Tattered ScrollSaw a couple guys camping him... a wizard de and a sk. They were in the hall b4 the stalls and every once in a while the sk would flush out the whole room, and another and pull em into the hall. Wizard go AE boom, all burynai go splat, and no pop. They did that for hours, and no pop. Just a theory tho.
I don't know... seeing someone take down up to 20+ burynai and some lesser char/icebones at the same time kinda convinced me.

A guild mate and I camped the jester for a week straight and he finally spawned (w. IBC) then he spawned again maybe 20 minutes later (w/o IBC). We camped him again for approx. 5 days and nothin. To say he is a rare spawn in an understatement. He is exceptionally random. There are a lot of theories on how to make the jester pop... none of them seem to be accurate and are probably pipe-dreams. All I can say is that this club rocks for players in their 20's and 30's! I'll also say that if you are not a patient player... don't even bother... this is one of THE most frustrating camps around... for the patient... it is well worth the pay off.

I got him too. Nov 2, I got him at 7:30pm (PDT). Wow, could not believe it. He does exsist. I was killing a Thick bone, when I went back to the stalls, and there he was walking down the hall!
So he is still alive, don't know how many times he spawns, but I have been looking for him for 3weeks now. Not untill today, did I see him.

He does show up in room (or just outside) in stables where there is a tunnel leading to a hole (Drop is about 140 - 160 dmg)I got the dmg from watching other people as I am a monk and take none. I just got the Iksar berserker club. Any shamans want to trade me for Master Wu's trance stick, I'm SCREEN in the Vallos Zek server. 7/18 +4 str +4 wis -2 int. and it has a neat spell (raging fury I believe it was called) that adds +15 str and +20 dex that lasts for about 20 sec. and seems to go off about every 2 min. the wt is 8. Someone else got the note (I was grouped) so I don't know what that is about. I have also killed the cook, but only got the Hollow Skull (Sometime the roll works for you, sometime against) If someone knows what this 4-slot Lore item is for, please tell me. P.S. anyone wanting a pretty good shield should be camping the cook.

I have been at the spot for more than 5days, total of 20+ hours, and have not seen him!
Perhaps it is gone. All of the other mobs are there, cook, forager, fingered, etc.

He still spawns. He spawned for us last night, after a two hour wait. No club though. One of our guild members got the club off him after two spawns about two weeks ago. So, he DOES spawn, and he still drops the club as his rare loot.
He spawns in the basement at about location 150, 150. This is the location pointed to by the map at EQAtlas.com (It's the room with hole in back which leads to a pit).

he spawns at top of the stairs and roams the hallway to where the forager and such and may go in rooms and he does have ph's just kill everything you see that moves that should spawn him but he is super rare got a club 2 weeks ago neva seen another since been offered 20k on Quellious server....i dunno wtf they talking about by saying the ph is anywhere in zone cause well when i made him spawn sure as hell was nobody in zone also i dont se a spot to describ where cook spawns well he could be random but i have killed everything near finger skellie spawn and he spawned in the area him and thick boned could be random spawns....8) this should clear up all the crap that ppl are saying

Bah he does not spawn at the top of the stairs, I have seen him spawn twice, back to back, though no club, just FS weapon. As to location of the spawn, both the times I saw him spawn was back in the first set of rooms, before the room with hole in wall for drop down to area under the tower. Both times he spawned in the hall wall.
Kill everything that wanders and clean those rooms out for a chance of getting him to spawn.

What stairs are you talking about? There are many stairs. Do you mean the stairs near the stalls? Or the stairs to the first floor?

The fact of the matter is, he doesn't go anywhere NEAR the stairs. I too have camped him on Quell (who're you? :P), and after getting my second club, it's extremely apparent that the ONLY place he wanders is back and forth along the two hallways with siderooms (not the stables, where the Cook spawns). One can handle the spawn with minimal effort by simply sitting at the junction of the two hallways and waiting for the spawning wanderers to walk by and agro on them.
Or you could wander around and kill everything in sight. It won't help increase the chances of a jester spawn, but you might net a Solist's Icy Wand or Burynai Hide Boots, just the same. I did.

I got the iksar club a few days ago....it still drops. I killed him once more yesterday I think and he dropped FS 2h, so I'm hoping to get another Club. the stats aren't just 7atk 18dly 4str 4wis -2int, but it also has the effect of fleeting fury, which is a 15str 20dex buff. It is a VERY nice proc. Worth around 10 to 15k.

Addition to the stats on the Club....some have complained of the weight of 8 on the club. But the effect also has stamina recovery on it!! Not only does fleeting fury give 15str 20dex, but it also gives 6ac and gives stamina back.....for 18 secs! So the proc is better than I previosly thought, and I wanted to add this to let you all know!

I know on my server it costs about 9-10 k to get one of these, thats on Druzzil Ro, a cheap server relatively. On mith marr server, it goes for about the same I think, I've seen them auctioned there in the past.

No one will post the LOC of the spawn. Certainly I won't. It took me 30+ hours to get this ultra rare weapon, and I'm not going to make it easy for anyone to just waltz right in and sit down right on the spawn spot and wait.
I do want to quash some rumors though. The Jester ALWAYS spawns in the same place, and so does his placeholder. You DO NOT have to do any weird ********* no killing stuff on the upper floors, no running around the hallways killing far away stuff, no clearing the whole floor, nothing. You can sit on his spawn spot, be the ONLY person in the tower, and just keep killing his placeholder over and over (15 min spawn) until the Jester pops. I saw the Jester pop five times. Got club for me, guildmate, let one rot because another guildmate couldn't get there in time (sigh), and two Jesters only had the fs 2h.
I heard rumors that Verant will be adjusting loot tables in some dungeons to bring the item more in line with level of mob. If the IBC doesn't sound like a 'loot table adjustment' nerf candidate then I don't know what does, but I can confirm that as of Sep 11, the IBC still drops.

It's not 3 feet off, it's out of that room and around the corner. I've seen plenty of people sitting in that room for the longest time so I wanted to point that out.

The undead jester spawns in the hallway with the the stable with the hole in the wall. This IS A FACT. 100%. Anyone who says different has absolutely no idea what the hell they are talking about. So YES..it basically does spawn a few feet from the room w/ the hole. Its place holders are lesser charbone, lesser icebone, greater scalebone, and usually the thick boned skelly.

im a lvl 20 monk and he was green and as easy to kill as a scalebone skeleton. the only difference is he hits harder because of the FS sword.

I'll confirm that 18-21 is a bit high. I soloed him after he somehow came upstairs and attacked me along the back wall of the entry level. He was middle blue at 18, so I'd guess he was 15.
He dropped a fine steel 2H sword and a note of some sort.

OK, I have seen several people posting they have successfully camped the jester spawn, but their post is always missing one detail.

All the maps that I have seen have the spawn point inacurate, he spawns at the very end of all the stables and Immediatly begins to wander the hall. Since he looks like all the other skells that pop down there I guess it was hard to spot the spawn point. But this time he popped right in front of me. My suggestion is to leave the stables alone and just kill the wandering spawn down that hall. Also it seems to help if you leave a Thick Boned skel in the cooks spot.

Frotteurist...I don't see how you can prove that his PH is a random creature in the tower. Everything is speculation. In fact, the only thing we really know to be true is that rare spawns are rare because they pop on an extremely low percent chance (and the only reason I say that we KNOW that is because Verant has issued a server-wide msg saying so.)
I've camped the Jester for 20+ hours. In the first 19 he popped once. In the 20th hour, he popped twice in a row. Each time he spawned in the same spot while I was clearing the same areas. Oddly enough...the Burynai Forager, which is known to wander the stables as well, has only popped once in my 20+ hour stay in the tower. *shrugs*
The only statement I'd make would be to say that he spawns very rarely (maybe 3% of the time) Saying much else is just blowing smoke up everyone's a$$.
