These guys spawn regularly in Howling Stones. I'm pretty sure they are higher than lvl45. They are still dark blue to my 60 monk. They HT for 700+ in HS, which is a ***** when pulling. But great xp!

Ones that hit for 172 in Charasis are too high for DC.
Dire Charm

These guys are great for Dire Charm - when they are hasted they tear the crap out of everything. Great for Giant Fort farming!
not that hard

Was just in BW today for the first time. Saw him, pulled with dooming, then asystole, pet, fear, repeat. Went down easy for a 48 necro. dropped upheavel. Not too hard if ya know your stuff.

Fear Undead
# Oct 30 2002 at 10:44 PM Rating: Excellent
Well, as a 51 paladin, I love these guys. I started solo'n them just as I started working out of Buring Woods. At first wowsers, tough boney fellers.. but then I took a hint from my 85 lvl druid (only in her dreams) to cast Fear the Undead and just run and hit him as he runs around. I have a Cougar Claw earing so I save on mana.. when I get tired for running I just root the bugger and DW heal myself a little, take a drink, then do it all over again.

One thing to note here is that it is very nice to have a large area to fear and kill these undead. Otherwise in a closed in area, wowsers, too many chances for a run in with another baddie.

I love it here in BW now.. great exp and a lot of exercise with the keyboard...

oops.. also with all this running around it allows for Rodcet of Nife to proc more and that 2K+ HP these War Bones have it HELPS.. hehe..

Kind of reverse Kiting.. "hey I won't tell"
dire charm

if you dire charm this bad boy with a nec do your pet buffs effect it?

and would this be better or EoT?
Great pets

HP's...
# Feb 19 2002 at 10:28 AM Rating: Decent
It takes me 5 Ice Comets and a thunderstrike to finish so i would say about 5800 hp's.

# Nov 01 2001 at 7:55 AM Rating: Default
tough? hmm .. I made a different experience!
Me a lvl53 necro, soloed this bugger with my lvl49 pet without fear or a DoT. During this fight I had a little Sarnak Knight add but my pet managed all without any trouble! It droped a Finely Crafted Shan'tok ...
Yaulp IV

What are Warbones for are they needed for higher lvl necromancers to make thier pets or are they just bones that you sell to merchants. And what are the highest priced bones anyone has gotten so far?
#Anonymous, Posted: May 12 2001 at 6:33 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What are the highest priced bones War Bones because those are the best I have gotten so Far.
greater warbone

This guy is one of the toughest lvl 45 creatures I've ever seen. Thousands of hp and hits hard. First time we saw him he took out our group of 45-49 killing 2 and causing the others to zone.

I highly doubt you killed a level 45 mob in 3 hits at level 15. Are you sure it wasn't a lesser war boned skeleton?
RE:RE: Tough Skels
# Sep 25 2001 at 6:54 AM Rating: Default
I think he probably meant to say level 51. These guys are tough.. and way underconned.

Can't even kill one of these with 3 plague spells. Takes about 4 and a half plague spells so probably has about 6k hitpoints. Could be a little more but I doubt it. This is a monk mob and uses monk skills while attacking. Blocks, jumpkicks, the works. Stat debuff these with cripple and they are nothing but bags of hitpoints.

i soloed this mob at lvl 51 with a pet out and it took practically 4 blue bubs of mana... i was mostly using (malosi, turgurs, buffed pet, epic dot, and jbb) took roughly 5-10mins for me to down him... but all and all was not *too* hard of a mob... if i was not ready for him it could have been bad tho.
