I really want this spear for my rogue but i only have like 30pp in da bank so im thinking of going down to Najena and killing Drelzna but by the sounds of it, the multiple HTing scares the hell outta me cuz im a lvl 34 iksar monk with 838hp and my mend is random so i might take my friend who is a 34 shammy along if she's willing and then i think my probs are covered. wish me luck!

I'm not sure that her level is correct (listed at 30). At 41 she was green to me, whereas Najena (28) was consistently light blue. Perhaps her level varies somewhat, but not likely. My guess is that she is under 28.

My Paladin was sitting in Lavastorm waiting for a port one day, and I got the urge to go see Najena.
Amazingly, all the named mobs were up to get the key for Najena herself, including Drelzna....
I had fully buffed myself, as I had just gotten 52, and didn't want to lose it. I had about 2300 HP, and a MR of about 50%.
I walked into the room, and pulled Drelzna with my Flame of Light spell. She cast Engulfing Darkness (I resisted) then charged at me.
In the battle that ensued, I hot Harm Touched about 7 times in the course of 5 minutes, all varied from about 140hp to 230 something HP. I scrolled up, and they were all Harm Touches.
I dropped from 100% HP to less than 20% in the course of a few minutes. I didn't want to risk being killed, and I wasn't able to cast any healing spells, so I Layed Hands.
In hind sight, I prolly could have mitigated alot more damage had I used Stuns on her effectively. But it seems those Harm Touches were proc based. Thats the only way I can account for the frequency of them

LOL! Your kidding right? I went into Najena with my 40 Iksar Monk...I think she hit me 4 times for less that 100hp each and started to run. Drelzna and Najena are both very weak for their lvls. Got the Stiletto and key off Drelz and the junk common drop (Flowing black robe) of Najena. Never saw the WidowMistress. By the way if she has Harmtouch, How can she be a Necro spell caster?
Hehe, an NPC necro can have harm touch. Haven't you heard of NPC privilege? NPCs can, and often do, have abilities that players of the same class don't have. And can be impossible race class combos, cast while running, take no damage from falling, never have to come up for air while swimming, control their pets from beyond the grave, etc., etc. I'm sure if you're level 40 you should have noticed thse things by now!

Ya I was in Najena the other day ( 35 wizard ) with my friend ( 25 warrior ) and we were looking around the cells when we come upon a room filled with mages (all green to me, light blue to my friend) well I didn't think they'd aggro...I was wrong...well long story short my friend died...I killed all the mages...Drelzna shows up. Now she hits hard for her lvl and she casts a lot harder. She took half my hp away in one cast and was double hitting me like crazy..well I almost killed her! one little nuke away. I really think if something is green to you it should'nt be able to whoop your a$$ now she's not really hard to kill at lvl 35 she just caught my off guard but god damn it...she pissed me off! Just thought I'd share.

I have the spear and it was a gift from a friend. It is pretty good but I don't use it alot. My piercing is maxed though because it's easy to max something with 22 delay and haste :P.

The Ashenwood spear dropped for me 2 nihgt ago, nice haste spell for a couple of secs and you don't even need to target yourself for the effect to work on you. Nice for Pking tanks or anyone that wants ta stand toe to toe with me.
I am a Shadow Knight and she does HT more then once. The most i have taken is 3 HT's 210, 126 and 60, and no it is not some sort of spell it is a HT. Thankgod it isnt for full amount each time.

She does HT more than once, when I first fought her she started our fight with a HT of 214, and halfway through she did it again for 251.

Lore No Drop. Came off of her two times we killed her. (Hunting for Mage epic words and was havein fun) Language skills are slightly to low to read it all that well, but I can get some. Seems to be in Dark Elf (Duh). Any ideas?

Im just wondering.... i hear mention of killing necros as PH's....Heard mention of "Near najens room" and "near rathyl" I DO NOT SEE how this NPC is near them..... If shes near necros she i downstairs on the invis side.... if she i near najen she is on the 1st floor near the back BY THE GOBBIES and if she is near rathyl she is downstairs near (same room) as the main magician spawn!! I will be honest, i have hunted najen more times than many and have NEVER seen this NPC. I do pretty much the same thing as that other player, start at the bottom and work my way through killing everything that moves (can be done in less than 5 mins with my pet) Hehe, go through cast burst of flame on everything(with pet upstairs) and run and pull everything and anything to him, cast an AE and poof, whole floor done)

She is in a locked room on the second floor down. Same floor as that rare spawn ghoul I think. She has two Necros and thier pets in the room also there is a Mage epic quest NPC that spawns in same room.

err... sk's can only HT once every hour in a half, and the damage is pretty consistent. sounds like you were experienceing wizzie or cleric nukes? npc's have been known to break the rules alot (i.e. dual-wielding two 2hs or 2hb), but on all SK's, it's always been 1 HT per battle. heh, i WISH we could HT 5 times in a fight!!!!

ok, after about 2 years or camping najena i have a few things to clear up. drezla dropps the spear and dagger but spear is way rare, the dagger drops more often off widow, but she is real hard for her con, no mater what folks say, she damn near killed my shaman at 51, but i wasnt buffed or really expecting it, thanks nibbles!

She dropped a Torn Note for me as well as the dagger, but I can't find anything on it. Not on allakhazam anyway. its No drop and Lore, so its gotta be for a quest, can't read it so its not gnome, dwarf, halfling, or common. Any one got any ideas??

Drelzna used to drop jboots before the quest went in the game. The note is from Hasten to Drelzna saying he stole the boots...forget which language it's in.

I was in Najena last night and my group was camping the entire place (we were alone). The spear did drop from Drelzna.

Making a rogue pretty soon, camped the zone for awhile, got Stilleto, but never saw this spear. Killed this NPC about 7 times in 2 days....sigh, just bad luck I guess. BTW, got the Stilleto off of the Widowmistress, and she was blue at 40.

no longer drops, i been camping najena maybe longer than anyone on cazic server, and the spear no longer drops, you know after 3 months of hunting there, nah...no longer drops

I am reapor on Innoruck server I too believed that the spear does not drop however last night I went there to fool around and the ashenwood spear dropped I could not believe it.
so do not give up I just think it may be ultra rare

i use this spear and it is primary hand only, i am 100% sure of this. someone might have posted about this elsewhere but i dont wanna read through all the posts.

fought her solo at 32, she dropped fast, but she HTed me 5 times during the fight a bubble every time! no boodclaw proc or anything else, cause she dropped no weapon. had to use loh( beware.

While I never had her Harmtouch, the Stiletto did proc for her several times, so that may have been why you got it twice.
A guildmate and I went in here, I took her out at level 39, kill the center Necro who's her PH and just wait. When she pops, take a couple of steps forward (hopefully you're smart and are waiting in the little hall), she'll run forward and attack you.
She seemed to drop that earring every time, and we got 2 Stiletto's, but no spear.
She didn't seem to hit very hard, but that Bloodclaw proc hurt a little.
