In the Firiona Vie outpost, find Lenka Stoutheart. She is a barbarian woman in the same hut as an ogre and dwarf. Hail her. Ask her to "show me something interesting". She will begin to tell another dialogue string, but just ignore her and leave. By asking her about "something interesting" you have triggered the spawning of Sir Hobble.
Now head out into the wilderness to the east, preferably with a tracker. When you find Sir Hobble, hail him. He will say something about Squire Fizzmin. Hailing Sir Hobble spawns Squire Fizzmin in town. Keep following Sir Hobble. Squire Fizzmin will make a bee-line to wherever Sir Hobble is.
Unfortunately, Squire Fizzmin will be too busy helping and following Sir Hobble for you to be able to do much more than hail him and speak of few key phrases. Trying to give him the scales was a pain while he was running along.
Keep following them and help them kill any mobs that double-team them. They are tough and can handle most solo mobs. Once Sir Hobble and the Squire complete their "circuit" of the zone, Squire Fizzmin will break away and head back towards town. Follow him until he comes to a stop and complete the quest. For me, he came to a stop behind the big temple looking building.
I am sure some people have been able to give him scales and complete the quest while he was running around but it's much easier to just keep them alive and wait for Squire to stop.

I did this quest a few days ago and Hobble was already on track but fuzzmin was nowhere to be found. I begin tracking hobble and find him fighting 4 drolvargs so I stayed away and watched him die /mourn. I waited and another minute later I saw him on track again so I find him and hail him, "Squire Fuzzmin come quick, a talking bear.." or something like that. Hobble is kinda blind if you didn't know :). Fuzzmin did not spawn in town like most people think. I found him on tracking closer towards swamp of no hope killing a spider, so I nuked it and weeee he ran like the wind for hobble. Lucky for me I got the quest done while fuzzmin was buffing hobble /grin.

And bring a tracker along if you aren't one yourself. Much easier to find Hobble that way... just leave the docks area and head east (and a touch north) and he will soon pop up on track. Hail him, and wait for Fuzzmin to show. You can help Hobble in the mean time by waiting til he's attacked something then snaring the mob and kiting it around til Hobble kills it :)
When Fuzzmin shows, scout around quickly and make sure there's no drolvargs around, tell Fuzz the key phrases, and give him the scales while keeping up with him. He's really not that fast, I had SoW on but I didn't need it to keep up - and Fuzzmin just keeps pace with Hobble when they meet up and Hobble is SLOW!
If you see drolvarg nearby that the pair will be attacking, wait til they do, snare, and let them both beat on the mob til it's dead, then do the quest.
A friend and I (he had to hold a set of scales for me) did this quest twice in about 20 minutes.

Just logged off EQ. Got my Wurmslayer just like Tosh explained. Hailed Lenka Stoutheart (Loc: -2974 +2998) and then headed east from bridge out of dock area. Found sir Hobble headed West in a slow walk. Hailed him, and about 3 minutes later, along came Fuzzmin. Fuzzmin follows right behind Hobble. I had what I needed to say to Fuzzmin in hot keys so I didnt have to bother with trying to type while keeping up with them. I gave Fuzzmin the Dragons Scales as he walked behind Hobble, and it wasn't too hard at all. Thanks Tosh!

be linked in wurmslayer quest? and im 51 druid
and cant find hobble on track with others
helping in zone.. i hear spawn was nerfed..
and we hail lenka jus in case.. hehe anymore

It hasnt been nurfed did it 3 times last week, the thing is he can die very quikly , he often runs into the drovag camp , or the gang of froggy's. If you havent found him in about 15 min , go rehail him

i ran all across that zone and never saw him once. i have been told he goes to the DL cave. i waited there for 3 hours and he never showed. WHERE IS HE?

I'm a lvl 42 Troll Shadow Knight. Will I be KoS to this guy? If so, can I do the quest invised or should I kill the Wurms and get the scales and then give the scales to my twink to get the Wurmslayer.

do it when he is running or somthing,that way you dont have to go into FV :P just catch him when he is on th outskirts :P
