Aggroed on me as I came into Innothule. Dropped Very Large Pelt, Alkaline Loam, and Grade E Nigriventer Venom. EDIT: As I was typing this post, came back to EQ to find my riposte had killed another Jojongua spawn. Obviously an easy kill for a 74 SK passing through. Possible common spawn??
This big fella was hanging out right next to the PoK book in Innothule. He attacked me right as I zoned in. He might have been standing there because someone pulled him to the zone and he just stood there lying in wait.
This could also imply that he is now a roamer in Innothule 2.0; instead of being a static spawn at the ruins in the north of the zone.
Has anyone seen this guy? I am wanting to do this quest for my beloved's Pallidan (while I am logged on him) for his Christmas present, but want to make sure if everything is working for the Princess quest. Thanks for any responses:) Also, if I see that this guy still spawns I will come back so the guy who posted in July will also have a reply, hehe:)
Does anyone know if he still spawns? and if so, what sort of timer he is on? I sat at the tower for a good 3 hours killing everything in sight, and never saw him, much to my chagrin.
Yes, this mobs spawns. Just killed it 2001-11-06 It conned green to me (lvl30) and dropped the skin. It was a VERY easy fight for a 30-warrior. It aggroed on me when I came close though...
Does this Fool Still Spawn in innothule? Date of this Post is 10-29-2001.
I can remember back in 1999 this Little **** would have all us Noob trolls Running. I'm 45 soon to be 46 and Would JUST LOVE to Steam roll all over this guy.
If I'm in Innothule and this guy spawns, Give Grindlox Bertox server a tell, and I 'll happily make this guy take a Dirt NAP!
I was camping Grimrot in SK, and figured it would be faster to get the Silent watch Shield, boy o boy was i wrong, forget him, in the time it took me ot even see the little ratb*sterd i killed the live and undead form of Grimrot,Trust me, do the Aegis of Life quest, youll save yourself some time and a WHOLE lot of headach, just my 2cp =)
I'm almost level 12, me and some level 14 (shm, war, enc) buddies are gonna go kill jojo...how many of us yall think it'll take to kill the little ****?
You wouldn't be able to. 95%+ of your spells wouldn't land. 95%+ of your attacks would do diddly.
This isn't because of who this MOB is...it's because you are trying to kill a 30+ lvl MOB with character's 1/2 or more than 1/2 his level. Any MOB at this level would tear through you.
#Anonymous,
Posted:Jul 17 2001 at 1:59 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not 95, but 100% of your spells would fail to land. You can't hit any mob 6 levels above you or higher with spells, period. 100% resist. This is why the highest level dragons in the game are level 65 - JUST under the 6 level limit for level 60 characters to kill. Its just part of the game mechanics. Don't think y'all can melee him to death either, he'll rip you to shreds =P
I am not sure that this information will assist the less-experienced but I shall share it: As a Paladin in my 19th season, I have been hunting in the Oasis of Marr and I prefer to hunt alone. However, due to the numerous spectres and sand giants roaming the area this day, I found myself grouped with a druid of the 15th moon, an enchanter of the 18th turning, and a ranger of the 19th moon. We decided to see what opportunities Upper Guk presented to us. Through South Ro and into Innothule Swamp we traveled, dispatching many Derv's and mummies along the way. As we entered the swamp, we turned to run to Guk. A bold kobold took offense to our passing and attempted to vent his displeasure upon us. He was very young and no difficulty. Suddenly, we found ourselves struck from behind! Jojongua, the kobold hero, was angered that we'd struck down one of his kin! He was a tough sort but we eventually laid him to rest. He yielded his skin, which another member of our group took. He was a bit of a challenge, but not overly so.
*ooc* i think this guy's about 20-25, maybe 25-30...not sure...he spawned while we were on the walled zone edge between sro and uguk, right after we took out a high-green kobold...4 ppl took him down in a matter of 2-3 min r/t...'course, DoT's are wonderful things :)...the item is quest, for the Shield of the Silent Watch, in Felwithe...
I killed this when I was walking from Guk to South Ro, along the wall near South Ro. I'm level 28, and it was high green to me - not level 30. Also, the pelt wasn't no drop, which I think might be a change.
Hiyas. I's Bazuka, troll shaman. Jojo is a ****, dat ain't no joke. He's like level 20-25ish and tuffer dan a overcooked dwarf. Like my buddy Dorn, he's way underconned for da damage he can do, which is 45 a pop wit' double attack. Be tankful he don't spawn dat often...I tink once a real day at most, den he despawns after a while. He pops in da tower out near da South Ro zone, den wanders. I've run into him a few times in various lives, never been able to kill him. He's a zone clearer if he gets past Guk into da newbie area. I saw him and one o'da troll slayers go at it, and da slayer lost bad. I hear dere's some high elf pally what wants his hide, but good luck gettin' it. Jojo's tuff, but Jojo's sneaky too. He never pops when ya wants him...he just jumps ya from behind when yer back's turned. Maybe one o'yer tracker buddies can find him fer ya, I dunno. Nuff fer now, see yas.
I'm not sure if you understand how damage caps work. Something that is level 20-25ish should hit for 40-50 dmg. When I was level 19 I hit for a max of 32, (with a Dark Reaver 20dmg). When I hit level 20 I hit for a max of 52ish. I believe that your damage cap is raised considerably every 10 levels. Not sure when the final cap is done away with, someone told me level 30, but I don't think so. Why Verant did it this way instead of a more gradual change, the world will never know. (There is a somewhat gradual change, but then it jumps. Like at level 11 I hit for 28, then at 19 I hit for 32) However, mobs work the same way. So get over it. Also it's always a good strategy to try and kill things that are level 19 or 29 or 39 etc...As they hit considerably less hard than something 1 level above them.
Yes he does wander the zone from time to time, once he walked up to the troll newbie area, thats another funny story, but he normally either spawns inside the tower or outside and then he walks around the zone, but mostly he might stay near the tower, my friend said that this guy has hide, maybe thats why? I'm still yet to check this out..
You are absolutely right. He conned blue to me at 23 and I took him down rather easily. Lost about 2 bubs of health and he was dead. Hits for no more than 40 or so points.
I just killed the damn thing today, i am a 27 mage and it was blue to me, but took me down to 44 HP. (I had no pet) it hits for around 45. As a loot just minor coin and a Large Pelt (Lore, No Drop) was found.
I was playing with my troll SK when he came and killed me in a flash. So I logged with my druid ( lvl 30 ) to kill him. Soon after I had him on track and killed him by S ro zone - he was wandering around. He did drop some money but no skin. One strange thing, his corpse didnt diseapear after I looted it so I checked again and he still didnt have anything. I logged again with my SK and the corpse was still there, I tried to loot again but still nothing. The corpse took around 10 minutes to decay. BTW his name is a lot longer than Jojongua, its more like Jojonguagajongugaujonguajongujon, not kidding. I hope this can help any paladins out, bye.
There must be more than one of these. The Jojongua is 20 lvl tops. My 21 druid cooked him up the other day (he conned low blue) and his name was definitely Jojongua. Must be a higher level version that spawns with a longer name. It dropped the 'a very large pelt' and no coin.
In 4 months real time I have seen this NPC once and it was wandering around in the area that the regular kobold hunters wander through. A 20 Ogre SK soloed him eventually although Jojo almost killed him. So the level above is probably off.
This is the kobold necessary for a paladin quest. But I have no idea where he is. The quest sheet on Allakhazam says he spawns in the tower. But all I found there were lots of undead skeletons... anyone have a clue where this thing may be?
I understand that there are now 2 quests for this beastie... one for the Princess and another where a paladin/cleric in felwithe as if your are new to the realms or a vetern of the fight... what is the reward for that quest?
