Came to this place just to see if its suitable for a mid30's guild raid. A few of the coerced mobs dropped canines. Anybody know what they are for?

Soloed

At level 36, me monk soloed this bearded beauty. She conned lite blue to me, but it took a while to kill her. She casted heal on herself three times, and after several cast attempts on me, she ran out of mana, and I then easily killed her. Keep in mind, 36 monk, resist discipline, froggie crown, if this means anything, CoT/EoD melee, duel wield @ 243, used mend, and the winch didn't even have a plat total of loot, ... what a waste. Better off killin giants in the fort for the same EXP and less damage inflicted on me. BTW, she resisted my direct melee somewhat. I hit for 35, but could only hit her for 6-9 dam, and 14 flying kick. ( Is usually around 70). Hope this helps the argument. It can be done, I did it today!

While this mob isn't that hard compared to others like the gnome magician when you're in a group, it is damn near impossible to solo unless you're at least lvl 40, or maybe if you're a nuker.

I tried killing her for a while zoning back and forth to WW to bind wounds, and what I found out is that she casts only 2 spell, smite and greater heal, smite every once in a while, and GHeal when she is down to about 40% health.
I'm a monk with a cane/baton combo and a duel wield skill of 223 and still I was never able to interrupt the GHeal in at least 10 tries, and smite only like 1 time in five. This combined with the fact that she never seems to run out of mana makes hear un-soloable for meelee classes near her lvl.

I've found that bash work well on these things as it is the only thing that will inturrupt thier spells consistently when it hits. A warrior with a decent bash skill should be able to solo these things. I'm currently suffering the fruits of poor planning as I have been using a 2hs since level 15 *bangs head against screen*. Just a note to all of you budding warriors out there, PRACTICE YOUR BASH IT MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE!!

Since you have an Duel Wield skill of 223 you must be over lvl 50, coz the skill cap is 200, you only get over 200 when you hit lvl 50, and DONT tell me that a lvl 50 monk cant solo a lvl 25-30 creature

In response to this statement, I'd just like to inform everyone that the guy who says that the skill cap is 200 is wrong. Monks are unique when it comes to the dual wield skill, which we get at level 1. The skill cap is much higher, which is why I've been able to acquire a skill of well over 200 already. So, the guy whose post you bashed is correct. Please get informed before making such a statement in the future.

It is true that monks have a higher skill cap. However, with a skill of 223 he would have to be at least level 44 and if he can't solo a level 30 mob that's pretty sad.

Dual wield cap is (level x 7) + 5. 223 is attainable at level 32.

I came to Dalnir at 24 with a full group. Me(druid), shaman, 2 monks, enchanter and warrior. We camped the entrance which is one of the nicest camping spots in the whole world. A small room right next to the zone, your tank goes down the tunnels and pulls back to the room. Dying almost never occurs unless you pull so much stuff you can't run the 5 feet to the zone. We sat there for eight hours and got totally awesome experience with only 2 deaths. Also the loot is pretty good. Mobs drop usually a couple platinum as well as fine steel weapons and then there are some rare drops as well. We saw 2 Brass Goblin Flamberge and 1 other rare drop. These coerced on the first level are not too tough when pulled as singles, however this is with a good, well rounded group. Also they all have pets, almost 100% of the time. Also the shaman cast shrink on us which made it much easier as the area is somewhat small.

Ok, theres an iksar d00d on 2nd level, he looks like an SK and is located near the zone TP out. You gotta be an Iksar to do this, warrior would be best cus he wouldnt accept a necromancer, Its probobly a trooper scale quest or one of those looser Iksar warrior weapon quests.

The very easiest coerced in Dalnir's have to be coerced dwarf rogues. They have no special abilities in a toe to toe fight as they can not backstab while facing you. They also do not have kick or bash like warriors. And most importantly, they do not heal themselves like the clerics do.

When the coerced dwarf is a cleric, it is imperative that you fully blast it when it gets down to about half life. They are quite pesky about casting a nice heal upon themselves, making the fight difficult. Also the clerics will heal other coerced, leading to very tough fights.

The rare drop on Coerced Dwarves is a Froglok Crusher, 12/36 2HB, usable by warriors, hybrids, and monks.
