I am INTIMATELY familar with Dayle and all of his coming in's and going out's.
You know how when you are around monster for a obscene amount of time and you begin to map out it's every action?
You know how you become so completely familiar with it's behavior you can predict exactly how it will act in any given situation?
Well, that's how well I know Dayle.

Well, I thought I did....
The other day he did something most un-Dayle like, he trained me! Yes, you heard me right ladies, he trained a sister on to me while I was fighting two others.
See, Dayle always runs down to this one particular sister. He always meets his doom when fighting her, but he ALWAYS fights to the bloody end.
Not this time. He got to like 80% health, and booked. He ran right through my camp, so when his inevitable doom came upon him, the sister walked back to her spawn point....which happened to be right smack through my camp.
THE MO FRO TRAINED ME!!

Pirate connected to Pirate Camp on other island in OOT. Spawns about every 6 minutes up hill from rune stone on NE corner of Sister Island. Shares spawn point with Zyle Bensmill, another pirate. Has BIG aggro range.
Hits for about 30 pts max. Will pick up items off ground if you drop them, but you won't be able to loot them once you kill him. Get earring quest from Styria Fearnon on the same island. If you're also hunting sisters, you may be able to use the quest to keep an even fac with them. Also, got Necro Words off him once.

Every time I go to OoT he has tried to kill me. I always root him and gate out. Keep a close close, eye out for him. I never see him coming, but I guess i wasn't looking.

He killed me 3 times in less than hour while I was waiting for the boat on the docks. He runs down out of the hills to see if anyone is there and attacks them. The only way I could get away was to keep a sharp eye out for him then dive into the water before he came within aggro range. He leaves quickly so you don't have to wait long, just hope there are no sharks in the water when you jump in.
If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?

My only comment on this, aside from the fact that I'm finally able to get sweet revenge on the guy, is that I'm level 21 and he's still blue to me. Made me happy... don't run away, for the BSs, just stand and hit him. He goes down easy. And if you face him, he doesn't hit for much, maybe 35 at most, and misses a lot. Gonna go turn in his earring and kill him some more. This is fun!

When i was lvl 12 i tried to get on the island to get the Kiola nuts for my Trueshot Longbow quest, he aggroed from who-the-heck-knows-where and wasted me. Me being new to OOT tried to SWIM away...stupid, stupid, stupid... he just walked the ocean floor and kept whompin on me, and now I know that the 3rd plane (the z-axis) doesn't apply to mobs. It doesn't matter if you're above or below them, they can STILL hit you. Luckily I made it back to the dock in time before he killed me.

If you are in trouble and are running form whatever (pirates, dwarves, wood elves, etc.), just run along the shore until you find a log boat, and GET IN THERE! They sohuld stop their aggro, and will walk away, or disappear. This has saved me be4, and it rocks!

I was killing gargs on the nearby Haunted Island with my lvl 20 mage at the time and just escaped a very close call where my pet died right after it rooted the last garg and I nuked it to death as it was whacking me, I got down to about 100hps, gated to the island where I am aly to all the sister types, this guy or Zyle jumped me, dont remember which, and in the first hit got me to like 70hps I couldnt gate cause I was bound there, couldnt fight low on hps and no pet and was oom, decided to run for it. Here is the advise, this guy swims SLOW!!! If you are like lvl 16+ and have been keeping your swimming maxed just swim around the island while useing /shout to get someone on a near by island to come and kill it for you, took a few mins but in the time it took I got to full hps and met them at the dock, good thing I healed he didnt back off me till that guy got him to like half life, then i nuked him for his remaining hp sand camped him for the rest of the day as revenge! As for the head sister helping him that has never happened to me, I have had him agro on me all the time when in the INN selling, man does it rule selling to a merchant that you are aly with!

Was getting nuts for Trueshot when he attacked me. I ran for the boat so I wouldn't miss it. I knew i shouldn't have since i was newly lvl 18 at the time, but I did. well he came on with me, but the whole time I tried to fight him, he was hitting me, but i kept getting the message your target is too far away! That is a load of B.S. If a mob can hit you, you should be able to hit it back. Long story short. DO NOT go for the boat. It will just cost you the time of having a guide drag your corpse out of the water, and you getting back to the island to get it. Lost my lvl too.

Wish I had read up on this guy before I hit this island. I actually was back from buying spells on another island. Since I was new here I decided to look around a bit. I was checking out a named sister when BAM! This guy jumps me and starts attacking me as I run for the dock for help I'm getting smacked for major damage so I turned to fight. Coupled with some spells I won the fight but came very close to dying. Key is DON'T RUN! He conned blue to my 16th lvl mage and had I not run he would have been toast.

Same happened to me yesterday. Also with my lvl16 mage. He conned white, I had no pet up so I thought no way I'm going to win this. So I decided to be chicken and try to gate out. Got it off the second time with one red bubble left. Was actually the first time I got gate off in mid fight.
By the way, does anybody know where you can actually buy those Kiola nuts? I tried all the NPC's in the inn but no trade window opens. I'm a High Elf and they con amiable. Any idea?

dont run bcauz this guy backstabs like crazy for about 50-75 each time so if you think you are going to die just keep fighting you have a better chance that way

just a hint if you get killed by Dayle, dont drag your corpse onto the boat. you can't loot it on the boat. also when the boat zones your corpse dissapears somewhere into the ether. it doesn't re appear back on the island either.
although i learnt all this the hard way, at least i now feel i am much more familiar with the boats :)

Can this guy or any of his "buddies" see through invisibility? He got me yesterday and I need to recover my corpse (as well as get to the other island for a few spells). Also, is there a boat from this island to the smaller island next to it or am I going to be swimming for awhile?

Yes.. the guy punches for 30s and BS's for more... but the real danger is from being hit for about 354 points of damage... not buy Him, but by the sister to whom you give his earring. He has an enormous aggro radius and if you happen to be near the sister/warrior guildmaster, yer toast. I found this out the hard way when I logged into my character on the island to find him bearing down on me... I was unprepared (he was yellow at the time.) and I ran... right into the fist of the prime sister for 354 points of damage. I spawned at the same point and died again to the same fist of sisterly doom. I petitioned this as a possible oversight and the responding GM agreed, saying it would be sent to the Bug people. Other than that, turning in an earring to the prime sister reverses the faction hit from killing a lowly sister. Though, it is a much more tedious faction flow.

While camping the named sisters on the island, I was attacked by Dayle Jornin. At lev 27, I thought this to be amusing. Until his girlfriend the head sister came to his aid and started wailing on me for 384 points a wack. I also thought this was a bug and petitioned. I was told by the GM that it was not a bug. Jornin and the Head sister Fearnone, have a relationship, and verant is not budging on it.

Oh, this was quite an amusing adventure as well. I am a level 60 magician, and my 1h blunt skill is rather high for a non-melee class. Besides this, I ALWAYS summon a pet in every zone I enter. Now, when my good buddy dayle jumped me, it was close to this sister. I figured that little dayle would be a good source of amusement for about 30 seconds. so, I backed my pet off, and started whacking him for 40dmg with my staff of dayle jornin's doom. So here I am, beating down on poor little dayle, when all of the sudden i see "<whatever her name is> hits YOU for 384dmg." and then, "gibabonaertikertan slashes <insert name again> for 200dmg" and so on and so forth, until i've killed a guildmaster and a jarnon right dead. hilarious. although painful.

That's funny you say that, because I've come to have the same kind of ironic relationship with him.
I've been camping the Ascania Halvbin & Larisa Gelrith for god....20 hours?? 40 Hours?? An eternity? I'm not really sure, but VERY long time.
Since then, Dayle has come less of an enemy and more of an annoying neighbor.
Everytime he stabs me in the back I think of this guy from Raising Arizona.

No, he shares the spawn with Zyle Bensmith. Since they are basically the same lvl, and are both connected to the same facation, I supose that whoever wrote up the bestiary decided to just use the same description for both of them. I can't blame them for that, can you?
