Sit at LDoN camp with track on, kill all mobs in the area. Max amount of mammoths up at once is 4, max amount of calves up at once is 4. Killing other mobs speeds up the spawn of mammoths and calves. Like other corrupted, spawns right after tainted is taken down. Mine was across the river from LDoN.

I fought the corrupted mammoth and hill giant both this evening - with no problem. I can confirm that the mammoth was not bugged by the Christmas event.

Camped the mob for about 2 hours, mammoth calfs were hard to find for the ph, but finally got tainted to pop and corrupted spawned right on top of corpse. Found over near Spell merchant.
i killed this twice today on my 30 pally simple, there were two taineteds walking around at the SAME TIME! oh ya killed and found it on frozen river by LDON camp
51 bst, 50 mage and 45 shamaness camping IG's. Tainted wandered through and pet shredded him. heh heh. Corrupted spawned and turned towards where we were medding. Ran past Me (vah shir), mage (high elf) and attacked the Barbarian shamaness on site. lol Must be a racial thing. /shrug

What are the spawn time on these things anyone know i am a lvl40 druid and 47ranger alt starting my druid epic so what is time? and were do they spawn mostly?

I just killed 3 within 30 mins while i was at the LDoN camp. they seemed to roam between there and IG camp

My first night trying to hunt down one of these guys, I searched for 2 hours while killing every mammoth I found, and finally gave up. The next day, during the afternoon, I came in and within 30 mins, he was on my tracking. Ironically, I managed to forage a frozen tundra root or whatever that other epic piece is (I quite honestly forget) almost immediately after I kited the corrupted to death.
He was fairly easy to me at lvl 30 with DoT and nuke.

I had been hunting Wooly Mammoths for there Tusks and a tiny bit of xp (being 31st level) and I spotted a Tainted Mammoth. Well I was following him to get to a better area with less of his "friends" around (mammoths are very social). An some drood started smacking on him. I was a little annoyed but I hadn't actually attacked it yet, so I couldn't say anything. The tainted was killed and left the drood with about 40% hp. Well, a cat ran by me so I killed it (never turn down a chance at a pelt). As I am walking back I see the drood deadder then hell and A CORRUPTED mammoth attacked me. Normally these mamoths are indiffernt and never sggro but he did. I ran and my animation started hacking on him. I turn around to root the thing and I see my pet being attacked by that corrupted and ANOTHER tainted. Fortunately the other tainted didn't come after me cause the two small hits from the corrupted had already dropped me to 75% hp. As I was deciding whether to attack or jet. I saw my pets health bar dropping FAST. So I memmed a gate spell and as the pet dropped and the mammoths turned on me, my gate gem lit up and I was out!
Close call.
No infor here (except that corrupted mammoths DO aggro you if you are normally indiffernet to regular mammoths) .... just a story!

I was soloing Mammoths with LVL 30 Warrior when I came across A tainted woolly Mammoth after killing this the corrupted spawned straight away and went for me eventually it killed me. As I went back for corpse there it was stood over my body. Did Corpse drag and this thing followed corpse to me Luckily with full health I was able to loot sowords and kill the beast.

Not only don't Corrupteds aggro me, they don't even hit me either! I fought six during the past two days and none of them layed a tusk or trunk or ANYTHING on me...no damage what-so-ever. I even attacked three of them from behind and two never even turned around to face me! (Level 32 Paladin, they con Dk Blue to me). Is this a bug or something or are us Pallys who wield a Sporali Defender's Blade and Chitin Shell Shield just too bad for them?
I was hunting in a group once back when i was lvl 25, Well paladin in group was about lvl29 and a few other people higher then me, but pally was pulling. Anyways i was snare fear druid, and cleric played healer as always, this guy AGROED on me. Well we got the loot and only one of us knew what it was actually for. One dude almost destroyed it. Hope i didnt ruin anyones epic that day, but i got one piece of epic at 25. And i just learned what it was for when i almost forgot. lol

after you kill the tainted mammie there spawns the corrupted mammie, make sure you have sow on before you attack the corrupted if you get in trouble just run away from it after a distance the corrupted stops chasing you you can sit and memm up, but the corrupted also heals up so expect a full healed mammie when you return to fight it agian. BTW if you snare it and terrorize the corr it will make for an easy kill done this many of times

Tainted NEVER drops ANY loot at all so people won't try looting the tainted; this is a mercy from Verant so the corrupted won't con onto noobs trying to loot their fresh kill. (noobs isnt derogitory)

After killing the tainted I have stood right beside the corrupt without it even looking my way. Wouldn't exactly call that KOS.

Just for those of you that say he is a misscon, you ARE wrong. He DOES scowl at you, ready to attack for something. He will attack you on sight. He just has next to no aggro range. For a dare the other day with someone new to the zone, I ran up to it and it attacked me. So it DOES kill you on sight. Luckily, there was a 52 druid there who needed part of epic, so im running for my life after being doubled for 53 each hit, then he comes along and kills it, Not that im complaining, got my piece of epic last month. Hope this helps end the argument.

As a young Ranger in my teens I was attacked by the Corrupted Mammoth and got the sh** beat out of me while hunting the Mammy Calf’s. When I recently turned 30 I decide to go back to my old stomping grounds and kill me some grown up Mammys! Just got my 31 and the Corrupted now conned Dark Blue with the old "Scowls at your ready to attack" thing, but the thing never looked twice at me even when I ran right over him. Soooooo…. I moved about 100 distance away and hit him with "Grasping Root" and "Stinging Swarm" and still nothing, he didn't even charge at me. Even though he seemed to resist the spells and take no damage I at least expected him to chase me!? Stupefied I decided to go back down and take a look. I got to a distance of about 75 and he turns and charges at me. Instinct takes over and I turn and run for my life…….. for a few seconds, before I remember I am no longer a Ranger in my teens! :o So I turn around and he run’s right up to me and just stands there!? Hummmm? So I returned the favor and beat the Sh** out of him without so much as a nudge from him!? The “Tainted” mammy always fights back but this thing, I just don’t know what the deal is with it maybe it's just a fluke!?
I must say it is nice to be able to kill these Wooly Mammoths so easy and get 10+ platinum from each tusk, that is with 103 Charisma. I play during the off time when there is only a few people in the zone, usually high levels killing Ice giants, and I get an average of one mammy ever 5 minutes and one tusk per mammy. Easy money and experience so will keep it up till they no longer provide experience then will go try out some of them Hill Giants I used to run from! : )
Update: Went back to get my level 32 and killed 5 more of these things in the process. first one hit me once during a fight when I walked almost directly under him, I like to get way up under the mammoths because they seem to hit me less and for much lower numbers (single digits to low teens 90% of the time), anyway this 1st one hit me once during the fight.
The second one never hit me, in fact I sat down in front of him and med'ed to get my mana up and he was nice enough to stand and wait for me.
The 3rd one hit me twice, but only after I stood behind him (yes behind him) and beat him down to 50% health then he turned and decided to hit me TWICE!?
Using a wurmslayer I wanted to see if the Range of 20 would let me root him and hit from a safe distance, this is when the 4th one decided to strike back and hit me once.
The 5th one never hit me. And this is the ONLY time I have ever, without the use of a spell, been able to hit a mob from behind and be ignored!? These things have to be bugged or something it just dosent make sence.

The Corrupted Mammoth does not attack on site. I twice downed the Tainted, spawned the Corrupted, and sat next to him for several minutes recovering from the previous fight.
(Monk 15, with big Druid backup or I'd have been hoof-paste).

He spawns when you kill the tainted wooly mammoth(Right on the corpse)instantaneously. The tainted is a rare spawn over by perma (NOTE: Even though tainted spawns every 20 minutes, it is camped a lot so it is classed as rare). The corrupted DOES NOT aggro, even though it says to me {A corrupted wooly mammoth scowls at you, ready to attack, what would you like your tombstone to say?}. It also will not move from spot it spawns at. Hope this helps.

And where does this beast spawn...anyone know roughly?
I have killed the thing twice now in 2 days in Everfrost. All the other posts are correct in that you must kill the tainted mammoth to spawn this thing and it always spawns immediately on top of the tainted one's corpse.
Both times I killed this thing it was east of the frozen river pretty close to the entrance to Permafrost.
UPDATE:
Just spent 4 hours in Everfrost last night killing mammoths again. This series (tainted -> corrupted) spawned back to back to back, I have never seen this before. No sooner had I killed the corrupted one the first time and the tainted one again showed up, really close to the corrupted's still rotting corpse. Killed the 2 again, and I'll be, the tainted showed up again within the time that the corrupted's corpse was rotting. Point being is that the tainted mammoth that starts this series is truly a random spawn.
Once the tainted popped on the east side of the river, and the other 2 times was in the wedge between the river forks. Hope this helps.
Oh, one more thing. I have been killing mammoths in my spare time from levels 34-37 now and those people that say that these 2 mammies aggro on you are idiots. Maybe that's harsh and they were set that way before, but they aren't now. I have run right up in front of these things are started medding and nothing happened. The only time any mammoth aggros is if you are killing one of their kind. Calves will not help their papas and vice versa.

The Corrupted spawns in the exact location of the dead Tainted. It spawns immediately when the Tainted dies, as if it is daring the killer of the Tainted to loot.
Therefore your quest is to find a Tainted in order to locate a Corrupted. I see Tainteds often on the white slopes at the river fork during times when lots of Woolies are being hunted. I believe that killing enough Woolies will trigger the Tainted to spawn somewhere, but others say this is not true; in any case I've seen the Tainteds appear at the fork just like the Woolies. I have seen more than one Tainted up at the same time, but during these cases it is said that only one of the two Tainteds will spawn the Corrupted.

It is possible to kill him at 20 with agood group, it was my druid at 20,2 shammys, an enchanter, and 1 warrior. I picked a tainted up on track while we were hunting mammoths, so we killed it, then this corrupted spawns, we killed it with a lot of dmg shields and runes, and heals. I looted the chunk of tundra off this guy. We killed him again 20 minutes later.

This thing is dead on to the lvl thats mentioned above, at least on the Fennin Ro server. I'm a lvl 30 ranger and it conned black to me after I kill the tainted WM. Took it out fairly easy, using snare and panice animal alot. I picked up the chunk of tundra not really knowing what it was. That that info would help.

I am a level 31 Druid trying to do as much of my epic as I can early and so I was wandering Everfrost (actually looking for Karg) when I fount the tainted wooly mammoth. He conned blue to me (I was level 30 at the time) so I killed him, well no sooner was he dead up comes the curropted mammoth it conned blue to and said scowls at me ready to attack but he does not aggro. So I stopped medded got up and killed him after kiting him for a little bit. he was no problem at all. Because he conned blue to me at the time I think the level mentioned above may be a little high. Anyway got the Chunk of Tundra and I am on my way to getting that scimitar.

At level 30 the corrupted still cons yellow to me, the tainted dark blu. Neither one has ever KOS me and I've walked right up to them.
