I honestly don't think there is a key requirement to get into seb these days. However, getting the key is incredibly easy and would maybe take about an hour max. I know if you get a higher level friend, Trak is totally soloable, I engaged him at 105 without much issue with a zerker. However, I failed to loot his guts for my bard, so I guess I will be revisiting him. Good Luck

Once progression servers unlock Planes of Power, Old Seb doesn't need a key anymore.
I killed Trakanon on Thursday night/Friday early morning and though I'd have to wait at least until Sunday night for the respawn. Logged in Saturday afternoon and he was up again. Didn't time it, but it seems his spawn time is about a day (24 hours). Seems like it was reduced.

Trak spawn time is definitely reduced to 24 or 48 + or - change. At least on TLP's.
I've taken him down for weeks at a time on Ragefire. Same with Tal/Sev/Gore. They all seem to have gotten reduced. VS isn't 5 days anymore either, he's closer to 2 days + or - and VSR has a fixed time (I'd have to pull up the patch notes, but it was modified in 2021 to prevent VS respawn from precluding the spawn of VSR)

new quickest spawn timer for me: 47 hours 2 minutes 8 seconds between the time I killed it on 7/29 to the time I saw it up on 7/31. and noneither were failed bard epic kills. both had 2 BP loots and teeth.
location is the deepest end of the dungeon (as it always has been). Down the water in the first area, down water again. Through the tunnels past the mushroom men. Past the sebilite juggernauts. He aggroed me about /loc -2075, -531, -140 but this is not even back in his little hidey hole.

I've been parked here for a few days now trying to get the Staff of Battle for my twink BER off the Seb Protector. Trakanon spawned once and when I logged in, camped near Tolapumj in a corner, he immediately aggroed. Ended up getting some help from a level 100 and he went down Quick. Seemed fairly easy and was wondering if anyone had any input and think I could solo him with a Healer merc.
Killed Trak last night for my bard 1.0 epic. I was worried about the fight because I didn't pre-clear from the banish room so I brought my alts to help the fight. 69 bard with J1 Tank merc 65 Rogue with J1 Healer merc 55 Wiz with J1 Melee DPS merc Only had the wizard there for evac purposes, and to absorb the initial banish so I could gate him back to the fight. My fears were put to rest however when I spawned him by dragging the UDB back to the bridge before killing him. Then when Trak spawned my tank merc went out to meet him. Didn't have the DPS merc out, and the tank merc solod him easily. Probably could have done it without a healer merc up. I just played my standard melee songs, haste, overhaste, Proc, slow, and hp/mana regen. Took maybe 2-4 minutes for merc to kill him, never got banished because no one else pulled aggro. Gear doesn't even matter, the J1 merc is plenty to solo this mob.
Just be careful about aggroing UDB... I forgot to turn off my melody when I started talking to him and hit him with an AE slow so that he aggroed before I got the quest started. Oops. Fade and dismissing my mercs worked fine and he quickly reset.
summoned trak is not undead (dunno if real version is, just sayin) summoned trak does still banish /rewind trick does not work in sebilis anymore. (i cannot confirm whether fighting him solo and having a dot on him when banished will get you summoned back) he runs when low on life if you summon trak via udb and ***** the fight, he will despawn fairly quickly and udb will not be there. udb took 12+ hours to respawn for me after messing up an attempt. the lute body you have in your inventory after a *****-up will still trigger udb/trak encounter. summon trak can drop loot, however, i think its limited to 1 loot per summoned-trak-kill whereas the normal version drops a few loots (i think)
It still works. 95 wizzie, my 1st nuke was resisted and i got banished and not summoned back even though my fire dot landed. trak died before i got back to him as well. funny stuff.
I have killed Traknon 8 times in september. I bound my wizard outside. makes for easy checking. So far I have spawn times at : 5d22hr ( obviously i missed the one inbetween), 2d 23 hours, 2d7-1/2 hours, 7d 6hours ( again missed 1 or 2 spawns), patch but was 2days 12 hours from last one, missed the next then another patch. I got first spawn (was 5d 22 hours from last) and then next was 2d 8 hours later. Overall it sure seems to me to be far less than a 3 day spawn cycle. it seems to range from 55 hours to 71 hours. of course, finding him up does not mean he just spawned. I would err on the low side and say 2d 5 hours to 2d 12 hours (55 - 62). More data will come in because I still have not picked up a tolans.
recently got trakanon only 50-1/2 hoURs after previous one. I am getting paladin, druid and bard bp's most. Check my post out on undead bard so you can spawn trak more often.

I killed trak on 2/6 at 3:48 pm. ran down today on 2/8 and he was up. kill at 3:47 pm. so it was 1 min less than 48 hours. i dont have any idea how long it was up either. so interesting.
Thanks for the great info. I'd like to add to this post and confirm that Trak is NOT on the standard 3 day +/- 12 hour spawn.
Appeared Tuesday at 3 AM (and yes updated for post-midnight) and then re-appeared Thursday at 2pm... 2d 11h. I triple checked my logs and checked /uptime, there had been no server or zone crash that would have affected it. It seems like he is on a 2.5d +/-12hr spawn, leaving his window at hours 48-72.
Edit: Had him spawn 3d 3hrs so that guess was false. Perhaps more accurate is inbetween 48-84 hours for his window.

Give it a try if you haven't already. Its not like you have to retrieve your corpse now if something goes wrong. The mercs should carve him up but you might have a problem with all the adds that are in the area and getting rid of them first will be hard because Trak has a huge aggro range.
the banish isnt a problem .. clear all the way from banish room to trak pull trak to just out side the banish room if you get to far away he will drop agro.. if possable leave a shroom alive and when trak banishes the shroom will summon you right back
Just killed him on Stromm server with a lvl 75 SK, and a lvl 67 bard.
Bard engaged first so he could take the banishment. Then SK engaged, harm touched for 11k damage, one lifetap and a couple of DD spells, Down in about 30 secs, didn't even clear up to him. Dropped 2x Rng breastplates, a few teeth, shoulder item and a spell.
As the subject states... 65 SK 1HT = dead 18 seconds max
I also have a fabled basalt greatsword of the protector, lizardscale plated girdle and 40% item haste (90% total haste) ... so this might be alittle misleading b/c of the obscene damage I do...
BUT 1 harmtouch dropped him to 57% , the dot portion of it would have killed him I suspect, but I didnt want to get banished, so I just laid into him with the greatsword, and some nukes.
Was over almost immediately, he didnt even banish me.
Soloed him today as a 75 necro w/ epic 1.5 and 204 AA's. Pretty easy actually...easier than I thought he would be. Light blue to me. I had been camped out over by the wall near where Tolumpj spawns, so when I logged in and Trak was up, I tried to clear trash mobs first. Killed Tolumpj, but when I pulled juggs it aggroed Trak, so I decided to just try it.
Mana was only about 85 or 90% at the start, but I have 13.4k mana (~11k hps self-buffed) and it went rather well. Got him down to 60-65% before 1st banish. Had to clear banish room of shrooms w/o my pet, but I have damage shield potions and heal potion (reuse time is a couple minutes).
Contrary to what people say, sitting does not appear to make him summon you. I tried that and didnt get summoned until I was around bridge area on my way back (not sitting). Had pet up again and used epic pet also....tossed another 1 or 2 dots on him and got banished again...he regened 3-4% hp before I got back, but no worries.
Once I got him down to 8-10%, I ran back for one last attack....I was only 10-15% mana and less than 50% hp, but got pet up again, used swarm of decay (3 skeleton archers), army of the dead(only 1 corpse was available to use though)....and tossed 3 more dots on him (Ashengate Pyre, Pyre of Mori and Corath Venom)...they all landed. In fact, I think I only got one resist the whole time and I resisted most or all of his spells (over 450 in most resists). I was stoked when he died, even though I saw his hps go to 0 from banish room. Ran back and..... he dropped SK bp, MANA ROBE, 2 teeth, sinew (some quest), spell, gem and I think that was it....I just wanted the robe, so I'm definitely one HAPPY necro today! Edit: Just wanted to say that I did indeed lose aggro from the adds (juggs) when I got banished. That's probably b/c I was attacking the dragon and not them. Also, I don't believe he ever gated unless it was after I got banished. He was pretty much in his lair the whole time, b/c when I noticed that he aggroed, I just charged him.

Don't know his loc. but he is in the lower right hand side of the zone. If you don't know how to get to him in can be a little bit interesting. After you zone in, walk down to the bridges and jump into the water. Swim down the hole (there is only one) then open the door and swim down again and follow that underwater tunnel. Pop back up into a room with frogloks and a door. Open that door and follow the maze past the fungus guys and you'll find him. There is a locked door past the fungus guys and Juggernauts but it can be opened by clicking on the spinning brazier (fire goblet) next to it. However the door won't open from the other side. Some mobs along the way see invis so you might have a swarm or two on you before you know it. Hope that helps if you were wondering how to get to him. He is not trackable from the zone in, at least not for me (80 Ranger with 220 tracking skill) You have get pretty close. If I stand at the locked door at the Juggs I can track him from there.
