he dropped Nitilim's Grimoire p.400 today.
I pumped 7200 dmg into him before he fell. Always seems to spawn in place of Viscious Raptor. Killed him 3 times, twice in 2 consecutive days, and he never dropped loot.
I checked one Viscious Raptor and it took 5400 dmg.
(hmmm, 5400 and 7200, sounds like hard drive speeds to me)
Raptors have maybe 4800 HP. They vary a little, but not much.

He just spawned for me on the island with druid rings. I nuke of rend and 2 of draught of fire and he was only at 80%. Servers came down so i gated and camped before killing him. He hits like a @#%^ though. First time he spawned in 3 days of quadding raps on large and small island.

Made friends with him last night. He popped while I was quading and wanted to come play, so I charmed him and sent him in... Saved me an AOE actually, once they were low I just backed away and let him clean things up. That left him at half which would have been perfect except that charm didn't break for 4 more minutes, which was when that area was respawning! So, what the hell, I charmed him again and made him my slave for another quad. Pure candy, what can I say.
He probably would have been a real nuisance if I didn't have charm, but my wizzy is only 15 so it'll be awhile before I get to test that out.

Just started quadding at the small island today...Been pulling 3 raptors from the south side and a vicious raptor at the east end of the isle. Dinus just popped in this guy's spot. I quadded normally but was freekin out cuz there was a named (did /who dinus cuz i thought i targeted a player at first lol). Didnt have an increased resist because i landed everything (54 wizard). Normally if i didnt get resists, one raptor would fall first, then 2 after it, then the vicious would stop and id give him one 658 dmg nuke to kill him. With Dinus the first 3 fell like normal then i had to give him the one 658 plus 3 more to finish him. Luckily i had enough mana :D

Best pet I ever had. Charm kited himn and he cleared both islands before I killed him myself.

Dropped a Rune of Frost used to make Ice Comet. All the raptors have been dropping higher lvl research ingredients, but not often.

how hard does he hit?

I was soloing on the island and the thing is much more harder than the others. He have around 2000 hp more than the others. The others take me root + 4 dots (800 lifetap + 1150darkness + 1200 + 1700) and this one 6 (another 800 + 1150) and a little blast to finish.

Dinus coned blue to me at 47. Had a hard time taking him down, and was rewarded with nothing for my effort.

This guy has TONS of health. Normally, it take me (lvl 51 mage) about 2 1/2 - 3 bubbles of mana to kill raptors. My pet may go down to 1/2 at most. This guy, on the other hand, takes all of my mana and my lvl 51 earth pet with lava shield and burnout III cast on it went down to a sliver of health. Dropped jack squat. :(

With the new addtion of the Agroo they upped the level of Dinus to 47

And yet I have not received any loot from him out of the 30 or 40 times I've killed him. He seems to be around 1/20 spawn, maybe less.

Dinus can spawn at any of the 3 vicious spawns, one of which is *not* on the druid ruins island :) Since they itemized Timorous and made raptors aggro/social, Dinus was made MUCH harder. He still hits for less than a normal raptor, but he has tons more hps and he is EXTREMELY aggro to pcs. I usually solo there and to kill him I have to kite and let my pet hit because it is nearly impossible to keep him engaged on the pet. Two times I have been with a partner here against Dinus and both times the partner didn't even cast on Dinus, but Dinus kept following my partner til he died (with me nuking it the whole time)
