She's actually a Cleric/Shaman and they have her loot table messed up. She drops the Shard of Night, not Darkness. Shard is SK only dagger and stats are 21/24 with some other junk, but it looks like a regular dagger unfortunatley.

As the king is 65 and we dropped him like a bad habit, I have a hard time believing that the queen is only 62. I was only 54 last time we did her, and that bish's AoE isn't damage guys ... it's like an AoE DT. I was behind her when she hit me with it once, so it's not just the 180 degree radius in the direction she's facing.

Her AoE IS a very fast fire DoT damage. Trust me on this, I got hit with it 5 times(good cleric :P) before going down.

Yes it is possible to stay out of her AoE, couple members of the guild was able to. This AoE does much more than 800 damage btw. Had 1600 hp when she was pulled, all I saw was
Queen Velazul Di'Zok begins to cast a spell
Pain and Suffering try to strike YOU but miss.
You died.

Never saw any damage, never hit by anything else.

Well, the queen is killed a lot now, she is not a mob that large guilds have much of a prob with anymore. My guild took her the other night, and one of our warriors got the blade for his epic =). It is an uncommon drop, so if you see like three warrior epics on your server, then the queen has probably been killed about 9 times. But now like 50 warriors on each server have their epics. There are many in my guild that have one, well, at least 3 or 4. Solusek Ro has some power guilds though, like Paradigm and Midnight, and many others that kill queen all the time, sooooo.....

Remember back in days before Kunark how way to kill Innoruuk was to have clerics nuke instead of healing because his mr like 0, but fire and cold very high? Well queen is same, she has no mr whatsoever, best way to do her is send in mage fire pets(they fully resist her ae) AND hp gear/buffed melee(her fire ae is lure based so your fr don't do @#%$). Have all warriors/rogues/monks do damage dealing disciplines, only damage you gonna take is from ae, her melee is a joke. Have all clerics/enchanters/wizards/mages do magic based nukes from door(ae don't reach), she only has 18khp, and if you time it right, should fall in 20 sec before able to realy do damage to you.

Usualy if done right you will kill with 0-3 deaths, her ae does about 800 dmg so most should be able to take 3-4 ae waves, she ae about every 10 sec, and that is why i said to kill her in 30sec or less.

her AoE fire lure spell is not 800 damage it's 1600 damage. I had 4200 hp and died in 10 seconds. She is not a cake walk.

she dropped last night on 7th hammer...she hits hard (350 melee) and her AoE is ruthless. We hit her with a full assault (6 mage pets, and a buncha warriors), nuked at 50%, and she was dead in 30-40 seconds. that was our 3rd try on her. dropped helm and blade.

Any one got info like how hard she hit and how many hps shes got? the ammount of damage that the aoe does would be nice too.

On Cazic-thule she has been killed at LEAST 3 times. I have come across three different warriors in ecomm wielding their epic weapons.

We made an attempt on her last night after a 10 hour clearing of the mobs in the Herbalist room, Library, and King room (several CR's) . We started by clearing a few mobs from the queen room. Since we only had 1-2 mages, we decided to just charge her in hopes of doing enough damage fast enough to kill her before she AOE'd too much. Unfortunately, her AOE spell killed many of us too fast to do the dmg. We got her to 50% before the entire raiding party was destroyed.

We considered a backup strategy of useing a cleric, paladin, or necro with divine aura to absorb the first wave of the AOE. Then everyone charge her. Maybe next time....

The technique would be to have 4+ mages send in fire pets. At the same time have one tank charge with the pets, to keep the aggro. After each wave of the AE song, have one more tank charge in, (15-20 second intervals) Most tanks can probably survive 2-3 waves of the flame song (fully HP Buffed) They will be tere to keep the aggro off the mages, while the fire pets do the work.

At 30% health the casters will let loose all thier nuking fury.

When she gets to 20% health clerics/enchanters will move in and chain stun for all they are worth.

Assuming 8-10 tanks, thats about 4-5 minutes of having the fire pets gnash on the queen, plus a lot of nukage/ stunnage. May be doable. If shes like the king, she wont aggro too hard on the mages.

What do you all think?

As far as I know it has only dropped once on prexus, and I've never heard of it droping anywhere else. Anyone hear of it dropping elsewhere? Perhaps it is just ultra rare, I know the queen isn't killed a whole lot.

We will be camping her for her spawn time is 2 hours she has a NASTY AE. She also drops the Incarnadine Helm Stats are 19ac 5int 5agil.

GL killin her.

ps it takes quite a few lvl 58+ to do this also.

Her AE kills ANYONE almost instantly. FlamesongofRo or something like that, it's a fast fire based DoT that is almost irristable and rips though one's lifebar rather quickly. She has fewer hitpoints than the king though, so nuking is crucial. Basicly tanks just have very little staying power against her. Fire pets last longer though...

AS far as i know, shes badass. There are times when she spawns holding a dagger. So shes rumored to hold a rogue weapon, maybe the illusive Blader katar? <Shrug> Some guild got her real low on health, but the problem is the room starts spawning on you, and before you can get her all her friends get you =P
