Kunark expansion info: The forest giants of Kunark are unique in that they are susceptible to stuns, including the mesmerize line of spells from enchanters. Ancients drop a number of items including Giant foremans Tunics, Giant Lord's Tunics and various large axes. The ones who are higher then level 44 also have a chance to drop level 50+ spells.

Could anyone tell me what sort of damage these guys hit for? I'm a cleric and was interested in the tree weave for my sk buddy... He's 37 and i'm 40.. we take out things a bit bigger than ourselves quite often, but these look to be pushing the limit looking at their level, but hey, we killed a 42 shaman type a couple levels ago :) So, any info on what sort of damage output before we try tackling these guys would be much appreciated.

They hit for roughly 130dmg per hit but they don't swing at you that often.

I hunted these guys to try to get my spells. Well all I can say is that it is like finding hens teeth. A friend had told me the spells drop like water off the ancients so I came, I saw, we killed everything that moved. I play with a group of 4, (2)rangers(46), Druid (51), Necro (me 52). We have been doing the Fort for about a month now.
Net effect:
These totals include all giants includeing Named.
Total giants killed: 2000+
Total spells dropped: 5, 2 Wiz, 2 Mag, 1 Necro
5 Treeweave, go figure
The spell drops off these guys are very rare to say the least. The exp has been great and the Rangers have gotten 3 lvl's here.

Get real Willya? After 2000+ Kills your 2 Rangers shoulda been level 64. Maybe you meant 200+ kills.
If all I got was 3 levels after 2000+ kills, I'd quit the game.

Does that seem about right? The ancients seem to have about double what the rest have.

Got my lvl 51 Druid spell Circle of Winter off one of these. Wasn't expecting it but hey.

killed about 10 of these and...woot! he dropped the lvl 53 druid spell, Spirit of Scale =)
