I'd imagine someone dropped those particular items and the shark picked them up. Can anyone confirm Giant Bat Fur as a drop from sharks?

#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 18 2004 at 8:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I had a lvl 2 cleric and a level 2 newbie female vah shir ran up to me and inspected me and kept clicking invite on me and I got ticked off and joined her and told her to follow me to east freeport. When we got there, I told her to click on the shark and told her to press the a button to hail him, she jumped in the water and I was on land, she pressed the a button and the shark was eatting her alive, I watched as her head arose from the surface trying to make it to the land yelling for help to me she kept repeating please help me meow please help me meow. Then I saw the sharks fin arose to the surface and went close up to her and het bit her for 50 dmg and her head went back in the water and she said MEOOOOOOOOWWWWWW! Then she died, disbanded and logged. Thats what happens when newbies like her just run up to me and keep clicking invite on me.

Sorry about that post about the cleric watched the vah shir died by the shark,my lil brother wrote that down when I was in the bathroom. He didn't tell me he written this stuff down till now. The cleric he had wasnt mine, he had his own account. I kicked his butt for writing that crap down and I got more ticked when I got a reply from a person that thinks I'm a sick @#%^ and need help. My lil bro needs help on not writing cruel stuff down and make sure to nail his butt to the wall when I go to the bathroom next time.

i got killed by the EFP shark at level 14. he conned red.
Woah, scary
# Aug 19 2002 at 10:49 AM Rating: Good
These things scared the crap out of me. I was going to Sister Island from BB and I fell off the boat in OoT. I got really scared because I heard of the sharks and about how my brother's friend died of them and couldn't find his corpse. Luckily, my boyfriend was with me (a 52 rogue) so he could kill them. Finally, I nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw one, but then I conned it, and saw it was green. I felt stupid!

RE: WHAT THE F***!

there are two kinds of sharks in Erudin; and they are BOTH named only "a shark" ;; the one pictured, and another onw that looks just like a sand shark, but cons as high as these;; there are plagued, killer, and diseased sharks. And all but killer are in the Erudin waters; i have been under water for a few days RL time looking only for the theives and the DISEASED shark, because it gives faction for the Deepwater Knights AND it spwans several Baby or "young" Sharks when you kill it. There ARE lvl 50 sharks, but they are out in Ocean of Tears; you need to do reasearch before posting such a bold statement, which doesn't need to include swearing. If you cant think of other derogetory phrases, maybe you should be on an educational game as opposed to EQ pal.

The Sharks they are referring to are located in Erud's Crossing. Only those are called "Killer Sharks" and "Plague Sharks", located around the wizard rod in the water.

It's for some dark elf newbie quest. I've never done it because I've never gotten a dark elf past the shark or high enough level to fight it.

Just today I fell off the boat about 1/5 of the way through Ocean of Tears, so guess what i had to do...thats right swim. I tried casting gate, but apparently, you can't cast and drown at the same time. Everyone else in the zone was very helpful and they all helped get me to land. And it only took 30 mins. Of course, 10 min into it, someone just HAD to mention Sharks. I'd never seen a Shark before but i had heard stories. But she also told me that they hardly ever come to the surface. Luckily, I didn't see a shark, but when i finally did make it to land, i got my *** kicked by a Dwarf NPC (guess she didn't like Wood Elves).

If you fall in the water, wait until you go under all the way. Cast gate, and if you don't hit any any keys(or any other key that interrupts casting), it will complete and you will gate back to your bind spot.

You can cast any of your spells under water, gate does work.
RE: I am one lucky SOB
# May 14 2002 at 3:19 PM Rating: Decent
the part about casting gate in the water is not true. ive done it before when i accedently hit F12 and jumped in the water to practise my swimming, and realized my right button wasnt working, so i couldnt swim up(and i didnt know bout the F12 thing) so i casted gate, it interupted once or twice but it eventually worked and i sucessfully escaped

Man this stupid shark practically gave me a heart attack! Well not really, but it scared me! I was standing on the docks of Freeport when I some guy went up to me and typed in "Dolan pushed Kisho into the water" as a joke. So to make it funny i just jumped in. While I was swimming around in the middle of the night (Earth time) I saw something move in the water. I could'nt tell what it was so I turned of the lamp that was making a glare on the screen. AS I looked again there was a huge shark right in front of me! The water was pitch black so I swam to the surface calling my friend to help me. I swithced views and saw that the shark was nearing the surface behind me! I reached the dry land just in time for my lvl 21 Warrior friend to jump in and kill the shark!! So after that, I've been paranoid about falling into those waters. (this is a pointless story telling you of my day.)

The docks in Freeport were traditionally my training area for swimming - at least until I found out that I was not alone in the water. I'm telling you, I swam like a mer-man all over that zone and never ran into the shark. Finally one day I went for a dip with a summoned wisp light. I swam over to the south side where the docks end and there's a lonely fisherman hanging out. Suddenly my pulse raced as I came within a few meters of the shark! I didn't even bother to con him and quickly swam straight up out of the water. SHEESH! Thereafter I took my swimming lessons in the pool under the Magic Academy. If only I had known that he was level 3 to 6, I might have used him for training.

Yes your right. He's lvl 3-6 and the ultimate caster camp. His magic resistance is zippo, and I've never had him break root or resist it.All it takes after he's rooted are 2 Chaotic Feedbacks and hes toast. Good xp(when its blue,i blue bub) and decent loot(shark skins sell for about a gold). The only problem is that darn DE girl who spawns on the beach.she treis to kill me when I attack the shark.

OK guys heres the deal:

Around Norrath there are MANY levels of Sharks, ranging from the level 3-6 Shark in EFP all the way to a Level 50 In Kedge Keep. The Sharks that drop the doll are in the Qeynos Sewers, and you can get down there two ways, 1 from the bank in Freeport, the water you go over by the walk bridge, you jump in there, and find the portal down, you will zone, then follow to air. Soon as you get in zone, ask for a guide to the shark Tank. 2nd is a secret entrance on the castle wall going to the left from the Freeport gate, jump in the well, and zone, same here. Be careful tho, these sharks are up to level 22, and you should have a partner or two until then. Also Erudin, has sharks in it's waters just off the dock! In any case, there are many sharks that need disposed of in norrath, and as many sharks as there are, there are many levels of them. Just because you've encountered one, maybe 2 different kinds, soes not ensure you to the right info, also there are many different TYPES of shark, Diseased, Hammerhead, etc....
