i was soloing there with my lvl 40 gnome rog, and one of these guys killed me. NUked for over 100, and has DS and his pet casts and hits!

The minimum levels on these and the burynai slaves are mis-stated. I began hunting in here with my necro at 29, and in fact the majority of the spawns (in the 2 spawn slave pit and other spots I hunt at least) are level 30-31, though they do come higher now and then.

They are mages. I'm sure it was the earth pet (which is the only pet they cast) that did the rooting.

These are mages that cast a nasty AOE spike rain spell and can root. If you pull more than one gob in the slave areas take the slaves out first or they will chew you up fast.
