The Mucktail gnolls of East Karana are famous for attacking anything that moves nearby. That even includes crag spiders, who promptly eat the gnoll's lunch...and passing snakes.

I watched a Mucktail attack a bullnose recently. I don't know why it fascinated me, unless it was the utter stupidity of it all. The gnoll won, but not by a lot.

Incidentally, if you want to, you can hang around and polish off gnolls that are weakened by fighting other mobs. I killed the gnoll that fought the bullnose snake with a single spell when the fight was done.
