep doing till the lord finally pops. Well I hope that help's
I could only wish that there was some trick to get him to spawn. I have to wonder why game makers would design a quest where someone has to spend days and days camping two different spawns. I spent about 18 hours total, with 9 of them straight before I got Lord Berg to pop. Now I am camped in Sol A and I am not leaving there until I get the ring.
Ok im here to let all u holy men and women out there know that either i got EXTREMELY lucky or the other people who say they camped this for 20 hours were VERY unlucky. I got both Lord Bergurgle and Lorg Gimblox to spawn in under an hour each, so dont dread this as much as you might have thought..... good luck all, and may brell's blessing continue to aid you in your journeys =)
I just finished Lord Grimblox so you can trust my info. The location above is wrong. The loc is -96, -366 which is the room in between 17 & 18 on www.eqatlas.com map. Come in thru lavastorm and run down either pacifying your way thru or just kill the mobs, they are all green anyway. He is exactly a 19 minute timer. One gobbo spawns on each side of the room. The one on the left side from where you come in IS the PH for Grimblox. 19 minute timer does NOT mean after killing the PH 19 minutes later Lord Grimblox will show up. Its rare actually. I camped him for 14 hours straight!!!!! I didnt leave except to do one rez for about 10 minutes. I started him at around 7pm and he spawned at 9 am. It's random. Ive seen people even in my own guild, that got him on the first PH kill. Lucky dogs. He is very soloable with a high level cleric. Still green to me at 58th level. Root him and stun/nuke as much as you have to to kill him, for me it only took an average of one high blast per gobbo. They usually didnt even have to be rooted cause they werent running at that point but have it up just in case. Some decent money can be made there also with gem drops and misc. items to sell. When your done just gate out. I wouldnt suggest leaving the camp once you've started. While I was there I had 2 people asking if he was being camped. If you leave you stand the chance of losing your spot and have to start all over. His timer is just random at best. Some people get lucky.

I replied to a post about this already, but it's way down on the list. The Location of this guy is -818, -343. He's in the next room labled room 17 on the EQ Atlas map (by the Throne Room). I guess i got lucky with this guy since I only had to kill 2 PH to get him to spawn. Oh well. I hope this helps.
At least with lord B you could mq it this camp has bored me to tears ..... been camping a week now nothing but ph's i can understand a hard mob , but this mindless waiting is just plain STOOPID !!!!!
ok why does almost every site about this section of the epic quest say 19 minute spawn after ph? or is that every PH has a 19 minute spawn and no frikkin clue as to Lord's spawn times?
if you kill a PH, 19 minutes later the frikkin Lord should spawn so we can get on with our lives...
Well, Lords and Kings have their lives too. So maybe Lord G is visiting his kids or maybe having a conjugal visit with his wife somewhere and doesnt want to be hassled by the 'puny humans' hunting him for his ring. Maybe he is out among his people/goblins disguised as a pauper so as to get a feel for what is happening in his kingdom?
Too bad if he doesn't want to appear to satisfy other races schedules.
Life goes on. Just so long as you zone in time...........
I spent a nice solid block of time, only leaving the room once for 3 or so minutes. It got to the ponit that I was so bored that I ended up playing Gems in between/during (love pause) PH spawns. I went through at least 20 PHs with no spawn and finally gave up. I plan to go back tomorrow and try again after I exp a bit (so as not to make the day completely worthless).

two hours of camping and he spawned. was going in between this camp and the king, and then using the 20 minutes in betweent o go and kill someother named's spawns. Easy solo at 55, four nukes and he was down. he's just got a tad more hps than the mobs around him, but fights like them. on to the next part of the quest...
I got insanely lucky here, I was setting myself up to get ready for the plasmatic priest and decided to swing by to camp Grimblox while I waited for my SK to get there, I pacced my way to the throne room (the gobs still agro though long green to 55), when I got there, Grimblox was already UP! I accidentally agroed the king too but my hammer pet made short work of him.
Just spent 30 hours on this, so I thought I would summarise.
Spawns in the throne room in Solusek's Eye loc is about neg 800, neg 370.
The room has two static spawns, and one wanderer who passes through. The wanderer can spawn in multiple spots, but will path through the room reasonably quickly after spawning.
The static spawns are on the raised areas in the north and south of the room.
The south spawn and the wanderer are random goblins in the level 26-30 range, warriors, rogues, shamans or wizards.
The north spawn is either Large Fire Goblin, Fire Goblin Shaman or Lord Gimblox.
Spawn time on all spots is 19 minutes.
Healers in either the king room or the room to the NE of the throne room will heal through the walls, so it is worth taking these out until a non-healer spawns if you want the most effort-free camp.
A terrible camp! I'm lucky enough to have more than one account and computer, so at least I PLed a few characters up to 30 or so there, but otherwise bring a book and try to get into the frame of mind where killing the placeholder is just something to do to give you a break from your book :)
I guess the ring can be MQ'ed, but only if the person with the ring also does all the Zordak parts of the quest also, including collecting the shards, and then MQs the Orb of Vapor. So not very practical, and not confirmed as far as I know.
When I have to camp spawns, I have arranged to have a small television and my PS2 nearby. That way, I can either watch a movie/DVD, or play a game while waiting for the timer to announce the spawn. I also read books, pay bills, create charts that will help me keep info clear, etc. Basically, sitting waiting for a camp gives you a lot of time to work other things. Be creative and put that "wasted" time to good use.
I'm not adding anything new here, but I just finished another long session and I'd just say that this thing really is hit and miss - sometimes you'll get him in 2 or so PH's and other times you'll sit for hours crying in your hands.
Naturally I'm more familiar with the latter.
Bring something to do, go AFK maybe and watch some TV or whatever it is that will fill your time for about 20 minutes, but be warned of stray goblins that like to disturb your 'med break'.
Also, no need for KEI, at least from my knowledge, but a definite need for caffeine.
Now if you'll excuse me I have more head bashing to do.
is this camp really worth the epic if sony wants to make u wait this long for a mob to spawn i mean sure it will spawn sooner or later or WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY later ... lol but god theres a time where u gotta draw the line on making ppl wait .............
