Confirming there are 2 spawns in the bear pit, 1 near giants, and 4 in the wolf caves. I saw Snowfang spawn in 4 of the seven spots, so its likely any rabid in zone is a placeholder. Took me six kills to get the three augments I wanted, so the aug doesn't seem to be terribly uncommon. Map file data:

We were down in the Bear pit looking for Icemaul, when we go him to spawn twice from the Rabid Wolf that spawn in the room with the spiders at the same spot. That being said i think that Any Rabid Wolf is the place holder for this mob he spawn at both spawn points for the wolves where we camped.
Killed him today he casts a silence with a mana and hp dot
