In Misty Thicket at the northern most tower on the wall (the tower with Deputy Felp in it) on top of the tower two bixie Spawn points are there. (spawns bixies, bixie drones, and "a bixie queen") drops normal bixie drops, while honeycombs are a drop, it is very ucommon to get one. this is the best place for low levels to get the honeycombs. (my lvl 8 cleric 1 hit kills them with Furor)
took me forever to find the spot all I got from posts were "they fall on you" and "they fall from the sky" when they come from the top of the tower.
Took me a while running around (without a tracker) looking for them in EC, but eventually came across three of them flying in tight formation roughly west at neg 60, pos 1990.
So i was sitting there grooving on the rock in front of lavastorm picking the lint out of my toes when BAHM!...Bixie Babe slaps me with her Honeycomb!....i say wat up Bixie Mamma?......She did not take to kindly to that and continued to rape my A$$ with her honeycome stick.......i turned around grabbed her wings and plucked them off.Bixie Mamma then started to gnaw at my kneeecaps.I took my rusty Dagger and skined her hide.........i now have a lovely Bixie rug by my fireplace:)

So i suggest you get the best items in the world and be level 60 to die again for 100000000000000 damage or whatever I said before
Look, i'm a rogue, and i go every where hiding and sneaking, and I have never seen a Bixie, but i'm guessing if they are here, they are near LAVASTORM!
I agree, I am also a DE and have never seen one walk, crawl or fly through Nek forest. The only place i have ever seen them is in Misty Thicket. Maybe the Leatherfoot Raiders keep them killed off in Nek. They try to kill everything else so why not the Bixies too.
iam a lvl 5 cleric on the nameless and i have never seen a bixie in nek and thats the only place i have killed stuff in so either they our avoiding me or there isnt ne cuz i have covered that place from top to bottem left to right
Trolling for Mooto the other day in Misty Thicket (An issue of personal revenge, somewhat petty but enjoyable nonetheless) I was somewhat foolishly attacked by a small parade of Bixies. Rather unusual, two of the smaller ones and one of the Bixie Drones jumped my person, and in three powerful shots my pet slaughtered them before I could so much as stab at one.
I quickly scooped two into my backpack and, while waiting for Mooto, tore off their wings and stingers. The wings I pocketed, as they took up little room and could be easily stacked on one another, but the stingers I eyed with distaste, and threw at a tree. As I turned to hunt my shaman nemesis, I took a double-take, and stared in question at the stingers in the grass.
As is common in our peculair world, things sometimes appear in odd ways when seen from afar; and while when held in my hand or in my bag the stingers looked as useless as any other item, when laying on the floor they appeared to the eye as though they were daggers.
Be my guest if you're sceptical.
This of course led me to the question of wether or not they could be used as some sort of weapon. As almost every usable item in our economical world has some use for either someone else (I threw away much rat meat before associating it with sandwiches), and these stingers seem to have no quest associated to them, I began experimenting in my tailoring bag with various things. I tried a score of different items with a bixie stinger and a silk cord, looking for a dagger-like item, and even tried forging it in the style one would a Dagger or Skinning Knife, replacing the block of ore with the stinger. But to no avail.
If there is a use for these stingers I don't know of, it would be very helpful to know so I can cease this obsession with making forged or tailored throwing daggers, of which I am imagining the use must be. If not, attempt something yourself, as my knack for recipes is nowhere near those of you tailors and blacksmiths more skillful then myself.
I have found out that the bixies in EC drops BRONZE weapons! ye hear me. bronze! Bronze are rare drop, but i have got it on several occations. I have also never seen a bixie.. I have spent a toon of time, running around, getting lost, finding everything that I can kill there, and never a single bixie.
You Cannot be serious that u didnt see any bixies in Nek forest i am a Half Elf Rogue , So i used Hide and Sneak to go in , I was jus passing through , only time there . ALL i saw was ghouls and Bixies .
You ran through Kithicor forest, not Nektulos forest, I have leveled at least 5 Dark Elf characters in Nektulos forest and I know everything that spawns there, and bixies arent one of them.

P.S. At one time there might of actually had bixies in Nektulos forest, if thats the case, they have been removed a long time ago.
One "a griffin" mob (approx LV34) will spawn in East Commons if you locate and kill all six "a bixie" mobs. If you do not see any "a bixie" mobs in the zone, start killing "a willowisp" mobs (there are six "a willowisp" spawns in the zone).
"a willowisp" mobs may spawn anywhere, however, all six "a bixie" mobs spawn together at approx +250, +1250 (directly between the Empty hut and the plague huts in the center of the zone (numbers 9 and 10, respectively on the EQ Atlas map)).
The "a bixie" mobs will wander the zone for about 15 minutes, then despawn, immediately replaced with "a willowisp" mobs.
If you kill all six "a bixie" mobs before they despawn, one "a griffin" mob and five "a willowisp" mobs will spawn. The "a griffin" mob will wander the zone for about an hour if left alive, then despawn. When the "a griffin" mob is killed/despawns, one "a willowisp" will spawn to join the other five in the zone.
So, there ya go. Try it out and you'll make that griffin spawn every time. It helps to have someone with Tracking to assist you in locating the mobs quickly.
Enjoy!

I can indeed vouch for this information. I have just spent the best part of 3 hours running around EC tracking willowisps. The bixies then spawn and I even caused a griffin to appear to panic the younguns running around EC. Felt kinda bad about that but when the griffin headed towards the tunnel where the auctions are going on some nice high level player killed it.
I needed bixie parts to make crunchies but they drop more wings honyecombs and stingers. But hey while killing the willowisps to get the bixies to spawn I made about 15pp from the lightstones and greater lightstones they drop.
I saw 3 willowisps attacking a 9th level druid but they didn't agro on me. They do however have a lot of hps so took some time to dispatch.
I can also vouch for the fact that the orcs kill the bixies. One KSed me!
Right about the bixie dust.. I kill bixies in Misty Thicket everyday and have yet to see anything spawn...For all those who have never seen a bixie.. just run thru Kithicor or Misty Thicket.. You will have a train of them quickly.. they attack anyone regardless of your level and are easy to kill.
Really? well, just the other day I found a spawn and ended up killin about 8 of the little buggers (they're just fun to kill, I can't help myself). I think that with the yelling that goes on when ONE griffin spawns, there would have been a lot of yelling from 8 griffins.
These guys have started to drop bronze weapons in the east commons...I guess someone had to since bronze weapons are so under-used...but hey a bronze battle axe is a nice newbie weapon for sure and it seels for 3pp
