If you are doing the DoN cultural tradeskill quests for the wood elves. When u are doing the expert part you will need to kill 5 of these guys. I find they tend to be random spawns all over I kept the right side path from the middle area to the castle clear and finally after about 4 hours got all 5 of them. You will also have to loot one of the clay and take it back to kelethin with you to turn in to Calian Silverlake loc. pos 942,pos659,pos117.

Not so hard quest

I did this quest today in about 7 hours from start to finish.

First,I went out to TD to the location (neg8850, neg6040) and picked up the CRUSHED DIAMONDS off the ground.

Second, I went to the bazaar and paid 15pp for the STRANGE OCHRE CLAY.

Third, I got a group of guildies,5 of them all between 63-65 but this could be done with much lower characters. We went upstairs to the room where the Dravlorg Warlord was (room with a brain sitting on the table, just past the jail) and killed him. 15 minutes later the Skeletal Warlord popped in one of the jail cells, killed him and I got my GREYISH BONECHIPS.

Fourth, We ran out to TT, tracker saw a Froglok Yun Shaman on track, we ran right to him, killed em, and I got my SHAMAN POWDER.

The actual time that I worked on this quest was only about 4 hours. In the other hours we also stopped by EJ and SB to kill a couple epic scouts and we also played around in KC (got the extended range item and 2 helms of rile).

This quest is really not that hard at all. The hardest part is probably the mob in KC, and its more of a pain getting to him then it is killing him.

Good luck!

In about 3 hours here tonite, we found about 4 or 5 of them wandering the upper areas on our way to kill Neh'Ashir. Each kill got us one of these clays. Was easily able to do this in a group of low-mid 50s without a chanter. Pally or cleric pacify's work fine for crowd control.

I've been to City of Mist only twice. Each time we found the Army Behemoth in that room where glowing orange particles are showering from something in the room. I believe the room is the temple.

Saw the behemoth in the stables, the eastern half to the back at the top of the ramp. Seemed like tougher than normal stuff pops there, but all golems seem week for their lvl in CoM.

Best advice I can give is get a druid or a high level bard to track. That is how I finally found the Army bohemoth after I sat there for hours lol.. Good luck to all
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 03 2002 at 9:55 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Get a BARD or a DRUID to track for you? That's like getting a rogue to tank for you or a bard to to be the main melee damager. If you need something tracked down, get a RANGER!

Behemoth

I have seen him spawn in the temple, one the bridge leading to the reavers, somewhere in the tower as there was a raiding party going through and they were using OOC to target. So I am guessing he can spawn anywhere a golem can. I usually camp an are for hours and he will suddenlt spawn.

At Shaman's Crucible, they say go over bridge, bear right, and at the top of some pyramid structure is the Behemoth. You can cast on it from there, to bring it to you, once you have cleared the yard, though this sounds like an excellent way to start a train. Don't know, haven't tried it, but there it is. Was going to start working on it, but seeing as the MOb can be 44th, I am waiting a bit. Best suggestion might be to advertise and ask to loot the quest item.

Saw this one in temple, on right hand side when you cross the bridge, never saw it in the stables, maybe he can spawn on any of the spots a golem can spawn?!?
army behemoth
# May 18 2001 at 8:41 AM Rating: Default
camped city of mist for two days now. Once with a guild raid and once with a group camping stables.
Both times I was on for four hours. No sign of behemoth in zone. Best bet was told to stay in stables. Until he spawns there. If anyone else know of another way please post it. 8 real time hours. This is pathetic. Lvl 45 Shaman Rodcet Knife server. I will be to level 54 by the time this thing ever spawns to drop it then I could care less about the spell. Not to mention fighting over it with other shamans that need it. This should be a faster spawn. Or at least tell us if there is a place holder for it so I know where to camp. Its hard enough to get people to camp it let alone stay there for hours and hours.

Just wanted to post some info that the strange ochre clay you get off these for your shaman canna 2 quest is tradeable. Meaning if you hunt here a lot and you notice a bunch of people on a reaver / lord hunt, you could probably beg them enough and walk away with your clay.

Army behemoth spawns rarely in other places like stables, etc but probably only once a week if that. Typically spawns with the other lvl 40ish mobs in the castle where the reaver(s) spawn. Probably spawns skyward as well but most raids dont hunt there.

Mandicus 52 mystic (enjoying his canna 2 for 2 more lvls)

Edit: lvl 54 now and still use canna 2 for prolly 2 more lvls. Canna 3 fizzles way too much. I have both, I just prefer canna 2. Also one of these spawned in the temple on the right side of zone the other day at the bottom where there are 3 spawns. MAKE SURE you don't go upstairs in the temple without an army of enchanters. There are about 8 spawns up there, half of which are lvl 40-43ish, the other half are lvl 36to 39ish.

Edit again: still using can 2 at 55, can 3 still fizzles too much even with maxed alt and spec alt. Also these guys spawn most frequently at the 2 gazebos outside the castle at the west end of the zone.

Been camping in CoM for about a week, in the left corner just zoneside from the arena. If that doesnt make sense, zone in, cross the bridge, through the gate, through the CY, left at the T and into the corner with all the damn ferns and crap. My friend was pulling from all over, CY, CY wings etc. We saw this guy twice, hits hard, was red to me at 40, and resists a lot, even after tash'd. Malosi fixed that though.

Where does this guy spawn? Anyone have a specific spot. Me and my guild were in the SE building for about 4 hours this past night and did not see him once.

I pulled from the stables area for most of level 40 (about 12 hours or so?). In all that time I saw the Army Behemoth once. It spawned in the easternmost room of the stables, in the NW corner, at the foot of the ramp that leads up to the raised section of room in south half. Only one sighting, I know, but hope this helps.
(Addendum: Was hunting Mist again tonight at level 45 and again saw the Behemoth in the easternmost building, this time at top of ramp. My bet is it can spawn at any of the 3 spawn points in this building.)
#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 07 2000 at 10:35 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hit enter, heh. And when you kill it, it should spawn another guy named SrArmyBehemoth.
#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 07 2000 at 10:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Heh, good idea.
#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 02 2000 at 11:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) yes i agree, this thing should be purple and gold plated, just like ff. it would look awesome
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 09 2000 at 9:11 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think it would be funnier if he looked like the behemoths from the ff series, but was dresed as army soldier ;)
