In the Dreadlands: A rare spawn at the giants houses on the north side of the zone.

In Al'Kabor's Nightmare: Hits for a max ~13,000 and is slowable; PHs are the angry mountain giants on the Dreadlands isle; casts a 25k DD with a knockback. Note: For all map points of nameds in Al'Kabor's Nightmare (for "alkabormare.txt" map files), see this quest entry.

Killed one that was yellow to my 41 yesterday. Was blue to my 45 partner so it was somewhere between 42-44.

My party and i killed the patriarch the other night and he dropped a giant sized monocle, does anyone know if this is for a quest, or just a crappy item?

After pulling the giant fortress in dreads for about 4 hours, keeping the spawn broke, the Patriarch finally spawned next to the spit inside. He coned even to our group druid who is lvl 45. It was a tough kill, tons of hit points. But luckily it droped the treeweave, I lost the roll of course :(. About 10 mins after, another Patriarch spawned in the yard, lvl 43 or 44, coned yellow to me and i am lvl 42. This one droped a lords tunic, giant monicale, and an opal. I think we were pretty lucky to see 2 of them like that, and so close in spawn time. INCREDIBLE!!

I can confirm that the tree weave still drops from these guys as of last night.

Yes he does. Killed him twice and he droped it both times. Not sure if it was just luck though. BTW he hits pretty hard (double hit 120) so make sure you have your buffs up.

Our group has been camping him the last few days. We have killed him 12 times and haven't seen the tree weeve drop. We were wondering if his drop table has been nerfed. We can confirm he is 43rd to 47th level.

I have fought them at 43 and found both white and yellow. Level must be 43 - 47.

Here is an update for you. Me and a Mag friend of mine killed one yesterday that conned white to me at 43. So, I guess the range is 43 to 47.
Also, watch out fighting in the dreadlands in general. There is currently a bad teleporting bug there. MOBs are in one place one second and another place the next. It's not directly related to lag because the Magician's pet ends up no where near the MOB when the MOB teleports. I died to a Patriarch once that did this. He hit me 3 times for 113 before I could react. Luckily, a very nice GM gave me a full exp. resurrection since I died due to a game bug. I dinged to 43 on the next kill ). Hopefully, Verant will be able to get this fixed soon. It can be quite dangerous for us casters who just can't take the hits.

He also drops the Forest Loop (an earing), ac 2 +3 dex/agi/wis (all/all)

They go as low as 45, not always 47.

My buddies and I killed him twice. The first time he didn't drop anything significant. The next time we killed him he dropped the Giant lord's tunic (ac 18 I beleive). Of course I failed to win the roll :(

They drop tree weeves as rare drop, great item 25ac 10str all but pure casters

I have mostly seen them spawn in the area around the Giant Fortress... be warned, they have tons of hitpoints.

I have more often seen him spawn at the Giant fortress in the snow covered mountains in the south central section
