My 45 cleric soloed him. Took 4 spells 1st fight (3 Retributions 501dd each and 1 Wrath 218dd). Second was different, he resisted 1st Retribution, landed 2 next, then another Wrath, then a Retribution for 406, followed by a 31. HEHE the 31 killed him. I kept him rooted while all this was going on. Seems he has from 1700 - 1950 hitpoints. Being a cleric, with low AC, he did land few blows, he hit me for 30 - 75dmg. Good Luck.

I'm a 31 wizard and was wondering how often the batskull earing drops on this guy? and would I be able to take this guy? Or with a little help from a caster or tank 34 or so?

otay...me fought himz...furst time keeled him, lost two bubz of helth...then a 49 bard wurkz with me en we keelz him lotz...den when he leeves i trie wunce en me almust haz him ded but he heelz himself tree timez den keelz Blehh...weerd ting wuz me slammed him duh tree timez he did it en it didn't eben say "The Great Oowamp regains his concentration and continues casting"...so...me dunno, jus be kareful wit him hehe

Hello - just wondering if I would be able to solo him easily? I am a Lvl 42 half elf Paladin with Soulfire, ~850AC and 1500hp+ with self-buffs - don't forget lay hands and greater healing! I am a bit concerned since there really isnt anywhere to run out there if something goes wrong. I am mostly concerned with adds or whether he is much harder than his level suggests. I assume I'll have to kill him several times since he doesnt drop everything each time. Lol. so I can't really use my lay hands on each kill =) Thanks.

OK i FOUGHT HIM ONCE WITH A BARD FROM GUILD WITH ME i WAS ABOUT 45 i THINK OR LOWER AND MY PARTNER WAS ABOUT 30-35 CLOSER TO 30. BASICALLY i PUT ALL RESISTS ON BOTH OF US CAUSE i HEARD HE CASTED FOR LIKE 250 MAX SO i WANTED RESIST AND IT HELPED A TON. i PULLED WITH MY SCOURGE, AND THEN 2 ADDS CAME i ROOTED HIM IMEDIATLY.MY PARTNER CHARMED THE 2 ADDS AND STARTED HITTING HIM WITH THEM. THEN i JUST HAD A DD BATTLE WITH OOWOMP AND i WON OF COURSE. thank god for magic resist. THEN i HELPED TAKE OUT THE ADDS AND i GOT GREAT EXP BUT MY FACTION WENT FROM AMIABLE TO KOS IN 1 KILL. i WENT BACK LATER TO SEE IF i COULD SOLO THEN REMEMBERED THE ADDS. NOT A GOOD IDEA TO TRY A MOB WITH GARAUNTEED ADDS IN A PLACE WITH A TON OF WATER AND NO LEV. THAT'S MY EXPERIENCE i THINK THE DD i SED WAS WINTER'S ROAR IT'S A SHAMMY SPELL AND SCOURGE FOR THE PULL. HOPE THIS HELPS

takes maybe 2 bubs of mana. if i can do it with a 39 mage with pretty average gear....then you can easily do it with a freaking soulfire. he will slow you tho.

Well I am a lvl 33 Druid and I decided to go woop up on him. I soloed him several times with little difficulty. The only things he cast on me were walking sleep a 81hp DD spell and one time a DOT. The few times that he did hit me it was for around 90hp. He did not seem to have much bite at first, but then on my last kill before loging (yeah everyone has had this happen) he resisted my DD spell 4 times in a row leaving me oom. He quickly turned me into Halfling Pie. This however will not deter me from going back and wooping up some more. If you can find his camp open (which is a feat on its own) this is a good camp. Oh to solo him I have 200 wisdom and other mana items. Good luck

Yo 44 bard here JW if i could solo this guy, my stuff isn't that good and i can't take that much damage. I'm a pretty good solo but not really.

I don't see why not, just keep twisting those tunes and stay away from him. I've only seen him cast two spells, neither of wich did any damage to me and I'm a 48 wizard. You could kick in your haste tune to get away if you needed to and then go find help as you won't be able to zone without the aid of the boat or the raft.

I'm a Lvl 35 Necro and I camped him with a 45 Druid. He was very easy for us, the druid would snare, then I would hit him with VoS. Then we would split up. He would aggro on me, then the druid would nuke him and he'd head towards him, then I'd nuke and he'd turn towards me... kept doing that while my pet beat on him the whole time.... Piece of cake!! I used about 1-1.5 bub of mana each round. Watch out for him gating though.... I soloed him a few times after the druid left. When he gets too far from the camp he'll gate... I had him down to a sliver of health when he gated, then he came back at me with 1/3 of his health back!! Watch for the gate ;)

ok the dancing skellie is not hostile to anyone that is not iksar my de necro conned indiff to the dancing skellie and he was a wuss I enjoyed kicking both of their bums :) I had to see the dancing skellie and i was ready to take the risk of dying (peeps said earlier he no like non iksars) well that is falicy :) but enough about that it is fun to see him take his head off

Ok, here's the deal.
Oopwomp is round 34 and is no undercon, he has quite a lot of HP since he's an Ogre and can heal, and dot your ***. If you have under 500HP, dont camp him or you'll die by his dot. Me being a mage at 43 can kill him easy and is fairly decent exp better than 40 cuz you're in hell.
He spawns every 5-6min and has no PH. HE drops all the items above listed fairly often but usually alcahol or words.
If you can solo him you won't get any adds the other Ogres are round 20 and are wusses, just stand away from the huts and pull oowomp when he pops.
You'll understand when you see the lay out of the camp.
Take boat from Oasis and get off when it reaches the island and head right along the shore.
He hits for max 77 with AC of 550 on me but use air or earth if being a mage cuz if he agroes on you pet will have a hard time taunting him so it's best if he's stunned or rooted.

I've killed him 47 times, maybe it's just bad luck, but he hasn't dropped a thing. Not to sure on what you meant by him dropping things often, but I haven't gotten a thing off him at all.

Hello, here's my two bits:
First, i'm a 45 ogre warrior, with 1800hps... sometimes this guy took off one bub of health, sometimes almost three. To be safe, i generally went at him with 1200 hps. I have 795ac, not bad but not great. I also got an fbss recently and two yaks (ykesha very nice to help interrupt him)
Second, he casts the following spells: targar's insects (which i resisted EVERY SINGLE TIME with 17pr, 72mr, 17dr, 37cr, 27fr). Scourge, a mean disease dot spell, not sure exact dmg but it takes about 2 bubs of health from me. I usually have to hope it hits me at end of fight, but it rarely hits anyway. Walking sleep, which i also resisted everytime. Heals, which i have a hard time interrupting sometimes.
All in all, a fairly easy camp, he killed me once when i went into fight with only 1/2 health instead of 3 bubs (yes, that 1/2 bub actually makes a difference). I killed him about 10 times and got a lot of alcohol (which i promptly consumed) and 1 turtleshell helm. I'm definitely staying out there for some time (gotta go back to Guk eventually) :)

I don't understand...Perhaps he varries from server to server as I've never seen him cast either of those spells. And he's never dropped a thing for me, not even money...

You shouldn't have a problem, and should get decent xp. I posted a reply below to the person asking about being a necro and soloing. Check it out. One recommendation would be for the Druid to Over nuke so that he draws the agro and then you act as a pet wacking as the snared Oowamp chases the druid...just a thaught.

me (30th monk) and my 35th ranger friend tried this guy wen we were bored, conned red to me, blue to ranger. I tanked whilst the ranger nuked til oom, i FD'd with about 50HP left and sent in ranger for some melee action! ranger died so i got up to finish him off (he had about 50HP left too) next thing i know... im dead!!! DAMN POISON DOT!!! this guy is big undercon so be warned!!

You should be able to fear kite him with little problems. I started killing him at level 39, and I'm a wizard. I would snare and then blast. Should fall quickly with your pet on him.

Took him down yesterday...I'm a ranger of 40 seasons. I got him after initial kill(no buffs). He didn't heal himself so that was a plus. He did less than 2 bubbles of bar of damage to me. Started with SS then meleed it and casting CL while fighting him. When he ran i snared it, resisted 1 snare. There's the lowdown. So yes a 46 ranger can solo him =) GL...

Nullify magic does indeed strip all his buffs and makes him easy to kill :-) I can now kill him as a lvl 39 wizz by casting Nullify, Immobilise, then nuke & root if necessary .

Oowomp spawns 6 minutes after his death. A group of 2 druids (I'm lvl 35, my friend is lvl 40) can kill him in less than a minute. He is camped a lot by casters for the Batskull Earrings and the Chipped Bone Bracelets. Since he spawns so quickly, it's easy to camp here and just keep killing him while trying to get this stuff. The mask also has a +3 int stat, so that's sought after from time to time.
He drops a lot of FS wpns, if you see him carrying one, you can bet your money it'll be fine steel. I give these to newbies and they're usually grateful for it.
He has no PH. Just an easy camp for some good loot, if you're lucky to get the good stuff...I've gotten everything on the list (and lots of alcohol and FS wpns), but still wanting to get my second chipped bone bracelet.

This guy on Ayonae hasn't been droppig anything. A couple small things, NO earrings... bout 20 hours of camping non stop.... verant sucks for crap like that... COME ON DAOC hopefully they don't do anything like that

Can a 46 Ranger solo him if I snare, dot, DD, then melee for the rest of the fight? My AC and ATK are pretty high, and I'm using a 11/25 and a 12/24. Both with tons of stats on it.
Is he soloable by a level 41 shaman? Don't have that great wis (err, that's why I'm planning on camping him ;) )? Wis is only 158 with wis stuff on, but... Any ideas?

I was still getting exp from him at 44. I went from lv 43 to 44 camping him.

Not much information about him. Probably be good to say things like whether he sees invis/illusion, what class he is (though it seems other people figured it out) and what factions, if any does he increase/decrease.

does not see invis...cons indiff to wolf form...no faction hits for killing him....fairly good xp off him at 40...also is a shammie ( ie he can heal himslef, drowsies frequently as well as occaisonal DD's)......the known loot list above is pretty acurate...he drop infrequently, usually has little to no cash drop and occaisionally drops FS weapons :)
