I finally decided to get on with this quest so I took my shammy out to WW zone to find him. I set up by the pond near the fort and killed everything in site for about 30mins. By this time ive started getting bored so i logged on my druid, and there he is on track. I followed my track untill it said that I was standing ontop of the hextracer and still I cant see it. Turns out he is inside the hill im standing on. Ive had exactly the same trouble when i was looking for brutlings with my hubbys monk. Alot of mobs seem to get stuck inside this hill for some reasone. Anyway I sat down *on top of him* and he started to cast upon me so I was able to drag him out into the open. think you might be able to do it with an AE spell, just make sure the dmg wont take him below 50 or youll never see him. hope this might be of help to some poor iksar shammys out there

Spent 4 hours trying to find one of these... Head just outside the 'door' to the giant fort. I basically set up and performed mass genocide. After 4 hours, I finally saw one. It was indeed around the location N1500, P1000. Good luck.

I went by the fort, looking around, and saw him spawn. i went up the hill with the water fall and follwed stream to the pond, turn to the right and there are 2 rocks next to each other, he spawns in between them. not sure how long he stays before he wanders cause he was dead within a few seconds.

Yes, they often are near of giant fort.

These little suckers aggro on my 27th level DESK and don't go down without a pretty good fight. A real annoyance when you're trying to fight giants and these buggers and casting Drowsy and other junk on you.
