Camping this guy on TLPs, the spawn timer for him and the other 2 royals/PHs are around 16mins

in room 10 there is an ice cube with a guy in it, is it this king,,, what ever? if so or even if its not, how do we get him out of the ice

He's a pretty easy mob for higher levels....in order to make it real easy for higher levels, go invis and work your way to the back of the King Room...only wizzies and elite guards can see through invis. At 50+ most of these gobbies won't aggro anyway. You can sit on the rocks all the way in the back and single pull all day long using any ranged weapon or spells. Just don't go too far to the left or you will end up having a friendly conversation with some mean giants that are way under conned. If you want to be sure you don't train, pull the gobbies all the way to the back right near the mound of rock. Piece of cake from there. Just don't let him run :)

Can a 55 Ranger solo this bish?

You would think he would look cool like some of the higher lvled Goblins on Kunark. But all look the same for some reason on Antonica. From the Whelps to the King they look the same!

Is he rare pop?

As a 42 shaman, I was able to work my way in carefully and solo the room. With my pet, I could dot a mob, and he'd come running at me without any of his friends. Then I'd root him and sic the pet on him. Shaman pets aren't terribly tough, but between the dot and puppy damage, they would go down pretty fast. With 170 wisdom, I'd need to med back up after 4 or 5 kills. The point here is that I could single-pull everything in the King's room without any trouble, and just kill the respawns as they came back.

Has the cloak always been rare? i killed the King over 12 times, i got bracers nearly everytime, except once where it was, strangly, a zaharn`s coronet. i was confused, but yes it was the king`s corpse, and yes a coronet.

After 12+ kills, he never droped the cloak.
Since i got the coronet from him, i thought about the possibility of his drops being broken.
the coronet should NOT drop from him, and, well, there`s rare and rare. 12+ kills and no drop, you start to think something is wrong. this was around 2 months ago, over a few weeks.

Its usually sold for around 1k, but if im not just having a real bad luck, it should be worth much more than that. at 1k, i will definitely buy it if i have the chance too, as i have given up on camping this item.

Anyway - it may or may not drop anymore. If it still drops, it may be very rare.


If someone gets one, please post it.

I'm a level 35 shaman. I don't dare go in perma very far by myself. I onlt go there for loot and other such things. I plan to group against ice giants soon but this guy is lower then me already by what I read on this site. do you think I'l be able to solo him or not. I do have a pet but I hear pets in perma are a no no

White Wolfhide cloak - 7ac 3str 3dex 5svcold 0.3 weight all / all.

I use this cloak as a monk, its pretty good. I would use the bracers as well but the whole iksar thing. Oh well we get some good iksar only quest bracers, so no big deal.
