Tattered Note This guy is funny to kill.. heheh.. would never have slaughtered him except when a lvl 12 warrior was curious if he was up, he was, and I nuked him once and he died. The warrior never told us he was across the zone, and when he got here the corpse had already decayed, so how long does it take him to respawn? =)

Goob is part of the Ogre War Maul quest in Kaladim. You must kill his brother Boog as well (LvL 18.) Goob is apparently a shaman, and can root. Given that you are on the island with cyclops and Gornit, I would be wary when attacking him.

Same deal, I tried him at 20 and he wasted me. I got him down to about 30% health. He just kept casting...if only i could have gotten him to try and hit me more, i woulda had a chance. =) I'll wait til 22 i think. His brother lit me up like a torch. (he's supposed to be easier) but luckily i got some help from some high lvl people and killed him.

was swimming around ocean of tears with my 20 necro and saw this boob.. he conned even so i sent in my pet and stacked every dot i had on him and siphon lifed until he died.. burnt all my mana and pet still had like 40% health pretty easy for a necro.

I decided to complete this quest yesterday. Goob consed white to me (22 warrior), so I asked a 55 shaman (Xanou I think his name was) to cast a buff on me. He was a total prick and said he didn't want to waste the mana on me even though I was bandaging him at the time (I hate E-bay bought chars). First time I fought him he wiped me out fast. He rooted me, diseased, poisoned, smite, smite, smite, smite, smite, smite, dead. He took my 800 hps before I could do any significant damage to him.
The Second time I fought him some 55 chars cast some buffs on me (25 dmg shield, etc). He still slaughtered me.
Then a really kind cleric rezed me, buffed me (resist magic/poison/disease/hot/cold, greater valor, hp buffs, symbols, the whole 9 yards). I was still loosing the fight until the cleric healed me. If I had to do it again I'd wait till level 25 min.

Boog drops a note from Goob tipping you off to the latter's location. Look for him around the stone circle on the same island as Gornit, the giant you see from Sirensbane. That's all I have on this quest. Don't need the maul--hideous delay, if I recall. Don't need the faction--warmly to Kaladim's warriors already. Just wanted to tick it off the list, I guess. You work your way up learning about the various quests and say, "I can't wait 'till I can do that one!" By the time the day gets close, you've already got something else on the wish list and something better in your hand or pack. I don't know. If I'd been more of a grouper, I'd be a lot farther along, but . . . . it's just not my idea of what role-playing my character should be. Those of you I have grouped with know I don't yak a whole lot(unless auctioning) and don't group much at all. Off the soapbox. Good Hunting! Eworthing, Pal, Lanys
