[Sat Sep 16 13:45:48 2017] A gnoll high shaman is struck by a blazing summer's dew. [Sat Sep 16 13:45:48 2017] You have slain a gnoll high shaman!
I killed one and the only faction I got was "Verish Mal got worse", but I can't find this faction on this site. (just got the same faction hit off a regular gnoll shaman in lake rathe.)
last night i was with a panter he was a necro anyways i got a rune total staff it is ok i keep it because it is magic but this guy hit hard luckly i got heal so i didnt die but some high lvl losers they were about 40ish pull a gaint mob i got away with half a buble of life but my parnter he died good thing he was bound at arena
I'm not sure when they changed the faction for these gnolls, but since the last patch, July the 11th I think, they now carry the VerisheMal faction. I have never heard of this faction until now. They are always scowled ready to attack, even before killing one. Anyone have any ideas who the faction belongs to?
as far as I can tell, the gnolls that spawn by SK zone in Lake Rathe during the daytime are servants of Rodcet Nife and the Temple of Life. The undead (including the undead gnolls like exhumed gnoll) are servants of Bertoxx just like Sabertooth and Splitpaw gnolls.
I find it off that after spending most of my life in the bowels of Blackburrow and East Karana destroying Gnolls, that the Gnolls of Lake Rathetear would consider my anywhere from Indeferent to Friendly, when they are listed as having faction with the Sabertooth and Splitpaw Clans.
Recently (one of the recent patches as of 3/24/01) killing the living Gnolls gives negative faction with a new clan of Gnolls. Leve...something. Certainly had an L as the first letter, but nothing to do with any existing faction I have heard of. Sorry, don't have the specific name right here, but it was one I had never seen before.
Also, they now call out to the Prime Healer when attacked. When killed, they say, "Temple... Life... Get you!" Hmm, I thought, maybe the Gnolls had abandoned their evil ways. Nope, as long as they are still scowling, I'll still be shredding them.
I was passing through lake rate the other day, and well green gnolls were in my way so i began buthchering them and to my suprise they are on the same factions as my paladin, they gave me a -Priest of life, +gnoll... and a bit more anyway just negative toward my paladin. so beware good guys when a gnoll cons amiable do not attemp to kill it cause you may find yourelf ready to attack to you guildies.
i was killing them for about a week and when i killeed one he had a nice dagger a Crysknife its a magic piercer 4 dmg 21 dly its a great weapon i never got another one though
I have been hunting these guys regularly , so i'd like to get the ball rolling;
-They have several shaman spells; however, the only one they use which can really do much damage is root. The little dog-boys mainly stick to feeble spells like Frost Rift.
- They are surrounded by several gnolls, and are an uncommon spawns. However, if the High Shaman is blue to you, the others (except for other high shamans and embalmers) will not agro.
-The Runed Totem Staff is a semi-rare drop (1 in 5), but you can always tell if the High Shaman has it, as he will be holding it.
