I've camped Pyzjin over 93 hours now. I've killed her 18 times and not been ksed once. She hasn't dropped the stone. After killing her a 2nd time I came to this site to look at what it said about her. I've tried everything it said on different times. NONE of it worked. Pyzjin has no PH, she is on her own time. I've seen her spawn when I let everything stay alive, including the animal in her "spot" she spawned when that happened once. The only thing I have ever heard about her that is true is that she has 4 spawn spots, and I've only seen her spawn at 3, never at the ruins.

After trying to get the GBS for over 100 hours I decided to go against my no cheating policy and break out ShowEQ and find out wut is up with Pyzjn......For those who dont know ShowEQ is a linux based program that pretty much tells u everything about the game u could want to know from what items a mob will drop to what will spawn after you kill a mob to the class of a mob to well anything hehe.

Well for one thing....for those who say she is on a PH.....you are wrong....because she spawns on her own cycle, and does not share it with anything else.

About her dropping the GBS.....the game prety much does a /random 0 100 and if it gets from 0-12 she will drop the stone.

ok..... this is how it goes.... THERE IS NO FU*KING WAY to manually get pyz to spawn, hell i killed D'vinn after waiting about 45 minutes,5 min later he popped. DAMMIT you people are stupid, there is a max and minumum time she can spawn, just like the spell invis(if you people are even HALF smart enough to figure out what the spell invis does). invis can last up to around 6seconds to 30minutes, anytime in-between then it can wear off...... oh, JUST LIKE PYZJIN.... there is prolly a 2game day minimum spawn on her and at max around a couple weeks. she can spawn anytime inbetween there.

Several pages back some guy cut & pasted Shogun's method from the old Maximum EQ site - check it out! I know several people that swear by his method that have gotten the GBS several times. He's somewhat of a legend on Bristlebane.

Everyone seems to want to know who he really is or WHERE he is now...anyway, it's a good read

Hey folks, I can tell ya is that there is absolutely no theory about the pathing or drops of this freaking moron necro. Camped it over 500 hours over a period of 3 months. Everytime I got my ranger friend to join me. We started at lvl 25 and now we are lvl 49 and 51. Over the upteem times we have killed her. She drops no GBS. Most of the time a very "powerful" rusty dagger. LOL. Good luck all trying to 'steal' the GBS from this moron.

k my 2cp....
camped pyz for a VERY long time...usually spend 3-8 hours a day after work+ for the last 2 weeks....I've seen her once and no GBs....I've seen Varsoon once, and nuked him to the next world...and his undead form.....I've seen Tovax drop that letter near the runins once, and that was only cus I follwed him across zone and kept him alive.....all these were on different nights and apparently had no correlation with each other...

So here's my theory...

I think that the ruins works as sort of a "control center" for some of the rare spawns in qhills....I have followed the same strategy all the times I have camped here and I have concluded that the rare spawns in the area seem to be affected by what you do with that place holder that shows up....usually SOMETHING pops at 1 am gametime, but is usually gnasher or a gnoll hunter....the only reason that I conclude that these spawns are affected by what you do at the ruins is becuase they pop very close by on track and then rapidly move away from the ruins....

I think pyz herslef may be an intricate 2 gameday random spawn...where you basically have to follow a set pattern for 2+ game days in a row to get her to spawn...if there is a pattern....otherwise I would be one to believe that she is just a very, very rare spawn that is controlled by what you do at the ruins....

a couple of "coincidences" that I found interesting...

1) we've got both large rats and mangy rats that continually wander to the ruins during the day ( and sometimes night) to the same spots usually occupied by skellies along the outskirts of the circle...then disappear...letting them disappear doesnt seem to have any more effect than killing them does...anyone out there got an answer for this freakish anomaly?

2) Chanda Miller (grrrrr...i so hate her!) seems to run by the ruins at (usually) 10pm/11pm gametime...sometimes she beats up on skellies near the Ph spot...sometimes she just runs thru and stand over on the hillside staring at the camp...either she's some wierd undead fetishist, or this means something......

3) if you pick up the note that tovax drops near the ruins and follow him around during the next time he spawns (provided you get disgusted with his inability as a postal courier and mercilessly nuke him, as I did..) he will wander about and stop occaisionally and whine, complain, and moan about how S'ragg is gonna have his head for losing his letter......trying to be a goody goody does no good...if you give the poor sod his letter back he politely tells you to *&^$#@ yourself and then wanders away...and never seems to be able to do whatever it is he's supposed to do with that damnable letter again.....also, he does not drop it if you kill him after you've given it to him...nor does he drop it previously to his arriving at the ruins...so to that guy who keeps saying NPC's cannot spawn items after they spawn ingame....think again...

So, in conclusion, camping for Pyzjn is very very bad for your mental health.....you may try all these tactics posted on this page, you may devise your own...you may even take the time to try and be as analytical about everything that happens during the time you camp her...but I guarantee you this....there is no "proven" way to get her to pop...she is random, her drop is random, and i agree that all the time you waste hoping, pleading, cursing, and threatening to get her to pop will end up being time you wasted doing no levelling etc etc etc.....

oh, and one last thing...if you find yourself becoming so analytical about this camp that you start thinking "...there MUST be some connection between the 3 standing columns at the ruins and the fact that there are three necro spawns in QHills...Tovax and Varsoon are the two large columns and Pyz is symbolized by the short column...yeah, that MUST have something to do with it!!!"............then you KNOW you have camped here WAY too long :)......call your guild in, wipe the zone clean ( from top to bottom, guards and everything else) wait the night out...and keep hoping fer that spawn:)

I just sat at those stupid ruins for 16 in game days with a lvl 60 ranger tracking. There is no way to make her spawn thats in these posts. I tried everything single one and 0 have worked. It is really annoying to wait that long trying one method at a time and none of them working. Think of this math before you actaully try to camp her. lets say she spawned on the 16th day. now lets think of how rare the stone iteself is (1 out of 10). So every 16 days she might drop one out of 10. 16x10. If I do my math correctly thats 160 days for a GBS to spawn. There should be a step over ultra rare and imposible. Thats what I would call this spawn

I reccomend reading ampere's post on page 3(when sorted newest first, or I guess 10 if you have it sorted oldest first) it has some great info.

Additionaly here are some notes on pyzjn. If you read this read ampere's post too and you will have all the info you need.

There is only one placeholder, but it can be many different things.
The placeholder will walk up to the ruins and stop, usualy from the South southwest or the west.

Other posts say kill everything and some say dont touch anything and some say leave the dreads, but it doesnt matter a sigle bit at all, even if something worked for you once or twice or ... whatever, the reason why it worked is because it doesnt matter what the conditions are with the other skelli's.

The reason you may want to kill everything is so that you know if another placeholder spawned or not, more important for those who do not have track. Those with track can time it and then look to see what popped up at the expected time. Keeping as many skelli's up untill about 4 or 5 minutes before spawn time and then killing them will leave less confusion trying to find out if a placeholder spawned or if pyzjn is on her way.

Varsoon is another one of the mobs that can spawn instead of pyzjn.
(Just like some other zones, one spot may not alwasy have only one type of mob that spawns in one place, Example: One time it could be an orc pawn, next time maybe a centurion)
Varsoon and pyzjn are just rare pops from a single placeholder.

If varsoon spawns and you dont want to kill him or cant, or dont want any more traffic in the ruins area then Train him to Niclaus Ressinn (he is the cleric(??) whom when you hail will give you a line about not likeing dead things, he also hates varsson but doesnt say so)

Varsoons pet has about 700hp so unless you can take that and varsoon hitting ad casting on you, possably fearing you also then dont try to kill him and just train him.

When varsoon is dead Varsoon the undieing will spawn and you will need to know where Holly is at (Holly Windstalker, the person who will attack you if she see's you harming animals)
Train varsoon the undieing to her and get away.

You may want to add a few rusty maces or throwing daggers to your equipment bags before you head out so you can pull him by throwing, or if you have a bow thats cool too, you dont really want to get hit and stunned because he casts and can hit ok also.

Make sure you have sow because they both will cast and you should get as far away as you can after you pull so you dont die trying to get back to Niclaus or Holly to let them attack him for ya.
