actually, there are only 2 wurms...the other is a quest NPC in Temple of Sol Ro. Can't remember his name, but it is backwards to what the quest guy said.
WOW! Now dats odd. Me go to check out info on dis guy, and "Wait a second, dat ogre luks familiar. Hmmmm...where did Chubu see him before. Oh! Dats me! *GASP*". Da guy who tuk dis picture musta been in me grup dat da time. Me feel so special =). Anyhow, yeah dis guy we barshed gud near da Giant Fort. Chubu's been meaning to get a wurmslayer, so me try to find out some more info as far as where da udder 2 named wurms spawn. Me heard near sum udder zones doh (other than the Dreadlands zone). Might be worth checking out.
the gullerback spawns are in fact linked to the named wurms....i went tracking for azdalin myself and noticed all i could see was gullerback on trace....everywhere i went he was on track.....turned out there were 3 gullerbacks on track so we killed them and sure enough the wurms spawned....so gullerback is in the same spawn cycle as named wurms...one gullerback for eah wurm it seems...and gullerback seems to be the common spawn so u may have to kill him many times...but hey free tattered mantles for everyone =D

Every post I se my Anonymous is totaly misleading and full of it. gullerbacks are placeholders for the named wurms. kill them and ya get a chance at the named spawning similar to the minotaur hero.
I was in a group with guildmates this past weekend. Our group consisted of me (47 necro), a 51 warrior, and 55 shaman. We were trying to find Azdalin so our warrior could get the last scale fo the quest, and we noticed a few things.
First of all, these guys do not have the most HP of anything in the zone. If you believe that, you haven't killed Gullerback yet. He has the most hp it would seem, and it a heck of a lot harder too! Gullerback took at least 5 minutes to take down, and no one died (though our warrior got close).
Secondly, and interestingly enough, not 5 minutes after we killed Gullerback, Azdalin spawns. We had not see him all day until we killed Gullerback. There very well might be a connection to these names wurms and Gullerback, but then again, we may have gotten lucky.
More testing on this to follow in the upcoming weeks.
To identify something, you have to have to be holding it (on your cursor), and cast the spell identify, or have someone cast it on you. The person targeted will get a message about the item they are holding.
Also, anyone know about how often these things spawn?
What's this crap I keep seeing about giant's being unstunnable and unmezable??? We had a 50 enchanter stun AND mez the Fire Giants in Sol B on our FG raid... If she can do it then it can sure as hell be done
Certain creatures cannot be stunnable, ie giants. Some giants cannot be mezzed or are difficult to mezz ie. Spite Golems in hate plane. I for one know that giants can be mezzed but cannot be stunned. You might've been mistakened.
er... back to question. normal wurms have approximately 5-8k HPs but i dont know with the named ones. probably even more. for the lv40 necro who wants to solo these creeps, all i can say is ROFLMAO (all nite long, have to take some aspirin =)
the 3 named wurms are for the wurmslayer quest. they drop the scales although not marked each one will give the name of its prior owner when identified.
