Before spawning him, the following message was seen in red:

The caverns shake beneath your feet, a rumble in the distance can be heard, though you're not quite sure what it is.

However, we also got the emperor on next spawn, so not entirely sure if it was for this guy or the emperor.

When mage first engaged and got agro, we got a 5 minute timer and she had a bad curse. However, after clearing and killing him it was just 30 seconds and no curse. Not sure where the curse and raid timer came from.

That message and curse are what happens when a berseker performing the Berserker Epic 1.5 quest triggers the "An Ancient Sebilite Protector" event in the zone.

The trigger spot is not too far away, X-Y-coordinate distance-wise, from the Harbinger Freglor room. The AE curses that are spawned during this event may have reached your group all the way from there, and are cast by an NPC that gives a 5 minute out-of-combat regen raid timer. It sounds like someone was in the zone and triggered the ASP event just as you pulled the Harbinger, by coincidence.

soloing
# Jul 14 2003 at 11:20 AM Rating: Decent
I am able to solo the entrance just fine. Just have some resist gear on for the casters or give yourself some resist buffs and no problems. I root and DoT non-casters. I usually just have a nuking contest with the wizards or I can root and DoT but stay out of their line of sight.
Whoever said you must have a full group here hasn't been to Seb in a very long time.

soloable?
# Jan 26 2002 at 3:38 PM Rating: Decent
can this be soloed by a druid?? if so what lvl do ya have to be?
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 28 2002 at 4:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Lol Neomancipator ....plenty of Seb is soloable...and by rangers for that matter...some of you dumb casters think that because a solo class...only reason necros get that tag btw is cuz nobody likes you or wants to group with you...not because you solo well...cant solo in a zone nobody can...well YOU ARE WRONG!!!!
RE: soloable?

The reason that necromancers are labeled as a solo class (IMHO, *the* solo class) is because we can do most of the things that are required in a group. We can heal, dot, dd, mez, root, fear, snare, tank (pet), charm (undead) and slow (undead).

No other single class can do so much, though we're no where near the best at any of those (perhaps dotting and fear, but Shamen are right up there for dots), we do hold our own in each area. When we solo we don't end up caught in a bad situation going, "oh hell, I wish I had a tank/mezzer/rooter/etc".

Personally I think we've got a little too much flexibility.

nothing in seb is soloable. you need a full group with chanter/bard and a cleric is a must. when you get to level 52 start thinking about going here.

This may have been the case a year ago, but things have changed significantly. Much of Sebilis is soloable now by Level 60+ players, especially the Level 65+ players with PoP spells nad gear.

Cane of Harmony still exists, rare as ever. =) PH is a Skeletal Harbinger, drops nothing but plat. Spectral Harbingers drop the Granite Face Grinder, btw. =) Spectrals are usually reached by heading out the back of the Crypt Freglor spawns in and charging Emperor Chottal's house.
cap
# Dec 07 2000 at 5:26 PM Rating: Default
actually, the cap from 10-19 is around 30, not 25. The actual number varies a bit based on strength and atk rating. 29-32
RE: cap
# Oct 05 2001 at 3:28 AM Rating: Excellent
strength is the only factor of how hard you can hit
attack rating just determines how much you will hit for the max/min
RE: cap
# Nov 28 2002 at 12:51 PM Rating: Default
atk is for Ur chance to hit no matther with dmg
A level 5 can't hit for 30 dmg
# Aug 13 2000 at 5:48 PM Rating: Decent
There's a cap to the dmg he can do it's capped at 21 until level 10 and 25 until 20 then it's non exisytant
they're neat!
# Aug 12 2000 at 5:26 PM Rating: Decent
I have a level 12 monk on Xegony and saw some level 5 with them near the Field of Bone. they look kind of like a half moon and hit for around 30 or so(can't remember exactly). i asked how much i could buy them for and he told me to F*** off. that wasn't very nice now was it?
RE: they're neat!
# Nov 12 2000 at 8:53 PM Rating: Default
cuz maybe he was thinking a lvl 12 monk won't have like em 8 to 10 k pp with em
Knuckle Dusters
# Aug 07 2000 at 11:39 PM Rating: Decent
I am draming of getting a pair of those
Knuckle Dusters for myself! I think that
these beat the pants off of the fighting
batons, but i havent seen anyone with these on Cazic-thule.If you have one give me a tell (i would love to see them equiped)
RE: Knuckle Dusters
# Nov 29 2000 at 12:24 PM Rating: Default
These things are pretty awesome, i hear they have the same attack dly ration as a 50 monk's hands. Personally i think they are the badest looking weopon in the game. They have sort of a horseshoe look to them when you hold them, except it looks like 2 blades, one coming from the top of the hand and the other from the bottom, and you are holdiing the weopon in the middle. I see many monks duel wielding this with a trance stick which is also an awesome weopon. Doesn't look as spiffy, but has the effect smite and a awesome attk/dly ratio as well.

actually 14/27 is what a 60 monk's fists are, not 50
