She's never been killed. Although she does mez, and mez can be overdone, her mez does 800DD... thats pretty damn hard to overcome
Veeshan is not in the friggin game.. Jeez... If you spent some time in PoA, you'll know that there ARE mobs called the hand of Veeshan or eye of Veeshan, but no Veeshan

I know... ever thought maybe that killing hands would cause veeshan to spawn?? Heard that thought before... as far as i know the hand and eye are also undefeated... i didn't even think people fought them yet ofn live servers... could be wrong tho...

The Eye of Veeshan has fallen (ironically) on the Veeshan server. Nothing spawned. The Hand is yet to fall, because anyone close to it is automatically Death Touched.
Stop the crap already geez! No one has killed Phara. There.. and people STOP saying Veeshan can't be in the game! Geez! If she is powerful enough to swipe her claws into a WHOLE planet, then I damn well think she can shrink herself into a human form to fight people goodness! I mean I swear, I'm not saying ANYONE, I don't care how many people you got or what levels they are, could kill her.. but don't say she can't be there. Anything can be in the game! For all we know at the end of the Plane of Sky, you won't find Veeshan, but instead will find the Head of Verant or something "Verant Boss" or something. Phara Dar has been killed on more than one server. Fires of Heaven on veeshan has cleared Veeshan's Peak and killed all of the dragons.

when your mezzed once you take damage it breaks. so... everyone duel a druid or ranger and have them cast there weakest dot on you called flame lick. it does like 10damage in 30seconds so it doesnt hurt you and then just kill phara dar and the dot will keep you from not being mezzed. so shes not impossible just harder then the others

Dude its a simple thing to just duel a shaman or druid and have them cast some cheesball DoT and it cancels out Mez.

I would bet my eboots that it is not a mez like players use. I bet it will just be a 30 second stun, so damage does not break it. Verant isn't that stupid.

Agreed. Scheesh - it's all two full groups of mid-level 50s can do to take out Renux (NPC in Rogue's Ragebringer quest) in 3 minutes. She's nowhere near Phara Dar's level of power...

when you duel a chanter.... you get magic saves.. which means if your magic resist is high he cant mez you

Might I remind you, mez is not magic based...it is Charisma based...you can have 32k magic resistance and a chanter with high charisma will still mez you and laugh at you for your futile effort...

I (Being the tank with many of the bests buffs in the game) slayed him. What I needed was a level 50-60 druid, enchanter, and a few clerics to aid me and the other tanks, and a whole lot of wizards and necros to attack from far with their pets and their best spells. It WAS possible, very tough... But the glory was amazing. There was absolutely no loot on him... after all that hard work. Damn.

I was walking thro Guk and i saw a bard in full rubicite and breath of harmony. i wanted to know what breath of harmony was so i did further research.i ofund out thta Breath of Harmoney is the un common drop from Phara Dar and Frozen Zweilender is hte rare one. i thought it was pretty sweet to. and the bard was only lvl 32 so that means it is not no drop. so you twink a bard wiht it. o the stats on FZ is 39/47 and breath of harmoney is 10/18

Just a thought... regeneration could theoretically be set very, very high for some creatures, like Old Phara. The nice little dragon would start off with a top-of-the-line troll-quality regen rate and then carry chloroplast and others too. Considering the other dangers that she(?) carries, this could add very substantially to the maximum number of hitpoints that the beast carries, e.g. seventy thousand drained by the end of the battle instead of thirty-two thousand. Something Verant might want to think about when they come up with the new Claws of Veeshan dragons, too. Have fun, and please try to start discussing the DRAGON again instead of religion and other fun stuff. I know we all want to, but it is not good for our health!

He drops a Claw of Phara Dar. Fairly nice stats, but IMHO not good enough for where and who it comes from. It's a 1hs, magic and lore. 12 dam 21 delay. 4.5 weight. warrior, ranger, bard, and rogue usable. NOTE: this info was obtained from the test server! This means it could have changed or even been taken out of the game or not added to the live servers!!! thanks for ur time for the 3rd time!!

Ack! I almost forgot to post this idea!!! When confronted (sp?) with the problem of killing the new dragon in the Dreadlands, one idea was to get maaaaany manymanymanymany many newbie warriors (pay them of coarse) to go after him damage shielded 1 by 1. Probably wouldn't work. Lets see... he quad attacks for enough to kill the newbies - that's all that matters - so he would take 24x4 damage for every kamikaze. that's 96 damage! woot!! ...was being sarcastic... so he has 32,000hp. it would take 333.33333333333333333333 --- 334 newbie warriors (or any class really) to kill him. this could theoretically work. but we would need 1 brave sole to cast a minor but long lasting DoT to stop his regen. u could finish up with a high lvl warrior so SOMEONE could get the xp, and u wouldn't have to wait forever to loot. oh well, this is just my little completion of a little idea ment as a joke on another dragon raid. btw, i realize that it might be very near impossible to get 333 newbie warriors into vp. and that's if there's no minimum level like in the planes. btw - i've never had the pleasure of going there. thanks again for ur time.

I believe it was said that the max hp in everquest was 32,000. A lvl 55 or so god has 32,000 - a lvl 55 or so dragon has 32,000 - a lvl 65 or so dragon has 32,000 - it would make sense to me that the max was 32,000 and the lvl 70 or so dragon would have 32,000hp, not 40,000. thanks for ur time

As stated above and as I have posted on a couple before, 32768 hps is max with the way the variables are set up in the program. With a 16bit short integer you can't go higher than that, and unless they changed the type for HPs only I doubt this is any exception. Going to a long integer would drastically increase the memory footprint and bandwidth requirements if just for one variable considering the number of objects in the game.

Also as mentioned in previous post, this is a signed integer. Hence the value of 32,768 which is 2^15. The last bit is used for +/-.

More then likely they're using a signed short for the hps. The lim of that is 32767.
So, if they're not doing something funky with that variable (read; using it for something other then for hps - like, masking or encryption) then that's the 'magic ceiling' for hps.

Actually Nagafen, Vox, Cazic, Inno, Meastro, all those dragons and god have maxed HP, thats 32500, not 32000 =)

well concidering that at lvl 60 rogues can backstab (ocasionally) for 32,000 BUT it's not always a instant kill...there must be things with more then 32,000

This is a chance skill. Its not something you can plan to do. It insta kills the mob it hits BUT only works on mobs below L45.

Aye. Assassination is more of a toy than a useful discipline.
Rogues are not the only class with "insta-kill" capability. I believe rangers were granted this ability when using a bow. 'Course, ya still have to be level 60 to even have the chance for this to happen...

Just because Veeshan is as huge as Kunark, does not necessarily mean that she is not in the game. The planes are alternate planes where everything changes..either you get bigger, or mobs get smaller unlike Norrath.

For one, if the designers at Verant are in anyway sane, there is no way in heaven/hell (depending on which of the weird people you are above) that this dragon can open a portal to POS where you fight Veeshan. Veeshan's toenail is about the size of Dreadlands, her foot probably the size of Kunark. For those of you who dont know, Veeshan is the one flying around the lifeless Norrath in the opening demo video. I dont know where all these people get this idea that you can actually see Veeshan. And I doubt it would be very fun to slash and bash at a 10 mile long toe anyway.

i think it would be cool if took all the people bashing other religions, and got them to kill Phara Dar (too bad they're all newbies), and he did not drop anything, and was just a piece of scenery like someone said.
