Ok, i spent 3 days collecting fingers for my monk's shackle quest and also getting skeleton feet for my dreadscale boots. here's what i came up with.

- He spawns once a day (well i think so cuz after his first spawn i kept doing the cycle and he never spawned again till the next day)

- You have to kill 2 thick boned, one fingered and the cook to make him pop. He spawns close to 20 minutes after the cook's fall.

- He drops the IBC about 1 out of every 10 times.

These are my suggestions after sitting in that area for 3 straight days and going through 3 of him (no IBC, what a *****). it's very dangerous down there due to the shadow knight and necromancer furbies who just **** the hell out of you because oftheir harm touch, heat blood and engulfing darkness. If you need any help camping him, here's my stuff...

Of course, the day that i pull my monk out of the basement to go do something more productive, (after 40 hours i was determined to actually kill something other that burynai and skeletons), the jester pops, with the club, and another monk friend got it. If there is any justice in norrath a set of knuckle dusters will appear on my character in repayment for the hours and hours and hours of boredom.

The spawn is long, yes, but it is harder when there's about 5 people down there and when you find the Placeholder someone steals the kill, now if they only had something to mark his spot, or make him stay in one place atleast!

going on 30 hours on this guy, i'm becoming quite the fixture in kurns (erollisi marr), i've even had food delivered (who ordered the worm meal?) add another three warhammers and one more dead jester (still no club). at least i've dinged 22....and 23....and worked halfway through 24....
the low level characters seem to like me, as i keep handing out the burynai masks that the fingered skeleton drops. the jester has got to have a trigger somewhere, sometimes his PH is like clockwork, other times he just won't show up for a few hours, it's weird, tried just about everything but clicking my heels together and saying "there's no club like the IBC, there's no club....". hmm maybe i'll sleep tonight. more info as the camp develops.

I noticed you didnt do a follow up. Did you finally get the club? If you happenned to see any of my posts, you'll know that im at 30+ hours on Erollsi Marr as well. Hmm.

no, i eventually gave up. even quit playing for 4 months, it sucked all the fun out of it, now i'm back playing with a much better attitude, i just want to have fun now, even if i have to do it with no weapons and comletely armorless.

I've been in kurns hunting the fingered skeleton for my monk quest for about 2 weeks now, since the fingered and the jester spawn in the same general area, i thought i'd look for both. well, 4 fingers, 17 scimitars, 15 warhammers and 7 burynai masks later, i still have only seen one jester (just a fs two hander and a scroll on him) What a frustrating little bugger. At least my Fiegn death has gone up like 20 pts (all the friggen burynai)

After just finishing up camping the jester for around 20 hours (yes my luck was horrible), and finally getting my club, here is what I observed:
The Jester can spawn in one of 4 places, the first stable hallway, the alcove between the two stable hallways, in front of the room known as the jester's room (the room with the hole in the wall in back), and at the far end of the second stable hallway. I had tried just about everything to make him spawn, including massacring everything in the imediate area(s), but the method of camping him that seemed to work best was that of just killing the wandering mobs (there are 4 or 5 of them), this got him to spawn twice in two hours and thankfully he had the club the second time. So those are my observations after about 20 hours of camping, hope this helps.

Not sure what I'm doing but I'm doing it right. 4 Jesters. 2 clubs. grand total of 3 hours. I've never actually seen him pop, he always walks up behind me when I am clearing the cook's room, or the 6 room hallway around the corner from where he's marked at on EQatlas. Keep losing the rolls for the thing tho, I'm hoping my luck holds out til I get one myself.

There is some funny stuff flying around in these posts and a lot of good peeps haven't had their questions answered... hope this helps. (I have camped and gotten the club, you can trust me)
1) The jester spawns in the stables, where eqatlas says he does
2) The thick boned skeleton is a placeholder for him, as well as a placeholder for the cook and fingered skeles
3) I can understand why his spawn is insane, the club is a friggin' steam piston... its delay is under 20 and it deals good damage as well as procing fleeting fury... If I worked at Verant I would have made his spawn crazy as well...
4) I am not unsympathetic to all you unlucky peeps however, before I finally got the club, I was once grouped with a monk who told me that he had gotten two: sold one in EC and gave the other to his SK... and yes, at that moment I wished that I was on a PK server so that I could smack the hell out of him

I wish you luck if you are still trying to get the club...

4-1-01 tunare tellvin 46pally got really lucky, passing through omw to CoM and said what the heck. Went to hole with pit to lowest level and he wasnt there, started towards the stable with the cook and woot, there he is club in hand.Id prolly spent 10 hours camping jester and cook on other days. I started camping him a week ago or so and he spawned for me 3 times, 1 club, 2 FD 2handers and notes, I knows the areas I seen him spawn, others are reporting differently, I usually just kill everything in the area for somethin to do and collect loot. killed umpteen thousand turdballs, no icy wand. Found every kind of burynai armor and ruined scale stuff as well, tons of FS weapons from placeholders. its just a roll of the dice if you ask me, I have tried different things that other ppl suggest, and it doesnt matter what your teqnique is, you will still need to kill the wandering mobs in the hallways to make room for the jester.

A 39 monk of mine has been camping the bugger for over a week now ;p no sign of spawn....I log off for 30 mins and jester spawns with club and somenecro gets it! I'm gonna have to play NON-STOP if i wanna get this club!

This is a very rare spawn sometime it pops in eight hours but other times it takes longer if something else pops instead you will have around an hour longer to wait.
I was camping this on rodcet on the 20th from 11:00pm 19th-10:30am on the 20th and it popped 2x and didnt have the club either time....( just a FS 2hander and the scroll. Anyway if I was the necro you were talking about you'll be glad to know I didnt get it either.

I have twice camped the Jester. The first time we were actually waiting for some friends to come on so we could go hunt giants. Someone came up with the idea to camp the Jester til they got on. I was inthe basement for less than 20 minutes. My friends had been there less then an hour. We were fighting a skeleton around the corner from the room with the hole in the wall and the jester walked around the corner, club in hand and jumped into the fight. The second time I camped him was for myself and it was a 13 hour run without a single sighting. He seems to have no rhyme or reason to his timing. Just hope to be in the right place at the right time.

My RL bro n' I camped this guy for 5 hours the other night and he never popped once. We cleared out the entire floor several times in a vain attempt to get him to spawn and nothing.
I'm through with Kurns. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a SPECIFIC PH to look for.
Having the placeholder be any wandering spawn in the ENTIRE TOWER makes camping this guy a VERY BORING, VERY LONG, and VERY FRUSTRATING ordeal.

Undead will aggro on you. It's a good portion undead (skeletons of various sorts), and the bury's most likely touch you.

at 28 I walked down there with invis undead on my and the high conning green burynai sappers where the only ones i aggroed and only when i got really close to em, however my once i made a pet it aggroed just about everything :)

I decided to finally test my luck and go camp the jester. I knew where he spawned and i was sitting in the "hole room." 5 minutes after sitting there. . I was just getting comfortable. . . He walks to the entry and stops. I immediatlly got up and killed him with ease. He had the club too!!! I went to EC and traded it for Knuckledusters. Now Im one bad monk. . .

ok, i've been camping this boney piece of crap for 7 days about 6-10 hrs a day with NO and i repeat NO luck whatsoever. i would like to think he spawns at the point on the eqatlas map but i'm starting to think otherwise. i don't want this weapon to sell i want it to use. i'm a 33 shaman on bertoxxulous i also have a life outside of eq i can't possibly keep wasting my time on something that takes more than a freaking week to spawn. whoever thought of the spawn time for this jester is a sick individual(seek help). i'm going to keep trying because i do possess patience which i believe will reward me in the end. and to all who have posted mis-information i hopesomething really horrible happens to you or someone close to you. i just wanna get on with my life....thank you

Dude the thing spawns whenever the PH is killed there is no spawn time on it. Maybe instead of wasting your time camping him you should do some research....then go back and try again!

Ok I am no Guru, but i have camped the Jester extensivley. I have killed the sucker 4 times. I have only gotten the club once. I have camped him at least 100 hours, I know i am crazy. From my personal experiance I have seen him spawn in both hallways with rooms on both sides and he wanders those two halls. From what i can tell The thickbones are the placeholder and are rare spawn themselves. The thickbone is also a placeholder for the cook in the stables. The spawn is so random you can kill everything down there for 10 hours and never see the Jester trust me.

To say this item is rare is an understatement. It drops on average about once a month. The jester is a rare spawn, about once a week on average. The club is his rare drop. The whole purpose of it's existence is either reward lucky folks for "doing" the dungeon, or punish stupid people with hideously long camps.

I was camping the Undead Jester When The Servers came back up from the Exp. Patch and he spawned an hour after they came back online, He did not spawn in the room with the hole in it, But he did spawn in the corridor by the Big room containing the stable rooms, Got Extremely lucky too, He dropped the Iksar Beserker club,Awesome weapon.

WELL, I have been playing EQ for only 6months and Kurns is the first place ive been to Quest!! Probably about 140 hours... Ive seen the Jester 7 times and got the IBC 5 times and carry it on 2 char gave 1 too friend and traded 2 for alot of items, there is more then 1 PH for him... and the Thick Bone replaces the spawns of Jester, Cook and Finger (not a PH)

It is imposible to get the jester to spawn if other ppl are hunting in the zone.... killing your MOBS which is what makes him take so long to spawn ( 1 MOB dead and you start again) It can take a hell of a long time to setup the jester if undesturbed!!! (depending on certain things that are performed within a specific area)

this data has cost me alot of time, so I really am not ready to give out the massive amount of data I have collected on Kurns Tower!!! I think the Info is worth more then the Club itself!!!

You will never get the true data needed to solve the jester... unless you spend the time there for yourself, nobody that really knows will want to spill there guts!!

It is not a burynai placeholder or anything, but it DOES drop the freakin awesome club mentioned above....7 dmg, 1.7 delay or so, procs fleeting fury. If you are trying to camp it, have patience, the jester is a rare spawn.

Well after about 24 hours in Kurn's Tower, I finally saw the Jester! We rushed over and killed him and got a FINE STEEL 2H Sword for our troubles.

We leveled the whole dungeon. We had a druid with EARTHQUAKE just destroying everything. We would train MOBS to the druid, he would earthquake, they would die.. repeat

Even with all this the Jester did not spawn. Also, worth noting, when he did spawn there was no one upstairs. We were the only people in the zone.
