I had just logged in and attacked a mountain giant when a cleric sent word the champion had spawned. Not knowing who the champion was I asked the cleric. After listing to the clerics info I asked him if he wanted to team. We did and killed him. I'm a 48 wiz and spent all my mana with 3 partial resists using the conflaguration spell, but we did barley managed to kill him. I'd say he has over 4000hp's He had the hammer too. He didn't spawn for the rest of the day either.

fought one that was level 44... so they range higher than 43

He's a pretty rare spawn...i've spent a whole level at this camp and only seen him 3 or 4 times. He never dropped anything other than bone chips and cash. I've heard he drops that hammer but it must be pretty rare (I dont know anyone that's killed the champ and gotten the hammer)

I got the hammer off him. Orgrinaly I though it was just a goof..as the loot tables back then were alittle messed up..but others have claimed to get the hammer of him to..buts its a realy rare drop off him it seems.
Note..I would say hes got like 10k hps. At 51 druid..I could solo him..but I had to root/dot him...took forever to kill him this way. Kind of like killing a ice gaint).
Watch it to..he can hit hard.
