Iksar Warrior Pike Quest
# Oct 27 2013 at 8:19 PM Rating: Decent
Start doing the Pike quest to burn some time on my 85 Iksar warrior. What I've noticed about the Thick Boned Skeleton in my experience is that he has 3 spawn locations. 1st is upstairs in the dining room where the cook spawns which is semi common, but also on an hour respawn timer. This one I have only seen drop the Emerald. The second spawn is downstairs in the basement where the undead jester spawns. This one is far more common and I have only ever seen him drop the Thick Iksar Skull. The final spawn I have yet to see, but from what I've read he spawns across the stable area where the Fingered Skeleton/Cracklin Bones mobs spawn. This spawn seems to be very rare as I have been here today for a good 4 or so hours. I can only guess that after numerous kills on the other TBS mobs that the Sapphire I need for the quest is from this one, although I have seen posts here and there that people have gotten it from the TBS in the dining room.

I'll continue to kill all 3 and edit with what I find.

*About 20 minutes after I posted this TBS finally popped in the Fingered Skeleton/Cracklin Bones side of stalls. Dropped the Sapphire that I needed. In my experience, the 3 gems needed from the quest come from 3 different TBS. Upstairs drops the Emerald, jester area TBS drops the Thick Skull, and finally the Skeleton Fingers area on other side of stalls drops the Sapphire. Get ready for a long haul because so far these quests have been easy enough difficulty wise, but very hard on the time aspect.

The thick boned is the PH for the Jester and they pop and roam the same part of the basement.
All this for a slow, heavy weapon?

Killed the thickbone today, he was in the dining room, not the basement though and conned white to my 14 necro. Dropped the sapphire and some decent shoulder pads. I highly recommend camping the dining room for this guy. Much easier fighting and egress in a hurry if needed. I sometimes see the cook up there too, but have not seen the jester anywhere but the basement. Good luck!

These usually carry fine steel warhammers, but not always. And when they dont, they will drop a random piece of burynai armor.

Just killed Thick Boned Skeleton in top floor Kurn's - also dropped Words of Tyranny besides Emerald (Lore) and a FS warhammer. Dark Blue to a 15 necro so level might be off

"A Crimson Ruby lies hidden in the Skeletons head." - Bar Tender The skele drops 2 and then u must msith the other out of his head with a foraging hammer. Still haven't successfully done this,on Veeshan this guy only spawns about once every 4 or 5 hours with only his ph's dead.

Burynai heals?
# Jun 10 2001 at 8:29 PM Rating: Default
While killing one of these today, I noticed a burynai was healing it while I fought it. Obviously related to the burynai faction question.
Killed 2, got an emerald and a sapphire (lore) a FS warhammer, and the burynai shoulder pads.

Not sure exactly why. You'll notice that attacking him next to a burynai will cause the burynai to agro, and that shaman burynai will heal him if you fight him in range of their healing spells. I suppose it's likely that he's actually a pet of one of the burynai shadowknights. But like you said, almost everyone starts out KOS to burynai anyway.

I posit that it is a skeleton of a Burynai.

I have been wandering around in the basment for about a week now and haven't been able to locate him. The only leads that I've recieved are that he spawns in the hall with the jester and somewhere near the cook. Any help would be nice, becuase i need his feet for the dreadscale boots.

I have been in the hall with the cook for nearly 7 hrs now, and has seen a lot of thick bone spawns and killed em all. I have got several difrent Burynay Hide stuff
1) Burynay Hide Sleeves
2) Burynay Hide Mask
3) Burynay Hide Shoulder Pads.

They all seemed to be pretty random dropping. I got 2 legs and 2 shoulder and 2 mask in the 7 hours I think.

Warrior quest and alternate zone
# Dec 15 2000 at 7:41 PM Rating: Decent
Also found in Kurn's Tower looted the sapphire off the thick boned also the skeletal feet for the dreadscale quest and the thick iksar skull for another quest. This zone is alot easier to get the mobs because anyone over lv 24 won't get aggroed by many of the burynai and the thick boned spawns far away from most he is the PH for the fingered skel

#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 18 2000 at 4:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This guy is still alive. I saw the thick bone yesterday, 10/17/2000. I also have seen the cook, forager, and finger skeleton. The only thing I have not seen is the Jester. Anyone seen him lately?
