DIE WOLF!
Great quest get you lvl 5 and full armor for you.

At lvl 1 i took my beastlord and killed nothing but these npcs till lvl 5.You collect 8 curscale hides from these and you get backpack from npc inside east calabis ask someone for his name.Once you get backpack you combine 8 in it and turn it in for exp, loot, random armor pieces.I was able get all items by lvl 5 except head piece. This is awesome way jump to lvl 5 fast and make good loot also.Once you hit lvl 5 had to pit and solo till 9 or grp as much as possible.I was able lvl 10 in less than 7 real hrs of gameplay. One last note you are able solo yellows at lvl 9 with your pet woot.So dont listen to any of these other posts cause you lvl real fast doing these npcs.
these guys suck

my necro can't even venture out of the city to find prey without pulling four of these guys and because im lvl one have no armour and only 2 spells needless to say they romp on me.... i really hate these guys... and curscale armour nifty as it may be is useless to necro's the only reason to do the quest is for the coin you get and the coin from selling armour... then you can buy spells (which necros have way way way too many of)

Ok, i have so many things to say but i can only pick a few. number 1 they are the worst thing in the zone, big deal if u pull 3, send a pet to kick there asses u necros have them pets, use em . number 2 i agree with the SK gets his spells at 9 . number 3 try to kill scorpses they have sweet EXP for a lvl 1,

Too many Spells?
Perhaps you would be happier being a SK? 1st spell at level, 9 I think.
Good Exp

these thing will help each other out when fighting, a swarm will attack you at a time, but if you have enough HP, these guy provide good exp, and see piles of hem left behind.

What class are you? I'm an isksar monk taking these on one by one at level 2 kicking on and backup up to the road back to the guards. After getting level 3 I've been using them to improve my dodge. I had 5 on me and they rarely hit and when they did for not more then 4 points usually 1 though. Currently working on lvl 5 while sitting down waiting for my dodge to cap out for the level before I kill them only takes about 2 hits as before where it took about 3 minutes a peice
Massive group aggro

I was fighting these at lvl 4 when no lie, I was ganged up by around 15 or so of them... I have a screenshot of the corpse pile. I was happy though, as I was working on my offense skill (SK) by punching and killed em all w/o a problem
Psycho mob

These little critters bring new meaning to the words "ganging up" They can easily create a neverending battle for you, and are mucho aggro. Luckily they are weak and have coin occaisionally.
Aggressive

Might be that I'm wearing a lot of Curscale, but even when they were green at 4th level they'd attack me unprovoked and gang up as well. That said, they never instigated a fight when I was 5th level.
Baby Dinos

Dang Scaled Wolf Cubs

For some reason it is incredibly easy to start a train with these guys. It seems like four/five times out of ten I wind up getting ganged by three, fleeing, and then starting a train, even when I try to avoid them

*mutter*
Save those Curscale Pelts!
# Apr 30 2000 at 4:31 PM Rating: Excellent
As a new Iskar character, you'll want to save the Curscale pelts for Curscale armor. The quest is to combine 8 of the pelts for the merchant in the building across from the Monk's guild, then he'll give you about a bubble of experience (at low level) a gold or two, and a random piece of Curscale armor, which is slightly better than cloth and sometimes offers some Fire REsistance bonuses, as well as having low weight. If you see one of these, kill it. They also will occasionally carry some small coin.
