Bunch of us were ready to kill him, but one of the guys that had never been on a fay raid killed the dorf fishin in the lagoon. Now we gotta wait 5 hours for him to repop. And no, the GMs wouldn't repop him.

Killed him last night with only 16 players. Had 2 deaths (2 of our 3 clerics), and our druid completed her Epic. :o)

i didn't know about this guy untill 3 months after my incodent i fell off the maidens voyage and swam in the tim deep for 3 days and THANK GOD
i didn't see this guy or that would be the end of prackatoss. (my character)

I think i saw him when looking for the firepots. I'd never been to the firepots before and thought he was them so i swam down to where he was and when i reached the ocean floor...he was gone. I kept on seeing him and then when i watched him for a whiel i notived he moved. I decided he wasn't what i was looking for and was prolly only a fish lvl 1ish. Guess i was wrong :o)

Killed him last week on Solusek Ro to complete a druid Epic.

We had approximately 20 to 22 people for the encounter, just under 4 complete teams. Main tanks were level 57 warrior, 55 warrior (me), 54 warrior. The remaining melee types consisted of about 4 or 5 people ranging in level from only 46 to 51. We had One cleric in each group. One shaman or Druid in each group. Approximately one full nuke team. The entire level range was 46 to 60 but only about half of us were 54+.

We had TWO deaths, 47 mage early in the nuke stage, and the 57 warrior, seconds before his death.

The key to success was to have only the triggering druid in the lair with the Main tanks and any other tank types.

Everyone standing and all have at least 5 dummy buffs and everyone using jboots or goblin earring to replace dummy buff.

After melee rounds start, ALL preists enter the fight and begin chaining small heals and celestial on their party. Other healers casting their best heals as needed.

Only main tanks taunting.

At 80 health called in pets and hybrids to enter the fight.

At 65 called in int casters to nuke in melee range.

At 5% health he ran away, and got pimped.

Easy as pie.

I''m a level 20 rogue and I'm freaked out by all of this strategy talk on how to kill him. I just want to know where he spawns and if he is any threat to me if I wanted to swim out to the firepot room.

yes he can... learned that one the hard way =/

Just a cpl days ago our guild formed with 24 ppl to kill Fay..Melee by the water/shore where fay spawns, pure casters on the bridge, healers in the cave.Have to do dragon tactics for this mob. Melee start fight, 70% pets go in pulled back if attack, 50% casters blast in melee range,30% all blast then death.Have to make sure the melees get all the aggro, no ping pong..Dont let pets enter the fight in the very beginning cause u want melees to have most the aggro. Make sure all have 3-4 dummy buffs then all the rest, MR and FR are a must.

Dont bother even trying the real faydedar on a random 400hour-some-odd spawn time... unless you're really uber guild (but then you wouldn't bother anyway b/c you can trigger it). Trigger Faydedar via giving Dolgin Codslayer in Tim Deep (in the hidden oasis, near the inn on the shore) Froglok Essence which drops off Ulump Pujluk in swamp of no hope. hope this helps and GL

I am sorry, but whoever posted that 3 people killed this guy is not knowing this guy. Regardless of which one you fight you will not be able to kite him around and kill him. To get a spell to land you have to be in melee range. Get and melee range and he hits for 250 plus has a ae that is about 400 or so. Add fear into that and anyone under lvl 55 or so had a good chance of getting feared. Maybe they soloed a raptor or something, but they did not kill fay.
