I have spent two weeks in Nurga clearing the entire zone multiple times and have yet to see a rockchanter pop in this zone. Have they been moved or is the slate chant rock dropping off another creature? Any help?
I just killed dozens of wandering Rockchanters with my wizard without any luck, not even one of the other colored chant rocks dropped. Then I went to the cavesystem where Chief RokGus spawns. Killed first Rockchanter, got my tan chant rock... Second kill I got the green chant rock...

Just keep killing stonechanters, you'll get the slate rock eventually.

I play a Druid/Warrior/Shaman all lvl 49 anyone think we would have a Problem killing em?

I was just in Nurga trying to get A Chant Rock, couldn't find any Goblin Rockchanters. I did find A Goblin Stonechanter. The first one I killed droped a blue colored Chant Rock. Killed two more and got a green one and a tan colored on the other.
I didn't see the Stonechanter on the list of mobs for Mines of Nurga.

Well i figured out that you need only a chant rock of these guys and not a 'Slate chant rock'. But i have killed about 50 of these rockchanters now and they have yet to drop a chant rock (tan in colour) i have gotten blue and green so they do exist. If anyone has one of these rocks cause i know people hit this place for sarnak faction i am offering 1k for it on Terris Thule server send a tell thanx.

Anyone know where to find goblin rochchanters inside nurga? since the last patch I cant find them and the other ones don't seem to drop the SLATE CHANT ROCK needed for shaman quest.

they nuke for 175+ with 96 save magic...hurts badly at level 28 (solo)
Not sure about the other colors, but the Tan colored ones is for the Shaman Quest "Cudgel of the Hierophant" You use it to make part of a potion that you turn in to the Coereced Channeler in Dalner (need enchanter to help with this part) and in return for the potion you make (Potion of the Swirling Mists), you get one of the skulls you need.

I hab an 33 Druid, full mana and not the worst stuff of items, but that Goblin here tryed really to kill me, got me down to 5 percent hp. But before he cast an Spell to dispell my clarity. Only reason was zoning ) Think it´s an level 33 caster or so.

I was a lvl33 Rgr, well equiped. This guys kept hitting me for 200dmg, I got him down to half life, he healed himself, he resisted all spells, then casually killed me. Im now a lvl32 Rgr.

I had a group of lvl 25s and i dont know what class they were but at the Ent. next to Lake of ill omen we kicked its azz but he casted a spell on me that did about 200 dmg. to me and i had to zone and i got no EXP!

Ran into one today in FM with my 40 Monk on my way to fort. Started whacking on him and he started healing himself. I whacked, he healed. This went on for a good 5 minutes. Jumped up 4 pts in 1hb, 2 pts in h2h before he ran out of heals. Lots of fun.

Every now and then you can sit at the giant fort and watch your wizards health go from full to dead, Just because this guy walks up. You should watch out and stay away if possible.

If you plan on fighting these or any other casting gobbos I suggest throwing some resist gear on. All cleric spells are magic based therefore the only resist you should take consideration into is SVM. Cleric spells are easily resisted as most other magic based spells with decent-moderate (60-70+) SVM. Good luck, don't let those gobbos get the best of you. ;)

I picked it up, thinking it would be good for a chanter, but it doesn't seem to have any stats. Anyone figure this thing out yet?

I would like to correct something about level range these guys aren't with a maximum of 33. I am a 37 druid and got my *** whooped by one of them. He struck me dowmn within 15 secs after he was rooted and snared, their casting range is enourmous. I rooted one in front off the hill and then ran over the hill to get out of range. Then got hit about 5 times with wrath within 15 secs. Impossible you say, no absolutely not. So these guys are not recommended to solo, you need basher and stunner. They also have some greatr heals in them

watch out, these guys run as fast or faster than sow, i ran (with sow) trying to get away and stoped to try to mez him, as soon as i stoped he started attacking me, watch out

They are hard, 24 Iskar warrior 739. He hit me with wrath spell bout 200, 3 times. We were all 24 - 28. We had 3 healers though. He lasted bout 30 seconds. Got lots decent amount of hp. I probably dished him near 500 alone in that time. One caught me alone and nuked me once then ran away.... Took half my hp with that spell. Wouldn't recomend soloing it because it tried to heal itself many times. but seemed to get interupted by my hits. Most powerful magic I have seen at my level. :) Dropped a couple plat and was good exp.

hehehe it was funny im a lvl 40 enchanter and my bro a lvl 35 necro go here for the easy xp so as we were fighting instead of mezzin the rock chanter i charmed him well he broke charm and blasted me a few times b4 i could re mez him i was down to 2 bubs of life when i finally chramed him again after the mez wore off this funny little fella started healing me heheheh nice heal they have ohh and he healed the necro pet several times so we decided he was well worth keeping around so i kept him as a pet for about 2 hours i gave him clarity and insight because hey your healer can never have enough mana ROFL (please excuse the run on sentence hehehe)

This things are evil hit a lvl 33 Necro party mate with a DD or DOt called "wrath of Suffering" , killed him instantly the necro had over 75% health before the strike.

It's just some cleric Wrath spell. But it sure does sting like all get out. A few shots of that got a 35 monk down to about 1 bubble.
