The Froglok Forager is found near the same spot as the Froglok Hunter, he is a rather common spawn (though midly less often than the Hunter).

He carries an ancient medallion of his people, which with the Medallion from the Hunter is given to Emperor Ganak will yield the Trakanon Idol.

The Trakanon Idol is the key for entry into Old Sebilis, an old stronghold of Venril Santhir, now occupied by Frogloks and a dragon.

Had the forager down in less than 20 minutes at that loc. 2nd forager about 20 minutes later. Hope the hunter shows up, too.

Tracking

The easist way I have found to find the forager is to track him from the cave by the Swamp of No Hope zone. He's usually in that area, and can even be tracked by a bard (who has the shortest tracking range of the tracking classes.)

The hunter can be tracked similarly from the Emerald Jungle zone.

I've had no problem finding both of these when I needed them, this way.

foragers

ive killed many many many :) foragers. they occasionally drop kunark based spells and can spawn anywhere in zone. ive pulled them 200feet from ej ent and from the aquaducts near seb. my advice to the puller is have track and sow :p these dont run that fast so easy to outrun, i pull these by back pedalling or walking with sow. they double for 117 and bash for up to 37. in about 30+hours of playing with these ive seen several meditative blankets (titail is the common of the rares ) 2 regen bp's 2 ghostly robes, a hangman noose, knotted warclub, grim pauldrons and a few other things drop. if you can get a good ranger or *shrug* druid to pull chain pull these they arent that bad of xp either.
if your on tholuxe Paells, the appropriate lvl (45+), have a healer and im not busy ill gladly help you get your keys.

Hunter

I got the hunter on Track as soon as I zoned in from Swamp of No Hope... They have a lot of hps and do not run as fast as my travelers boots...
I pulled him closer to the zone and found 2 spectral keepers to cast on me at the same time... Zoned out with no problem and decided to wait until i was 46+ "better damage song"

Fun Time with the forager...

I am a lowly level 45 druid that was feeling especially adventurous. I zoned into TT from Emerald Jungle and saw the forager on track. He conned white. I thought "let's start on that seb key" and proceeded to track him down. I found him to the north and east of the EJ zone, near a little area of ruins with other frogs. The other frogs do not aggro if you only aggro the forager. Anyway, the LONG battle ensued. I only have 180 wisdom and i was at 80% mana when i started. He resists A LOT, about 4 drifting deaths and 40 something roots, i'm serious, the fight took 2 ensnares. He DOES NOT run when low on health by the way. So there he was, with no visible life left, and me with not enough mana to root when the inevitable happened, "Your root has worn off" "Your Ensnare has worn off." He beat me to a bloody pulp (i was really low on health too).

I was really pissed off, went all the way back to TT and saw a 53 necro sitting around. She didn't have her seb key either so she agreed to help me. Found him, she feared and DOT'd and he died pretty quick =) I was so happy I went off and grabbed another forager for her.

Summary: Has a lot of hp, 5500 to 6500. Highly magic resistant. Does not cast. Hits about 117 or so max. A 45 (or maybe 44) druid CAN solo him if fully prepared and lucky. If you have ES Vambraces, it would be cake, but would take a long time. Off to find the hunter now, so I can start being a sebilis taxi :)
Location?

Does anyone know the Approx. Location of these little Froggies, and are they part of a large camp?
RE: Location?
# Feb 28 2001 at 5:17 PM Rating: Good
the forager and hunter can be tracked from many places in the zone. But a good spot I found to track both is around the lake. A good loc is around pos1900 pos2400. If one is not on track, and no named, check closer to Sebilis...southeast.
Spell Drop

Info

Speedy Devil...hits pretty hard...one thing i saw is he walks around the zone, not hops like the other frogs. His spawn time (like the Hunter) is 2 minutes and hes the PH for various other named MOBs. I dont think he will Agro other frogs either because he never did for me unless i got too close...one word of warning : He can and very rarely WILL Gate hes done it to me but once. Seems to have about 4-5k HP also so Soloing takes a while
Natural SoW
# Aug 15 2000 at 12:47 AM Rating: Decent
I've just confirmed that the forager does not have sow, I suppose it's possible I didn't have my run button turned on, sorry for the confusion.
SoW speed? not.
# Aug 13 2000 at 3:37 AM Rating: Decent
No, Froglok Forager and Hunter do not run at SoW speed or faster. I just pulled and soloed 2 foragers about 15 minutes ago, and easily stayed ahead of them. In weeks past, I have pulled dozens of foragers and hunters to my group.
#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 11 2000 at 5:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This guy has a natural speed faster than SoW (ie root and snare won't debuff it).

forager
# Jun 18 2000 at 9:00 AM Rating: Decent
in my opinion this guy is easier to find then the hunter... and a upside to hunting them is that they DO have a chance to drop spells.. athough after killing about 30 ofem I only saw 1 druid spell
Drops
# May 11 2000 at 2:16 PM Rating: Decent
It drops a Spectral Bow damage 19 delay 50 range 150 warrior, Ranger, and Bard only and a medallion of Kunzar for the key quest. The hunter has the other medallion. They are an instant spawn appearently.
RE: Drops
# Jun 20 2003 at 12:25 PM Rating: Default
