The Froglok Forager is found near the same spot as the Froglok Hunter, he is a rather common spawn (though midly less often than the Hunter).

He carries an ancient medallion of his people, which with the Medallion from the Hunter is given to Emperor Ganak will yield the Trakanon Idol.

The Trakanon Idol is the key for entry into Old Sebilis, an old stronghold of Venril Santhir, now occupied by Frogloks and a dragon.

Forager cycle

Did his cycle for harbinger dronik to get the iksar illusion mask on live.

His cycle has a few particular details:

1- He has 16 named mobs who shares the cycle with him.
2- You get a named about every ~6 kills on average. There can be more than one up simultaneously. I've also seen a named spawn a named but it is rare.
3- Once you kill a named/forager, the next one repops instantly.
4- He roams quite far.
5- He probably has at least a dozen different spawn points in the zone
6- His area is HUGE. I've seen him roam just about anywhere except the 4 extreme corners of the zone and east of the lake. Seen him all the way east to lativ tower and the entrance to the ruins of sebilis and almost all the way to the north/south zone wall.
7- The cycle is somewhat dynamic. There is only one forager initially and the more foragers you kill, the more simultaneous spawns you get. I'd say you get an additional one every 6-12 foragers killed up to a maximum of ~12 up at a time. When there is one he can take a while to track down but with 12 up it wasnt all that uncommon to attack a forager and get a bunch of foragers adds. I have a screenshot fighting 6 at once. This resets back to 1 when server resets. Apparently this was to help people get keyed for sebilis on kunark releases.
8- Other frog shamans will SOW them so keep that in mind.
9- Track is pretty much mandatory if the cycle is at a low number or you want to find a particular named. The zone is big and they're almost all over. He seems to be most common around the river leading to the lake though but you'll want to cycle the whole zone to make sure you didn't miss anything.
10- The zone is so big it is pretty much impossible to pull to a static spot. Better track them down, kill on the spot and then move to the next one on track and repeat.
11- If there are only a few foragers on track, sort by "normal" for an easier time finding them. Once there are plenty, sort by distance and kill the nearest ones as fast as possible for quicker results.
12- The odds of getting a particular named seem to be 1/16 except maybe for harbinger dronik. Killed 86 named to get him and I've seen all named 2-10 times but not him. Could be just bad RNG but illusion masks tend to be painful camps so I wouldn't be surprised if his spawn rate was lower.

Good luck.

Decided to get my Trak Idol last night and ran in to TT to kill froggies. Zone'd in both up in usual spots (forager near SoNH zone and hunter closer to ruined wall). Simply pulled them to wall, root, dot, dead.

Forager melee'd max 188, the one time he got a freebie on me, Hunter hit 166 max. Definitely higher level than hunter which dropped with about 3 dot rounds (Drifting + Drones). Forager also had higher resists of magic-based spells.

Not difficult for 52 druid wearing mostly defiant armor. Anyway, might want to add the tradeskill quests materials found & defiant armor to drop lists.

Forager dropped:

Medallion of Kunzar
Spectral Bow
Flawed Defiant Silk Wristwraps
Fulginate Ore
Crude Animal Pelt

Hunter dropped:

Medallion of Nathsar
Spectral Bow
Crude Silk

52 Wanderer Rhain
The Rathe

Forager cycle gone mad
# Jul 17 2006 at 3:27 PM Rating: Decent
I went to do the forager cycle a couple weeks ago, to try and get the Ikky mask for my main. I found the forager easy enough, in his usual area, and chant kited him down pretty quickly...

Then it all went nuts. Foragers started spawning rapidly, I think at one time there were about 8 on my track along with a couple named from the cycle. I agroed them and kept kiting; I had the mask in about 45 minutes. It was insane; I'd be kiting about 6 and see two more walk by that I'd tag. I'm not sure what's going on, it was about 3am and I thusly forgot to bug report anything.

But this isn't the first time I've seen more than one up at a time. When I've done this camp in the past there have been about 3 up at once now and again. But I've never seen it quite this crazy.

only took less than 20 mins to get an ikky mask with good dps burning...

So I figured I'd drop by my old friend, Mr. Forager, and maybe work on the named cycle with my druid, get some exp and the like ...

I track him down, I find him, I cast snare, and get a message that he's immune to changes in his run speed. WTF? When did THIS happen? To add salt to the injury he runs FASTER than SoW, and can keep up wtih Great Wolf.

I've actually seen that happening with more and more mobs. I guess not enough people quit the game for WoW, so they're making it more unplayable.

The locations posted are right: +2500, +3000. You'll see some empty ruins. Lots of crap roams around there, so be careful. I wandered around the ruins for about 1 hour before I finally saw him.

When he popped I casted Divine Barrier and put on my J-boots, then headed straight north for the edge of the zone. The forager faced a nasty cycle of root/nuke/clinging darkness treats, until he died.

The sucker has a lot of hit points. It took me awhile, but I had KEI to keep me sharp =)

OK, this was a pain in the ***** but, he was trapped under the world. Tried the sneaking under thing posted below, but that got annoying. (And maybe was someone being a smart ***** hehe) Anyway, here's what I did. I tried /target froglok forager and /target froglok_forager, even /target a_froglok_forager. None work. So, being on my bard. I charmed a pet, and tracked him. then we I got close enough I did a /pet attack froglok forager till my trusty Frog said Attcking a froglok forager master, or something. Then, I assisted my pet. Lo and behold. I now had froglok forager targetted. So, I chanted him down, pet couldn't attack. But, of course, the frogger could smack me. Anyway, After he was dead I couldn't loot, so I Waited like 5 min and there he was ABove groud to my delite. Killed him, buddy is getting key right now.

Am leading a training raid Sunday for the Forager cycle - once saw an incredibly detailed guide on the cycle, where-who-when, including list of all named for both Hunter and Forager cycles, named list above, but this one even had links for each item named were known to have dropped.

Anyone have link to that guide - would be most appreciated. Doing this Sunday May 16 at 4pm EST.

I had the same problem on Morell-Thule. Must have killed 10 hunters and various named last night for a couple hours. No forager seen with 2 druids and a bard tracking/combing the zone. This morning I killed 3 more hunters with my bard, one after the other. No foragers....

How do you break something thats been an accepted part of the game since Kunark??

I think they break things on purpose and rarely, if ever fix them, so we will want to play EQ2 where service is supposed to be "better".

I will verify that last night (on Morrel-Thule server) I was looking for a Forager for a guildie. Previously (last time was about 2 months ago) I found them 1/2 down the river without a problem, but last night could not find a single one in a several hours.

He not broke on Tribunal. I logged on today after not finding him last night and he came up on bard track. Tracked him for about 30mins and couldnot find. Guildie suggested he fell under the world, so I went to zone out to swamp of no hope, but I didn't zone!! Kept running into the cave and found an opening to the right side. WEnt through it and it let me go under the world. Still had him on track so I went looking for him. found him, killed him and loot medallion. Another one spawned about 10 mins later. Did have Levi on, think this is required because if I ran backwards it makes me go down and the game would just respawn me above ground. Bad glitch, but it worked out in the end.

I have to agree with you on this one DangerWiz. I spent 3 hours in TT runnin around lookin for forager mobs last night and no luck. Granted - I only had bard track - but i combed every inch of that place for hours and saw none of them up.

I have the list of the named mobs in the cycle as well and none of them where up either. This is my 3rd toon i'm trying to key for Seb and have never had this much trouble. Oh well - guess I'll wait for the next patch and see what happens on the zone repop.

I camped this cycle for about 3 hours and no Forager. Killed at least 10 Hunters and 5+ other named, as well as killing anything in sight. Someone else who was there when I came said they had been there for 3-4 hours as well, so thats 7+ hours with no spawn. I reported a bug and petitioned, but of course never will hear anything back I'm sure.

Tried for seb key tonight with my paly friend, his chanter and myself, a ranger. Strolled in and got 2 hunter in like 5 min. Spent then next 7 hours seeing nothing but hunters. Not one bloody forager. I see posts about the "cycles," are there two separate cycles? Should we keep killing hunters until a forage pops or just let the hunters depop and wait for a forager? Is there a way to switch whatever cycle you're on. I got good and tired of killing a hunter or named (crap for named's btw) just to see another stupid hunter pop. Any input greatly appreciated

63 Warrior who just finished getting his key to Old Sebilis (never had a need to go there before, but I want to participate in a Trakanon takedown coming up).

When you enter Trakanon's Teeth from Swamp of No Hope, follow the stream to the lake. At the halfway point between the lake and the entrance from Swamp of No Hope, the Forager and the Hunter will periodically cross the stream or follow it.

I've hunted them both and killed them both multiple times now, for myself and for friends wanting the Key to Old Sebilis. A tracker is nice, but not necessary. Patience? Only patience I needed was the 10 minutes or so it took for either the Hunter or the Forager to wander my way. They probably have placeholders, as I was killing everything that wandered in sight to pass the time, but again, if you're doing that, you don't even need to worry about what the placeholders are.

OK listen up this is exactly how this spawn / camp work. I'm sick of reading noobs posting wrong info so here gos. Ok U need a tracker 100% I do this cycle with a 65 war and 62 druid , prety much farming the ikky mask and BP , OK track down a forager , kill it , it will instantly spawn another forager , kill that , spawns another one kill it. Etc. After a random amount of foragers , normaly 3 - 4 it will spawn a named , kill named , loot crap, REPEAT. At some points after you kill a named a forager will not appear , You will have to go all the way down neer seb to find it , then just evac back to No Hope and start again... on foragers , then named ETC .. there you go.

we were in TT today to raid the foragers and hunters for the sebilis keys, and we got several tips on what the PH's were, and so on. What turned out to be true tho, was that the placeholder for the forager was Harbinger Djorik. For the hunter, its Harbinger Josk.

hope this helps.

Forager Location
# Sep 03 2002 at 7:53 PM Rating: Excellent
Having roamed throughout the zone, I've seen the forager several times between the cockatrice ruins and the ruins near 2700,3333.

My best luck however has been at the river at *1800,2900*. From this location I saw the forager STANDING within a hundred units or so straight south (about 1600,2900). The forager will also roam past this location at the river alot, and he aggroed on me three times while I was here in under an hour.

After a while of randomly roaming I finally found the hunter STANDING at 2550,3400. I stood right next to him to get this loc.
