I just killed this guy today for my epic. It was the last piece I needed, so now I've got two level 56 characters with epics.

I used my level 56 ranger for the encounter, because I got enough higher warriors to handle him, so I wound up pulling him (no bard high enough to pull him, only one other ranger there)

When you pull him, pull him to the succor area by the FoB zone. You won't get adds there and it's fairly easy to get people there, makes for a long pull though.

First attempt, we had 18 people, 3 very well balanced groups of 55-60. Pulling him, a moldering ape aggroed on me and bashed me, thereby stunning me and killing me. The other ranger AND the main tank went to pull him (BADDD) and totally surprised our camp. We got him down to 8% health though before our last monk and necro FD'd.

Second try, we had 26 people, 4 very well balanced groups. It was understood what would happen on the pull if I died again, the other ranger would go and drag Sev the rest of the way. Everything went fine on the pull, didn't get hit, then I lagged out for a half a second, got stunned, and wasted like 100 yards or so from camp, just out of everybody's clip plane. Ranger tagged him, brought him the rest of the way, when I was done zoning Sev was at 5% health. I was the only death on the second attempt. Rezzed me, then I went to loot. Here's what he dropped:
Green Dragon Scales (had these defaulted to me)
Dragon Hero Bracer
Dragon Bone Bracer
Spell: Aegis (cle)
Spell: Demi-Lich (nec)
Spell: The Unspoken Word (cle)
Spell: Divine Intervention (cle)
Spell: Disintegrate (wiz)

Be smart about what you cast on the puller. Rune is a MUST, as is the best set of cleric buffs you can throw on the character. Get magic and poison resist up as high as possible as well (Poison was 254, magic 230-ish for me, resisted all but ONE stun, which proved fatal on my second pull). Shamans and necros are a definite must, so are mages for the resist gear they summon.

Sev is easily do-able with 3 good groups 55+, just as long as you're clear on what happens if the puller goes down.

I was thinking yay, now i can get my selos drums without killing Nafagen. Then i looked at this guy and realized he's gonna be way harder to kill than wimpy old Nafagen. Gosh darnit.

He might be harder to kill than Naggy, but definitely doable with a few good groups, and definitely worth it!. I was just on a raid a few days ago to Kill him. A few things that might help:

* His AE is poison based, around 500dmg.
* He chain cast AE stuns.
* He requires at least 4 groups of 55+. Our main tank group had 2x60 warriors, 2 clerics 59 & 60 respectively, a shaman and a bard.

To kill him, its a MUST to have necros casting DMF on everyone, and preferably have a bard in your main group singing poison/disease resist and guardian rhyme. Hope that helps, good luck on killing him.

well i played pvp also and i choose to go back to the carebear server after getting massively chain killed.. i agree that players are harder than any mob cause they feed off of your weakness after a fight and a mob doesnt. But you cant tell some1 they are a loser for not decieding to put up with it.. my 2cp

on prexus he spawned today and within 90 minutes everyone was there helping my guildie kill him for his epic piece (scales) , he let me come (40 mage lol) and of course i died becoz of his ae fear, but what an honor it was to die because of him. well if you can get ur poison resist really high you have nothing to worry about if u got as many peeps as we had there... around 18 lvl 60's most clerics and warriors, we had about 40 peeps on him and he went down in 2 minutes... i repeat 2 minutes

may your journies on norrath be safe, may quellious save your soul on luclin

Put a druid at the safespot to track there, then stay there RIGHT after a patch for 3 days, you will see him when hes up.

He will spawn after serverdown in 1-3 days, after that, he spawns in 7-9 days untill next patch.

If you want him you need people who can mobolize fast to kill though :)

Ok...since there is NO reliable info I could find on how Severilious spawns, and when you can get him, decided to post here.

So your a warrior, your 60, you want your epic, and you know you have enough friends or a guild who will help you as SOON as sev pops, heres what to do.

First, if you want to start out on a clean slate for him, get a druid/ranger around level 35+ to EJ before a patch.

When patch is over, move your tracker to FoB zone, from there, follow the wall so that its on your left, and follow it till you get to FOUR pillars in a strait line heading to the side of a cliff.

That is the camp spot, park your tracker on the wall there, (not the cliff wall) and that is your new home for the next 4 days.

From what I gathered on his spawn time, he can spawn 1-3 days after a patch, when he spawns you will see him on track there.

You need to keep the tracker there 24/7 checking on him.

things you should know about him :
1) He is gimp, 3 groups of level 60 people can own him with 0 deaths, easily.
2) He does NOT always drop the green scale, but he can drop up to 2. He dropped none when I camped him :(
3) He has 2 AE's, Fear and Stun, Fear you can get past by using Bark Potions, Stun I resisted every time with 200+ SV poison.
4) He is level 60, so will show up just like the name of a player if your tracker is level 60. You can also see his pet up on track. Being 60 means if you are level 60 when you fight him, easy resists.
5) He runs faster then sow. You need a bard with Selo's to pull him, or someone with Scale of Wolf would probobly work also...be careful though if he stuns you your screwed.
6) He only has 32k hps, once again, VERY easy kill.
7) Only hard part about him really, would be first, camping him. Second, getting your guild/friends mobolized in EJ before others find out hes up, and maybe the pull if you don't have capable people.

So yeah, good luck on him, its all tried and true, so what I said works :)

First time I tried this guy, 3 groups of 52+, we got wiped horribly (as far as I know none of us had done him before). Second try, 22 people 52+, and we owned him. Here's what I think went wrong the first time, and what we did right the second.
First of all, the stun is nasty nasty nasty. Have your MR and PR as high as possible (duh) but also, bards are a huge help. First time we only had one, second time we had three. If you're short on bards, cram your clerics in a group with him. The resist songs help A LOT. Sev's got a huge agro radius, so it may be possible to pull him with sow and still make it back alive, but I'd say to have the highest bard with the best resists pull him.
Also, from what I gathered from the casters after the first try, he's VERY hard to debuff. Even more so than most dragons. Not sure what you can do about that, but probably good to know. Besides the bards, wizards are key. Even with high resists (most melees were above 200) you're going to be getting stunned sometimes, and with melees getting stunned a lot, it's only a matter of time before you go oom and go down, so you want to have the nukers to get him down fast. First time we had one wiz and one mage, second time 4 wizards and one mage. Made a huge difference. Hope this helps.

His poison **** does about 350-500 AE dmg. You'll need several 55+ tanks and a few clerics atleast to whack this mob. Good luck you sorry bastages!

The guild known as FoH is perhaps the most famous and uber guild on all the servers. They are generally the first guild to kill the highest level monsters in the game. I am sure they probably killed this dragon within a few days of it first appearing in EQ. GM's follow raids done by FoH to see how easily they kill new monsters. If it is too easy, they toughen the monsters.

This dragon has been killed many, many, MANY times by many guilds. He has a very short life expectancy once he spawns.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 19 2001 at 7:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wowsers! Isn't FOH dreamy? They are the UBEREST! Ive played for a couple years, and since they aren't on my server, I haven't heard of them and could give a damn about what they do. If they are the tip-top cream-of-the-crop guild of all guilds, that's great, but I doubt they need a cheering section or a fan club. I know this is an internet message board for EQ, but do we have to act like *total* nerds about this stuff? Man... Go accomplish something in real life for your ego boosts, don't fool yourself into thinking that killing a dragon in a CPU game is some noteworthy accomplishment.

I do belive it comes from the german word uber allies meaning above all others. but if any one were to fit that bill it would be FOH. oh and for you idiots that say, never heard of them, look at about 60% of the guild tages from equipment here. that's right the large FOH stands for Fires of Heaven

FoH cant hold a candle to Prexus's KTF... This dragon is a *****, 3-4 group could probably take him out (well-balanced, 60ish lvl). Try waking Sleeper, and getting him to about 10-20% hps before the rest of your melees finally kick the bucked... we were really close on that one :\

Not true about FoH
# Oct 22 2001 at 10:36 AM Rating: Default
Ummm... if someone said that FoH can't do him, they're highly mistaken. There are over 30 guilds who can easily do this dragon.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 06 2001 at 9:54 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Personally. I think FoH is overrated. There are plenty of other guilds that could anything just as good as them. FoH is on my server(Veeshan) and everytime i hear something about them, i hear about how much of haughty jerks they are. I can't say what i think about them but i just think theyre annoying...they abuse their power.
