Okay folks, He's real easy for a wizzy. I killed and then I saw the faction hit. It's big. DE wizzy now threatening with knights of truth, which is good.

and dodges well. I descided to take my lvl 15 warrior back e.fp for something and since he spawned while i was there.....I killed him, hardest part was gfetting a bead on him once he started running. It was fun so I logged and got back on as my main -a rogue- and back stabed him to death. heheh

I was in East Freeport with my lvl 9 barbarian beastlord alt (i think he was around lvl 6 at the time) when this guy walked by. He conned light blue to me i think, and i wasnt sure of his factions, so i started attacking him, still not sure if i should kill him or not (i didnt wanna mess up my freeport faction). I got him down to low health and he started running to the guards, so i thought that it would hurt my faction or the guards would attack me or something so i stopped attacking and zoned out. O well, aparently he wouldnt have hurt my faction.

i killed him today with my lvl 18 necro, hit him twice with lifedraw. had no idea what book was for till i came here (thnx u all roxxor), have yet to try to do quest

He does travel from east to west across the whole zone, about halfway between the gate and the N Ro zone. When he gets to the west end of the zone he stops for no more than a minute or two and then despawns. Hope this helps someone.

He's a quest npc for enchanters, hes sussposed to be the 1st quest they do, he was a enchanter that tried to make a potion that made in vulnerable in visible not sure what. but instead it drove him mad, the quest is to kill him and take the book with the formulae back to the guildmaster. never completed it but thats because i could never find him.

Heh, I was having a conversation with a Level 6 peep, a warrior I think, cant quite remember, and this guy walks by and the peep i was talking to decided he wanted to kill Lydl. But Lydl coned green to me (Level 12 Enchanter) and the Lvl 6 peep asked me to help him, but i wouldnt because i didnt know what factions he had associated with him. Well all i can say is a Level 6 peep got their arse wiped for them as he ran to the zone to get away. Lydl is a caster, and I figure he's an under con. Just thought I'd mention it. :-)

Thats extremely sad, he conned blue to my lvl 3 monk and i wiped the floor with Lydl.

This is rather useless info, but he conned white to my level 4 twink today. So his level range can be from 3-4.
Following faction adjustments through killing him:
- Dismal Rage (FP SK and Necro guild)

He can only be hurt by magical items and spells, and he drops a locked book, which u turn in to a wizard guildmaster in Freeport. And guess what ytou get? a lvl 1 wizzie spell. =(

Well, I ran across him and he conned green glowers dubiously at me. I jumped him and he fell quick. Less than 50 points of damage to kill him. I got two negative adjustments and one positive. He goes from east to west in the newbie zone. Drops the locked book (not sure what quest). He disappears at neg 1045 by neg 175. By the way, I'm a 18th lvl war at this time. Hope this helps some folks.

I saw this guy walking around and he was blue to me so I figured I could kill him pretty easily. Wrong. Without a magic weapon my pally had no choice but to run. Unfortunately you don't find out he's resistant until you've attacked and it's too late.

I agree with Dulgen that he's not THAT hard.I was lvl 4 when I killed him with my pet.He died pretty easy.

I was a lvl 5 cleric when I took him down.....wasn't that hard at all. Just had myself buffed a bit, then dropped him. HE dropped a locked book.....hope I can still get something out of it. His xp was crappy.

I was walkin thru freeprt underground and i saw this guy, like all human NPCs green to me, i killed him, he drops a locked book, if this is the right guy. It may not be tha same guy ur talkin about, but it sounds similar enuff

You're either going to have to do nothing but cast or have a magic weapon to nail this guy. I would recommend having at least two people around level 5.
