dont try to make a grp in this place without any tank it is awful. i wss lvl 32 wiy with 2 other wiz 1 cleric 1 shaman and 1 necro it was impossible . plz guy make grp safe before going inside of that train hole ==)))).

That isn't such a bad group. However, without a tank, I would suggest setting up camp near the zone. The necro's pet could tank these guys, just have the cleric heal as needed. If you get more than one mob..Root Park(mob control).
Also, in that group, have the necro pull(darkness).
Depending on the level of the necro's pet, they have considerable HP(herein doing a lot of the tanking) and the Necro's DOTs are nasty.
If ya get in trouble, zone out.

We rocked this place when we were in our low 30s. The group was 1 tank, 1 necro, 1 druid, 1 cleric, 1 chanter and 1 rouge. By the mid 30s, we took the boss room without many problems.

I came to Dalnir at 24 with a full group. Me(druid), shaman, 2 monks, enchanter and warrior. We camped the entrance which is one of the nicest camping spots in the whole world. A small room right next to the zone, your tank goes down the tunnels and pulls back to the room. Dying almost never occurs unless you pull so much stuff you can't run the 5 feet to the zone. We sat there for eight hours and got totally awesome experience with only 2 deaths. Also the loot is pretty good. Mobs drop usually a couple platinum as well as fine steel weapons and then there are some rare drops as well. We saw 2 Brass Goblin Flamberge and 1 other rare drop. These coerced on the first level are not too tough when pulled as singles, however this is with a good, well rounded group. Also they all have pets, almost 100% of the time.
These are necros but hit like crazy. Tend to drop gems from time to time.

this friggin mob is supposedly been a necro EVERY time I've fought it. I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN A LVL 27 NECRO PUNCH OR CRUSH FOR 58 IN MY LIFE! THAT IS A BUNCH OF ****! VERANT, WHAT ARE YOU GUYS THINKING? NOT ONLY DO THEY HIT FOR THAT, BUT CAST DDs, DoT, AND HAVE PETS! THIS IS CRAZY!

um, chill, its called play balancing. computers lack the intelligence and intuition of a human. They balance this by making them part fighter as well. I have seen madmen on Antonica that were wizard/warrior. If they were just wizards they would be too easy for melle classes and to hard for casters. Think of them as a modified SK and you will feel much better.

They can come off any. The two times I have recieved it were a surprise, as they were on necros--and therefore not wielding this fine piece of metal.

I got mine from a necro, it WAS weilding it at the time. it had a blue pet to 30 so i'm fairly sure it wasn't an SK, the lack of HT gave me a hint too. but i've seen the gnomish mages weild fine steel two handers, and this was no exception, the erudite necro dropped it.
