3 box plus 3 mercs (88 wizard 3020 AA, 86 mage 910 AA alt, 85 mage 905 AA alt and 3 cleric mercs) took down today with ease. This was the easiest named I have done in HOT tier 1.

It was a very close call, but as a 90 Ranger with mixed T1/T4 gear (roughly 50/50), ~2100 AAs, and a T5 Journeyman cleric merc, I was able to merc-duo Malice. Couple of very close calls, couldn't have done it without my 1.0, Crackling Blades, Weaponshield, Warder's Wrath, and a couple of top end HoT potions. She wasn't inclined to cast heals when I was shielded, which was rather irritating, since there was more than one time where I was at ~40% when Crackling Blades went off.

Look for a corrupt orbweaver as the PH. There are only two of them in the zone and whenever Malice is up there's always only 1 corrupt up. Good luck.

pos 1319, -1444 13 is where i set up. Spiders are a placeholder for the named spider, Malice. At least, I killed a crapload of them to get the orb weavers to pop and it popped. It's not a static mob... it wanders around tha area like all the other spiders.

Dropped girdle of the feartouched arachnid.

Spawned once in about 2+ hours of killing in the zone. Had 6 in group: Lvl 86 cleric, Lvl 86 rogue; Lvl 83 ranger; Lvl 85 warrior (5700 hp); Lvl 85 mage; Lvl 85 chanter. Single pull. Ranger died. Slows landed, as did all of shammie spells. Took about 3 minutes to kill it. Great waist item: ranger rolled and won it.

Im guessing you meant the warrior had 5700 ac instead of 5700hp. Or maybe 57k hp fully buffed. Dredz's post is right on the money. I found both of them on track when i got closer to the north eastern part of the map. One of the a corrupt orbweaver was roaming around that area.
