I camped this guy for my SK many years ago. I remember staying in Kurn's for days and days killing everything in sight before the jester finally popped with the club. I recently started a shaman to level up and box with my SK. I found that decent weapons for a low level shaman were scarce, then I remembered the IBC. Coincidentally, I just happened to be levelling the shaman in Kurn's Tower, killing the skeletons at the zone in. I logged my SK on and ran him to Kurn's. I zoned in, thinking he would be in Kurn's basement for some time until I got the club. I ran down the stairs, down the hall, down the second set of stairs to the basement and the first mob I see after the burnyais is the jester holding a club. Shortest...camp...ever. At least for me. Ran back upstairs and gave the shaman the club before she had even medded up to full mana.
Confirm just killed this guy, he spawned back to back for me first time he had sword in his had so no club. Second spawn he dropped Club on Vulek progression. I feel I was pretty fortunate, as I have newbie quest weapon as an iksar sk. He spawns in stables area and roams the hall just keep the ones that roam killed and he will pop. Getting the club on the other had you just need to be lucky or persistent.
Hope this helps level 20 sk Iksaar

a few hours later last spawn for me before i go to bed 11pm tiredm, he poped with club graphic and sure enough he had it my classic eq druid was very happy /dance /cheer
i train all my characters here never seen him friend said he saw him, theres alot of posted things on this lol.... would like to know loc. of spawn please.....
I have camped every part of Kurns for years and I have never once seen this guy. I think this is some kind of conspiracy put out by inter-nerds to get some laughs. This cat is NOT REAL.
That guide below is fine. But the only placeholder is really the Thicked Bones Skeleton. As I never saw the thicked bone and the jester at the same time. Another good point from getting the iksar berserker club: The delay is pretty good and it is very usefull to increase 1h blunt skill and/or dual wield. And it is worth at least 500 plats.
i was trying to make a score decent all my damn comments are frikkin default =(

i have both a rouge and a shaman... i have never lost a duel or been killed in pvp by a warrior... i always pwn them with full health with my rouge and simply lock them in place with earthbind and frost shock... then lightning bolt with my shaman... easy
If you were to see the club rotting dont let it rot loot it because you can use it for an alternative character if u dont want to then use for yourself if you dont have a good weapon or sell it

I killed this guy about 3 times over the course of a week. I was killing everything in sight trying to make the "A Fingered Skeleton" spawn for the monk shackle quest.
And, if you are too an iksar monk... and have done this quest... You have more than likely camped him twice, since the mob in Seb eats our shackle of tynnonium. This is ultimately for the whistling fists.
The jester dropped the club all 3 times. 2 rot.

as per last night, Feb 21, the club dropped in Kurns Tower. took me 3 hours and 3 Undead Jesters/7 thick boned skellies/some twenty skellies. you can actually see, when he holds the Club instead of some FS 2H weapon
also, the spawn info/guide from Carnix (see below) is correct.
good luck #

Been camping him for awhile and although im not positive it seems that he spawns in the north-south bend in that little "L" and i think his PH is the thick boned skeleton. So far killed the jester 5 times in 2 days and still no IBC. Hope this helps alittle

This is a re-post from the Iksar Berserker Club thread:
Ok, I made this post way back when but now I can't find it so I wanted to re-post the info so that way it would be at the top.
There is a lot of misinformation and speculation on how to acquire the club, but I will give you the 100% sure-fire way on how to hunt for the Undead Jester.
First of all, I would like to say I have spent many, many, many hours in Kurn's, and know every little corner of that tower. I have hunted every mob in the place and killed them all repeatedly. I have acquired many Berserker Clubs, enough to equip and to make a tidy profit (back when the club was the bling-bling). Anyway, here's the scoop:
This map claims that the Jester spawns at location marked 1. This is incorrect (but close).
The Jester is a walker. He will never pop as a stationary spawn. He will never pop inside one of the rooms in the "Stable".
Jester placeholders:
Since the Jester is a walker, you need to kill all the other walkers in a specific area. This area is the L-shaped hallway that runs through both of the Stable areas.
To be exact, look at the map and locate number 3. The Jester route begins just northwest of number 3, right before you enter the first Stable area. He then walks north (past #2), makes a left turn where the hallway turns west, then walks to the end of the hallway, turns around, and walks back.
The very best spot to camp the Jester is just north of #2, in the corner, facing southwest so you can see both ends of the hallway. While you wait there, eliminate any walking mob that comes into your corner. You can safely ignore any mob that walks in and out of any of the Stable rooms. The Jester placeholders are only those mobs that walk the entire length of the L-shaped hallway.
The picture of the Undead Jester in the Bestiary ( http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=4974) was sent in by me. If you look closely, you can see that I am in that corner, facing southwest, and I am fighting the Jester that has aggroed on me.
Most placeholders will be regular skels or burynai, but sometimes you will see the Burynai Forager or other named skels. Some drop loot, some drop quest items, and most drop Fine Steel.
Nothing you do will have any impact on popping the Jester besides clearing the walking mobs in the corner of the L-shaped hallway in the middle of the Stables.
Most Jester pops do not result in the club, but will instead annoy you with Fine Steel. Have patience, keep clearing the walkers, and you will get one eventually.
I wish all the best of luck, and hope my information helped.
I used your tried and proven method today to spawn the Undead Jester. After 3 spawns I did not get the Iksar Berserker Club, however, I chalk that up to luck and drop rate. I will be back, and now I know how to get the Jester at will, thanks for the excellent post.
just killed this guy with my 55 sk for club for my bst well he does not spawn at number one on the kurn map but in truth spawns at number 2 on the map i ran around cleared the entire floor so i would be sure he would pop took about 15 min hope this helps for any one that wants to kill him
Im camping him right now infact....umm....what do i do to force spawn him? kill crusader, finger, and TB? or is ther something else...been 2 hrs now no sign, killed the TB and crusader about a dozen times each
Made him spawn a few times (3?; third time had club); only placeholder I concentrated was the thick boned skele.
Thick boned on a 20min-ish timer. Jester pops up about 1 in 15 times or so (maybe 1 in 20). Note: even tho the thickboned is a placeholder; they (the jester and thickboned) don't spawn in exactly the same place. Camping out in the area designated by eqatas will let you see him when he does pop tho.
Since a patch not too long ago, the Jester now spawns much more frequently. Also, the quest revolving around Mirgon Dower's head has changed quite a bit.

Forgive me if i sound newbish, but isn't the weight of this club make it veeery undesireable for a monk? Now, i have a 51 sk and just recently started a lizzy monk(twinked with acrylia reinforced, CoT and VWM and PSUand a bag of the sewn evileye)and my weight is 13. I know this may be a bit high for a monk, but the acrylia is nice and lite(sorta) and the stats freakin rock. But 8stone for a club? Even with the effect? Or am i looking at it the wrong way? any info pls...
Braxar Soulseether Shadowknight of the 51 apocolypse
This took alot shorter than I thought it would. three hours one day (nothing) like 14 the second (popped once w/ out club when i took an hour off) and third day he popped like 45 min before i had to get off. From what ive heard, T-bone is PH for itself, cook, finger, and jester, and i killed him like 8 times during my camp. Its just luck which one it decides to pop next... though i dont rember killing t-bone right before jester, i did like an hour before, and the time he popped while i was one i killed t-bone thrice in ten minutes just before that. Jester was greenie to my 28 monk, easy kill.

Ok, camped the Undead Jester last night. Killed all his place holders, dropped every mob in the basement like a bad habit. I am gonna flush him out sometime. Come out, come out where ever you are Jester.
That would be the fingered skeleton, if you're talking about the gut that drops the fingers for the Shackle of Rock quest. He's down here too, thick boned skeleton is his place holder. Not too far from this guy, actually, usually shows up in the hallway just to the south of this guy.

i just got him today. i had to camp him for like a week. i played all day with friends helping me. i fought him 4 times and he didnt have the club, but today i just fought him and he had a club in his hand. i killed him and looted the club. my advice to you guys who wants the club is to clear out all the mobs and he will spawn very quick. that is how i did it. take my advice, you will find him very easy
LOL! I was in kurns helping my friend get his corpse when I turn a corner and invis vs undead drops...right away I get attacked by two skelly's, one of them being and Undead Jester. I killed him first (He never hit me once) then the other. I looted the club and gave it to my monk that was already twinked up the arse with a Wu's Trance Stick, Polished Steel Ulak, and a Tranquil Staff. It procs alot too.
I'm not really adding any information here to help you, just saying that I am a lucky SoB.

I have soloed this guy 3 times with my lvl 11 iksar monk (fungi tunic and unbuffed 700hp dont hurt at all =P), all 3 times he spawned near the cook in the hallway, first time he had club, 2nd time nothing, and 3rd time he had it again (grats to lucky newbie, only one in zone)
Only thing i have learned is if your camping the cook, visit all the areas around it looking for jester OR thick boned skeleton - thick boned may be his placeholder
I finally found him the other night as I was camping the Cook. After long hours, off and on, he randomly spawned at the end of his hall. Bastard only had the scroll and fine steel. What a cheap mob. Oh well, at least I saw him. Good luck all. Long camp, but worth it if you get to see him. Nevermind the club...
#Anonymous,
Posted:Apr 20 2002 at 2:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) my main is a lvl 28 iksar monk and im probably going to take him to Kurn's Tower to get this club cuz its pretty nice.
ok, i just got in kurns tower and right inside at zone to FoB. can someone give me directions on how to get to him and does it involve jumping that trap in saw in the basement? lvl 29 shaman looking for that dam Jester
All right, i just want a little info. Could my midgetized 21 dorf warrior take this guy? I dont really care about the hours, im kinda twinked, got a Centi SS in melee 1 and a washiski of the frozen skies in my offhand (didnt really know how to spell the name of the frozen skies one) I got mostly crafted and some other pretty good stuff, thanks for your help.
Okay I have put over 55 hours on a jester camp so far. I have gained 5 levels in the act and have at least 2 more dings in me down there. In all the time I have been down there I have only seen the Jester twice. He popped with fine steel each time. However for those who complain this camp is unreasonable try this. In the past two days I have made over 500pp in the area and this is my only char in everquest and prior to this char I never played on EQ. Because I have been down there so long I have killed the fingers skellies many many time. I get the full set of 4 and most monks will pay the 50 plat to not have to camp for up to and probably more than 10 hours to get the set. Have had players pay me 50pp for the finger they cant get. This camp can make a good profit if you dont go there when you can no longer get exp.
Bah, monks that are twinked by another character may pay for quest items. My monk is my main and first character, and I could rarely afford to buy quest items. I camped the four fingers the hard way. Actually got assistance from someone down there camping the jester... since me killing stuff down there helped the jester spawn faster, it was to out mutul benefit. Heck, even at my level, I'm still poor, and will go to the source or do quests to get items... I'd much rather get in a frenzy camp in LGuk than try to save up the money for an FBSS. I even went after Najena herself for a FBR to give to my necro rather than buying one. Why should I spend 100pp, when in the course of going after Najena, I can make that much in the junk I collect, plus get nice items to twink my necro? Patience is a virtue for the poor and non-twinked.

well ill tell ya 1 thing he spawns at thye top of Kurns i cant solo him but i have went in a group his spawn time is up to 2 hours up the very top of Kurns Cithaazz lvl 18 monk PvP Vallon zek Guild: Dragonsaber Army Current location:East commonlands Race:IKSAR receant kills:ORCS
WOOT, This is a great camp for a lvl 17 and a partner. Me and my RL Bro would camp this guy all day at lvl 17, great exp for lvl 17, all blues, whites and yellows, and the Jester is yellow and Red to us. I am a Uber Twinked Iskar Monk, 2 CoT's, CCS, and Wu, and some sweet other gear. My brother is also Uber Twinked, a ISkar War, he has lots of good armor, some of the lvl 25 and 45 ISK WAR quest armor, and for weapons, a Sword of Skyfire and a Crystal Fiber. But anyways this camp is awsome, the Jester spawns on the second set of stalls to the right when you go down the stairs, just smoke everything in the stalls, then hit the Ferby Mine to kill Bargarin, then go back up and do stalls again, great exp and awsome loot for a lvl 17, those finesteel and bronze weapons sell fer 1pp to 10pp(2 handed Battle Axe).

I camped him for 5hours a nihgt for 2 days and couldn't not get him to pop. I killed all the things that agroed on me and alot that didn't. Does anyone know where the PH can be found and how often this guy spawns after you kill the PH.
A place holder is some mob that spawns in place of another, more important mob. When you kill the place holder (ph) it releases the spawn "slot" and allows either another ph to spawn, or the more important mob to spawn
wut lvl is he?i'm currently a 16 sk ( almost 17) and would like to know wut lvl i can camp him for the XP ( not really club). heak, this stuff goes for 200-500 i suppose anymore. what lvl can an iksar sk solo this place? mayB with a partner ( shammy). ? ? ? thx in advance.
Woke up at about 8AM CST this morning, and decided to camp the jester. By 8:30 I was down in the stables with the tunnel to the burynai tunnels killing EVERYTHING in their stable. In the one that does spawn the jester I found the forager at about 12-1 o'clock and the thick boned (Wondering why the hell he was in that hall) about 5 mins after. I stayed till about 3, killing every PH I saw and couldnt find him. Needed to leave about then. In total I've camped the jester 30+ hours in 2 or 3 different sessions. At one point in time my guild had someone camping jester about 20 hours a day, with people taking different shifts, a few hours off at around 5am. We did that for about 3 or 4 days... never saw him. We came in about 2 hours after someone killed jester and got IBC. God that IBC could jumpstart my char so well.. I want it!!
